Can the affected accounts movie to PornHub or a different tube site, at the same fee structure or lower? That seems to be the easiest solution for the upcoming change. If Only Fans doesn't want their money, why stay at Only Fans?

Of course, all of the adult content creators can go elsewhere, as well as all of their customers. I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of discussion on Twitter about where they will be going. Then we can look forward to seeing Only Fans declare bankruptcy in a few months.

The article states Only Fans is trying to raise money from outside investors. Only Fans is currently trying to establish a value of $1 billion or more. I assume that Only Fans is probably extremely profitable. The loss of porn revenue will hit revenues and any profits, but remember, Amazon went for many years without showing any earnings, and was still valued in the billions. So the chances of Only Fans declaring bankruptcy in the near future (without any hard details on the company's finances) are slim to none, is my guess. So fuck the sex workers, because Only Fans figures they will make more money and have less problems without the sex.

As my friend put it "It's not every day a company publicly announces it plans to go under by tanking it's business model." "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

Exactly - If Amazon had announced that they were going to eliminate books and everything else that people came on their site to buy, then one could make a comparison of Amazon and Only Fans. Only Fans exists because it's a place where customers go to join sites offering adult content - period. What's going to be left at OF after the adult content creators leave? Nothing that YouTube doesn't offer a million times more of.

Only Fans reversed course today and said they won't be banning sexually explicit material from their site. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

Not surprising, as they calculated just how quickly their entire customer base would have been gone. I hope smart adult content creators bargain with OF and other platforms for the highest percentage of the money possible.

Holly Randall comes through, again, with a clear cogent explanation of what was driving OF's actions - apparently MasterCard gave OF until October 1st to sign an agreement that they were monitoring all content on the site to be sure that it was all lawful activity - No CP, especially. Since OF had no way to monitor all of the content, including live shows for thousands and thousands of content providers, they chose to institute a ban on sexually explicit content as of October 1st - then backed down when they realized that they would go out of business if all their customers disappeared - but how have they dealt with the MC deadline? That's the big unknown. Is MC going to stop processing credit cards for OF on October 1st? Unknown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--Il2otsHHY
