Why such different opinions on BangBros? I haven’t done a scientific survey on this, but it seems like BangBros has more of a love/hate thing going on than other sites rated here and TBP. Yes, some sites may have garnered wildly different opinions based on subjective things like the type of model or something like that, but on one hand you have TBP and some PU members saying BB is the best thing since sliced bread and on the other hand you have a vocal (and convincing) group of PU members who say they’ve been scammed. Some have gone so far as to say that TBP/PU should delist them. That stands in stark contrast to the review posted at TBP today where the network was scored at 90 and no mention was made of the problems so many other subscribers had. And 90 at TBP, as you know, is a high score. So what’s the deal? Any idea why there is such a range of experiences here? Both sides seem firm in their positions and both seem to back those positions up with facts. I was a member there in 2012 and though I don’t think I wrote a review of any of the sites I track my memberships in a Word document. I really don’t remember much about the network, but me in the past left a message to me in the future by including a warning in upper case red letters. It reads :”DON’T REJOIN.” So me in 2012 is obviously on the side of the naysayers. Any ideas as to why there is such a range of objective opinion seemingly based on facts and personal observation? (I realize that this could have been a comment on the BB page, but I figured it was more of a forum topic because is isn't so much about the site as it is how there are two distinct and opposed camps here.)

In my mind it's because there will always be people who like cheap, massed-produced porn and Bangbros offers a ton of it. So, they either don't mind the risks or just minimize the risks in their mind in pursuit of cheap thrills. Yep - that's biased as hell, but that's how I see it. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

Perhaps I will not have the most valikd comment, because I never have & never would be a member but, quantity of content is no compensation for dodgy practises, if that is indeed what goes on. Cap'n. I can tolerate cheap, mass-produced porn if it stars models I like, but it seems the bigger issue is that so many of our friends here have found BB's practices to border on theft or fraud while others have never commented on that.

Agreed. My recollection now for why I wrote a note to myself to never rejoin is that there were some 'unusual' charges on my credit card after joining. Perhaps the solution is using a pre-paid card, which will at least limit the risk.

That's exactly what I meant by risks. I signed up to their network years ago, before all the bullshit started. As it is now, I wouldn't care if they put up stuff I've been trying to find for years - I still wouldn't sign up. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

This is the sort of thing that could bite TGP/PU in the ass. You cannot claim integrity and still link to BangBros.

I have been a member of bangbros many times over the years and I've never gotten burned once by their so called bad business practices so I'm not exactly sure why we see so many bad reviews or bad comments directed only at them. Brazzer was the site that used to get the worst comments directed at them but I don't see those anymore. If I was the type of person who saw plots where there are none then I would say that people associated with Manwin are the ones posting these comments about bangbros. They are after all probably one of the few companies that Manwin doesn't own and I guess if they can't buy them then they can try to put them out of business. Long live the Brown Coats.

I would agree with you except messmer and BubbaGump are regular PU members and have reported unsavoury business practices. Check out their comments. They are from a few years ago (I just checked the comments are from a year ago), and BB could have cleaned up their act, and it's possible there are some shills trying to blacken their name, but there's an awful lot of mud out there. So pat, would you say that these automatic sign ups don't happen, and that they don't try to trick members? They do have pre checked cross selling for starters, so that's not a good sign. It all depends on how far the trickery goes. PS - just in case you didn't read it here's part of the comment from messmer, one of our most reputable, respected, and liked members. He said "way too easy to do. Just click in the wrong spot and this site will be automatically added, using the credit card information you gave to Bangbros! Tiptoe very carefully through the Bangbros. tulips! PS. Not being careful is probably what happened to whowho (comment below.) P.P.S. I am so disgusted with the underhanded way this company is doing business now that I will let the remaining 27 days lapse without a return visit. No hardship in any case because I subscribed for the non-existent 1080p videos in the first place." Edited on Oct 25, 2013, 06:04pm

I meant to reply to this earlier, must have typed it out and forgot to hit the add reply button. As someone who has used Bang Bros since the days of them going by the name "Ox Pass", I can say the most likely answer for all the varying opinions is that the network has varied greatly over the last 5-8 years. There was the early stages of their network under the Ox Pass name: Positives: Had way more ethnic models than similarly themed networks. At the time, most of their themes were pretty original, like Bang Bus for example. Used Epoch and CCBill for billing. All sites in the network were updating at least once a month, most were updating weekly. Negatives: They had a crazy 500 MB download limit--per day--per site. They also had only average video quality and no zip files for pictures. ` Firmly into the middle era of their network's life was the name transition to Bang Bros. Positives: Had as much content as any network and themes were still fairly fresh and original. Had tripled amount of sites in the network. Price slashes were common in emails, TBP discounts, etc. Download limit was completely removed. Picture sets now had zip files for downloads. Nearly all sites in the network were updating. If a site stopped updating, a new one with a new theme would be added. Still used CCBill and Epoch for billing and prices would range between $9.95-$14.95 per month with those easily had discounts. This was when I didn't think Bang Bros could do wrong. They had the nice mix of model types, races and decent themes for a bargain bin price. I had trouble finding any negatives during this period. A few years ago they came up with this "new" idea to add premium sites like Dancing Bear, Dare Dorm and The CFNM Show. At first, this really irritated me because they did not include these sites with the regular Bang Bros network. You had to join each one separately and they were $24.95 each. To make things worse, they advertised these sites on Bang Bros and if you clicked "view" on one of them they would start your new membership to said site. If that wasn't bad enough these premium sites were stream only, no downloads of videos, so if your curiosity led to you clicking one of the advertised ones, you not only ended up paying the premium price, but also ended up with a site with no downloadable content. Also over the last few years they went away from the premium site idea and started offering packages for the premium sites. If you were a Bang Bros member you could pay $24.95 and receive Dancing Bear, The CFNM Show, College Rules and one other. Each of these had been $24.95 in the past and they started allowing the content to be downloaded. It was a pretty good deal if those premium sites appealed to you, but it was still only a one time join since these sites hardly updated. Lastly, even though they did seem to right their wrong with the premium sites they switched billing companies. This is where they got me. I had joined Bang Bros and paid for one month of the premium sites too. When I went to cancel there was a box for "Bang Bros". I set it to cancel and thought nothing else of it. The next month I had a charge for the premium sites again. When I went back to the billing companies cancellation page there was two "Bang Bros" listed. The only way to have seen this or know it was to realize it was a drop down box with no arrow. On the other side, I did contact the new billing company and they refunded the month they charged for. Even with the refund, I have trouble going back now and joining. I think I was a member 3 times with the new billing company and had to email them each time to either verify cancellation or just for random problems that came up. As you can see, the network has had its ups and downs so I'm sure that has something to do with the varying opinions. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I looked down at my sloppy handful of junk and thought, This is going to make me rich. - Chuck Palahniuk

^ I really dislike having to ASK the billing company for a written confirmation of a cancellation - I just think it adds one more chink into the general distrust of people doing business with the porn industry. So those website owners who frequent our posts, please take this to heart with your billing company. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee. ^I have to say that companies that don't send confirmations make me nervous. If they somehow forget to cancel my membership then it's my word against them and I have no proof that they were supposed to cancel my membership. Long live the Brown Coats.

I've subscribed to BangBros over 10 times within the last few years, and my experience has been predominantly positive. I had one incident where my info was on file and I clicked on the link to see what new content was up and was charged, but that was fixed relatively quickly. Never had a canceling problem either. If anything, to many condom scenes started popping up in the last couple of years and the audio in a handful of the video clips would be out of synch. This was not a norm though, just a few exceptions. One man's art is another man's pornography.

I generally was not fond of their content the last time I joined, they have a very large collection which gives them good stats, but I thought the quality/crap ratio was way too low. I didn't have any billing problems that I recall, but from what I have read on their review page here lately I doubt I will return anytime soon (despite the fact that they have some scenes by some newer models I like). I detest any site, porn or otherwise, that tries to keep my info on file. I don't care about the "convenience" of risking credit card fraud or identity theft just so it takes five fewer minutes to order bullshit online. Out of habit I try to refuse as much as possible the optional claptrap about "your information is safe with us" in order store my credit card number. Hell, the NSA has whistleblowers leaking massive amounts of data, why is a porn site any more secure? Therefore I only trust Nigerian princes who contact me via email! ^The reality is that most sites don't have your data but all CC processor do so whenever you join a site then the CC processor already has all your pertinent info from the last time you did any kind of business with them. They just go through the motions so that they have an out in case the card is stolen and the person using it at that time is not the actual owner. My IP address has not changed in years and neither has my credit card number so I know that CCBill and Epoch both have my info. They have to since they both charged my card in the last few months. I have it set up with my credit card so that they send me an email every time I make a transaction. The only thing is that the transaction has to be $20 or above, as apparently fraud doesn't start below there. The one time I had to deal with fraud on my card was years ago with a nonpornographic online purchase from some stupid fucking clothing store I'd never heard of much less even consider giving one penny of my business. Anyway my CC company sent me a copy of the invoice from the disputed purchase--the shipping address was to some asshole I'd never heard of in a state about a thousand miles from my billing address at the time! I don't think I ever ending up yelling at them on the phone because I was too speechless from trying to comprehend if a business could actually act so goddamn dumb in response to a customer telling them, yes, that indeed was a fraudulent charge. And CC companies wonder why consumers hate them so much! "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual.
