Farewell to a movie queen Wasn't she just great - and beautiful? Elizabeth Taylor. A great actor and a very beautiful woman. To night the wife and I are going to watch Cat on a Hot Tin Roof...and tomorrow probably The Giant or Cleopatra. Praise to the queen - may she rest in peace. Liz Taylor was absolutely special. A child star, an adult star, superstar, incredibly sweet and loyal in her private life. A lot of turmoil in her life, both ups and downs.

One thing I liked about Liz Taylor was that although she took her acting seriously, she didn't take herself too seriously. And she was a genuinely caring person. That means a lot. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

If you've never seen "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", be prepared to be amazed. Edward Albee played right - in terrifying fashion! But "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" is excellent as well - Tennessee Williams beautifully done. She had quite a range as an actress, actually.

I think that Elizabeth Taylor means something different for people that are in their late 30's and older because we knew her more for her acting than her work on a variety of AIDS foundations. Not to mention that we also knew her when she was a major sex symbol. One of the few remaing old Hollywood great has paased from this life into the next. May she rest in peace. Long live the Brown Coats.

Hmm I totally missed that she died...was it recently? I'm guessing it was on the day off or around the same time Denner posted this....Interesting news.. I suppose I can say I was too young to know much about her...I think she was involved in some scandals in her life? I think I remember her being on SNL a lot become of things she did? I may be way off base though.... I know she was a movie star....did she do anything else that made big news? Well...thanks for the news Sexted From My iPad

As I stated in my post. Elizabeth meant something far different for people my age an older because we first knew her as a old time movie star. Depending your age and your affinity for old time movies then you may only know her for her foundation that helped raise large amounts of money to fight AIDS. She was one of the first stars to talk about it plublicly. Long live the Brown Coats.

Well, she survived eight marriages, two of them to Richard Burton, that's probably an accomplishment in itself. Apparently she also built an enormous fortune from real estate and her brand name. Thats what really made her standout in last part of her life. She stepped out, spoke up, and raised funds to help end that dreaded disease. She did it, when it was not cool to, at least in the oblivious Reagan years in the US JuicyBunnyCash.com

I am sorry to say that Liz took on this persona for me in "Who's Afraid..." and that was who she was to me for the rest of her life. Weird how that happens and Pink is probably right in that she was rangy. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee. If you're going to lay her head over the pool table and fuck her throat, get your fucking hand off her throat!
