Good post malikstarks, it's hard to disagree with you. At the back of my mind I was remembering all the other sites that have been delisted by TBP/PU for reasons less than this. However it still sits uncomfortably with me to see so many TBU/PU members getting ripped off.

I've posted a couple of times in response to Khan on comments about Bangbros Network but never got a reply; I was wondering why Pornusers still does business with this network when they have scammed so many PU members. The Bangbros Network review page has dozens and dozens of comments complaining that they've been charged for content they don't want, cannot cancel membership, don't get satisfactory responses from support etc, and yet Pornusers doesn't exercise their right 'not to do business' with this site. I know people have a responsibility to check for negative reviews prior to joining sites, but a lot of people don't seek out reviews until they've been ripped off, and in my opinion TBP not only ignoring this overwhelmingly negative feedback, but DIRECTING people to the site means they're at least partially responsible for all these people getting scammed.

Pat's comments echo those of the porn industry in that this was exactly their complaint in that legit results were not even on the first few pages, so what hope do they have? This was the same with the music and film industry and Google have addressed this problem. I didn't link to the BBC article as I'm not sure what the rules are about that here, but it's worth a read. Google's algorithms are extremely complex now, and it uses far more than just click-through rates and site popularity in terms of visits to rank results. That might have been the case 10 years ago, but it certainly isn't nowadays.

Article on BBC News today with Angel White, Tasha Reign and Girlfriends Films all calling for Google to help crack down on piracy as they have done with music and film by serving results for legitimate sites before illegal content. Their complaint is that Google don't view the adult industry as a 'legitimate industry' "The adult industry is run like any other professional industry; we pay taxes, create jobs and contribute to the economy. "How many times a day is the word 'porn' typed into the Google search interface? Mainstream corporations like Google continue to discriminate against the adult industry despite the world being genuinely interested in seeking out pornography." I completely agree with them, and tube sites have completely devastated the industry from what I can tell. I can't even begin to imagine the cost of porn when you factor in paying tallent, web hosting, the photography/videography equipment, travel, sets/rent, plus the time and expense of editing everything, yet the industry is looked down upon and people seem to expect content for free. The industry can be pretty bad in how it looks after members though (you only need to read some of the reviews here) to see how it probably leaves people jaded to the point they no longer want to pay for content, but it's a chicken and egg situation in that I'm not sure whether webmaster's desperation (in a minority of circumstances) to bleed members dry with pre-checked cross-sells and steathily hidden upsells is because of the popularity of tube sites, or whether the popularity of the tube sites is down to people feeling ripped off. I suspect it's a bit of both.

I have a separate email address for subscriptions so that the spam doesn't bother me. When I join a site, I star the email so it stays at the top and I can keep track of active subscriptions. Of course I get a lot of spam (both in the junk folder, and also the inbox), but it doesn't really bother me because I don't use the email address for anything else.

If it was one recurring problem I would probably be more willing to try WD, but it was just problem after problem. I could access files without Mionet, but had no write access. The hard drive is a brick now so I took the HDD out of the enclosure but don't have the cables etc to plug it into my computer to see if it works.

I bought a WD Mybook World Edition and it was honestly one of the worst purchases I have ever made. It was pretty much problem after problem, day after day, both with the hardware and with the Mionet software. 50% of the time Mionet didn't load until I restart. If it does work, the drive is 'offline' so have to reboot drive. Sometimes have to reboot a couple of times just for Mionet to pick up the drive. Often when I reboot it then won't mount. If Mionet goes down for maintenance, you can't access your own drive. The drive also often overheated, made a clicking noise and needed rebooting, and then after a few years it just died all together. The thing that amazed me was just how many problems there were - I lost count of how many different error messages and dodgy things the drive did. I'll never buy WD again.

The new site looks really slick. Will get my teeth into it over the next day-or-so and will let you know my full thoughts. I hope everyone gets behind it, moves their reviews across, like/comment on member's profiles etc so that we can hit the ground running. Good to have you back, CT

With the new layout I can see why you can't just copy them over, but maybe there could be a 'review wizard' whereby you can link your new and old accounts, say which review you want to copy across, then it does most of the work (pros/cons) but still allows you to tidy up the review, make changes and populate the new parts of the review.

I love kissing in porn scenes. It's one of the reasons I enjoy Ivana Fukalot because a lot of her scenes have her kissing or embracing, particularly at the beginning or the end of the scene. For me it's all part of the tease and gives a bit more depth to a scene that would otherwise 'just' be sex. Admittedly in the middle of a scene is pretty annoying though.

Probably Raven Riley at the moment for me. She's a relatively new discovery for me, so I might be biased and enjoying a 'honeymoon period' but she's pretty, natural, charismatic and a great performer. Ann Angel used to be my favourite, then Tasha from Tasha's Temptations (now defunct), and then Karla Spice. Also rate Chica pretty high.

I think for all the talk in this thread of loyalty and community, it's a shame to see so many people here dismissive of change and making their goodbye speeches. Yeah, it's annoying stuff can't just be copied into the new template, but it's like a leaking dam - there's only so many times you can plug the holes before it just makes more sense to knock it down and start again.

I think sites will begin offering more tiered-style membership, almost 'pay as you go' whereby you can tailor what you see, but it will inevitably be at your cost. The user thinks they're getting extra, but they're just paying more for what they've always had. It's all about the upsell. I think this will be an extension of things like exclusive zipsets etc, and it wouldn't surprise me if sites introduce more options like ability to download, access to extra/bonus sets etc for extra money. I'm almost reticent about posting this because it probably gives webmasters bad ideas. I would not be happy with this, and already see it happening to a certain extent at sites like Pattycake where she's willing to do hotter stuff, but even as a member you have to pay extra for her zipsets. I also think you'll get more things like Evil Angel not allowing downloads of newer content etc, trying to keep you a member for as long as possible. Same with Pattycake's site where updates are split across several months, limited time updates etc.

Maybe on the new site, on each review there needs to be a link to the corresponding review on PU? Hopefully existing members here can also help by making sure any reviews and/or comments that are still relevant are copied and pasted onto the new site? I will definitely do my part in making sure this is done with my reviews. Honestly, I can see both sides of the argument here - the site needs to move with the times, and I guess that goes for as much behind the scenes as the look and what features there are. But I can also see how some people would be sad to see such a comprehensive resource get mothballed.

I have to admit I'm a bit surprised to see people doing their goodbye speeches already. At least give it a chance! I'm cautiously optimistic, but it would be nice to see newer reviews get imported. The archived ones I don't mind so much about, but yeah, I'm not sure it's really a statement of intent to relaunch the site without any reviews. Aesthetically the black background looks really slick, but practically it's not ideal. But other than that, it looks good, and I'd love to know what the new features are. Notifications for favourited sites would be a huge plus in my opinion. Don't take criticism personally Rick. Just look at Facebook; everyone moans when they make changes there, but eventually people realise it's for the better. Hopefully members here will be supportive of changes, but likewise, hopefully you can take contributors' comments on board as much as you can.

In the spirit of Porn Users... PROS: It looks very sleek, and the layout seems to be at least familiar with the usual pros, cons etc CONS: The black background looks nice, but it's not hugely practical on such a text-heavy site. Also, I wonder if it's almost too much? I don't think PU is broken to the point you need to start again. I just think it needs tidying up, a few features adding and making it a bit slicker. BOTTOM LINE: I think the important thing is that it shouldn't be style over function. I'm not sure how I feel about losing all my reviews, comments, posts on the forum etc, and I'm not the most frequent user of PU. I would hate to see these changes alienate people and for activity to drop off even more. But it's an exciting time, and you're absolutely right that PU needs a bit of a shake up. It definitely looks more modern and slick, but of course the important stuff is the content and contributors. Quick questions: Will reviews and comments be copied over onto the new site? So, in theory I can at least have the same username for continuity. Also, one feature I would love is for notifications when new reviews, comments etc are added to a site I have favourited.

I'm from the UK. Cameron has taken leave of his senses in my opinion. IMHO this is the thin end of the wedge and you have to wonder what other things they'll decide to censor. Who is going to decide what is and what is not porn? Presumably they'll get a list of who has opted in - will these people be considered as 'not trustworthy' or 'dodgy'? I'm not someone who is paranoid about big brother watching me. I don't mind CCTV, I don't even care if someone bugged my calls, but this really troubles me.

This reminds me of Flight of the Conchords - "I heard of someone, they cut a whole person's body off - they just left the dick behind" "Don't you mean they cut off his dick?" "No, I mean they held his dick and cut his whole body off. That's all he was in the end... a dick."

Like most physical aspects I don't have set parameters - I'm open-minded with things ranging from weight, to boob size, to hair colour to height. I think anyone between 5' and 6' is perfect, but even taller and shorter than this is absolutely fine too. I think probably the shortest model I like is Lupe (who is a tiny 4'9" apparently), and the tallest is Karla Spice who is 5'8" - I don't know of any taller. I'm a pretty average 5'11" if that makes any difference! I have no problem with girls being taller than me (my ex was 5'8" but lived in heels, so was effectively 6ft anyway!

I think it's undeniable it's quietened down since the raffle ended. I know everywhere porn-related is quieter, but it's undeniable there's been even more of a drop-off in the last month-or-so. For example, I can't remember the last time my reviews or comments got any replies from PU users. It doesn't encourage me to make the effort to review any sites. To address a few points made in this thread, to me there's been no increase in quality of reviews - if anything, the quality has declined. And I'm a little dismayed people here aren't really fussed about the reviews. If it wasn't for the reviews here, I would never have joined and certainly wouldn't have continued to contribute. Porn sites seem to be worse than ever, so if this aspect of the site dwindles and I can't read about the pros/cons of a site before I join, it will be a sad day and the site will lose a lot of it's value IMHO. So yeah, this isn't me panicking, but likewise, I'm not sticking my head in the sand and pretending there isn't a problem. In the meantime, I am 'sticking around', but I'm not particularly inclined to take the time to contribute much.

I might do a shortish review soon, but I added a comment that kinda summarised my thoughts - basically I really liked it, but it didn't 'click' with me somehow. I think I've warmed to it a bit since I left that comment, although not as many updates as I'd expect from a network site.

I wouldn't say I'm panicking. I know there hasn't always been a raffle, but the porn market was a bit more buoyant back then. And regarding "So what if there aren't reviews coming one after another" - reviews are the main reason I visit I'm not going to leave, but I'm less inclined to review sites if I'm not convinced as many people are reading/will comment - that's all

Ah no! We'll miss you! I must admit I was going to write a review for Throated, but like you say, it seems to have really quietened down, particularly since the raffle went - I don't really want to spend the time writing a review only for it to be ignored. My comment there didn't get any response so I figured a review wouldn't. I understand why the raffle went, honestly I do, but PU really needed to introduce a new incentive straight away while there was still the momentum. I fear the damage may be done, and although a new look might work, I suspect it might be too late? I know the porn world is in bit of a state at the moment, but I've only been a member here for a few months, and the drop in activity over the last few weeks has been undeniable.

Honestly, it was to complain about a couple of sites I'd been a member of recently where I felt I got a bad deal. I felt they should be held to account so I reviewed them accordingly. My reviews were fair, but admittedly vague. A member here rated me negatively and suggested I was only on PU to get raffle tickets. So I kind of stuck around to prove him wrong, improve my reviews (I think all of them have been updated/rewritten) and enjoy the new perspective reviewing gives me when I'm a member of these sites. The only thing I struggle with is how bad a lot of sites I join are, and how many no longer update - it's almost like I'm running out of sites to review.

Do any of the poor-quality reviewers take part in the raffle? I was accused once of only reviewing to get tickets for the raffle, but that wasn't the case - it was just that I was new and my reviews were crap I've never taken part in the raffle, so I won't miss it. I hope TBP and PU can continue in spite of the fact they need to save money.

Yeah, I do agree, but I'm not sure how much more concise I could have made my Bella Pass review as I only wrote a paragraph on each model, plus the technical specs, plus a paragraph or two on the network. I've never really had a problem reviewing solo sites within the limit, but really struggled with Bella Pass.

Thank you Khan. I think my Bella Network review has been the first I have REALLY struggled with. Maybe the network sites could have a more generous character limit than solo ones as there's the possibility of having more to write? Thanks messmer for the feedback on the review And thanks RagingBuddhist for reply #7, made me laugh out loud Seriously, though, I do agree that it forces users to weed out some of the chaff, and I do normally find it quite easy, but with Bella Network I really struggled. Maybe another suggestion would be for a separate box on technical specs (video size, number of photos/galleries etc) and then the bottom line? Just an idea.

Ah thanks, I might do that in future. It was the bottom line that was overrunning. First it was over the character limit, then it was too many lines. Hope one day they'll consider increasing the character limit, as I like to try and include both technical details and opinions, which 5000 characters doesn't always allow me to do.

Does anyone else struggle with the character count on reviews? I'm currently writing a review and have been trying to edit it down for about 20 minutes now to fit into the allowed character limit. It's getting vaguer and vaguer, particularly as it's a review of an entire network.

Generally solo (eg masturbation), but mainly because most models seem to just go through the motions - there are exceptions. Ivana Fukalot, for example, makes masturbation look so sexy - never really cared for it until I saw her. Anal leaves me cold. I just don't like it at all.

I would like to NOT recommend Western Digital. I have a 1TB MyBook World Edition and it is a terrible piece of kit. The biggest problem is Mionet - I have never used such an abortion of a program. 50% of the time the program won't load until I restart. If it does work, the drive is 'offline' so have to reboot drive. Sometimes have to reboot a couple of times just for Mionet to pick up the drive. Often when I reboot it then won't mount. If Mionet is down so I can't even save stuff onto my own harddrive because you HAVE to use Mionet - otherwise you can only browse the drive, and you don't have read/write permissions. Also when you're browsing the drive, often it/Windows Explorer will lock up, it'll sit there chugging then it'll say it's offline. Looking at the WD support forums this just seems to be a 'feature' of the drive.

Thank you for the welcome Yeah, I'm borderline 'never' too - I think what sways it either way is how good the rest of the content is. If it's mainly a photo website with a few videos, I can deal with it, but the other way round? Honestly, I would probably never join again. Good question Ed2009 about what anti-piracy measures. I think REASONABLE download limits are OK. Stopping members downloading more than one video at a time I think is OK. I guess those are easy for me to say because I'm not a huge downloader or collector and don't download literally every video etc.

Kudos to Tia Ling who now allows downloads on her website. No kudos to Anna Angel who does not allow you to download videos or even photos. Photos are sliced into mosaics so if you dare right-click-save an image, you get just a 100px square of the part of the image you right-clicked on. I would rarely join a website where you can't save videos. I would never join a website where you can't download pictures. I know pirates force webmaster's to take measures against piracy, but if it puts genuine members off joining, then surely it just makes matters worse.
