Mine didn't freeze but it acted all clunky. I would right click on a page to bring up my context menu, the box would come up, but nothing else, no words. Then Firefox would give me the dreaded, "Not Responding" message and right as I would go to close it, it would start responding again. I've had nothing but good experiences with Vista so far, had it since January 2008 and it runs fast for me, much faster than my XP machines did. Who knows what Bill Gates was up to. I still think Viv Thomas does lesbian sex as good as anyone does. His, "Art of Kissing" scenes are easily some of the best on the internet. Agree with justme, Audacity is a very good free music editing software. Just be sure to also get the LAME encoder for it. Without it, the software wants to export/save the songs you edit as wav files instead of mp3 files. Wavs are much larger and will eat up your mp3 player space. It's simple to use, the LAME encoder only takes one click to add its functionality. Cutting part of the songs out is probably easier in audacity that even the paid software. It's a simple copy and cut move similar to videobox's video editing feature. You can also use audacity to remaster/turn the volume up/turn the peaks up. I had used Sony's Sony Forge for years $300 a year for the new version, before finding Audacity. If you're serious about Classical music check out the site, www.emusic.com, it isn't free, but it's cheaper than itunes and amazon music. They don't have the selection those sites have, but they do have a nice free trial that works. The one that shows on their site is 25 credits/songs. After the trial period it is something like 40 credits for $15. Pat, I didn't compare Brazzers to VB. I said Brazzers is like a DVD site; Videobox just happened to be the one that came to mind. Brazzers pictures are not high quality just like DVD sites that have pictures aren't high quality. Brazzers has standard 640x480 videos just like DVD sites have 640x480 videos. GCode, Brazzers has some frustrating cancel screens that bring a lot of the hate towards them. The last time I was on it, I clicked cancel. A screen said, "Are you sure? You're going to make the biggest mistake of your life". Each of these messages offers you a lower price to stay. The second one said, "Ok, so you want to cancel, why don't you just say you don't like looking at beautiful women?" I found the screen to be a bit humorous. Others I have talked to say they felt offended by it. If I remember correctly, there were four of these screens before I actually could cancel. You have to go into Brazzers with an understanding of what you're getting. It is listed as a network, acts like a network, but it is really just a DVD site like Videobox. They have pictures, but the sizes are tiny and the pictures are often just screenshots taken directly from the video. Which any of us could do by using VLC media player and using its "screenshot" function. I think another reason for such a broad range of scores is that they use mostly very familiar pornstars. That is a plus for some people, a big minus for others. Another reason, lots of implants and tattoos. None of these things really bother me, but they are often make or break points for others. My problem with this site was simple. They stopped updating my two favorite sites on the network, Asses in Public and HQ Honeys. I've been eating crow for over a month over USC losing to Oregon. Funny thing is, I still don't think Oregon is that good. I see a team that gets way too many breaks. The basics of the no playoff argument have to do with the pressure it would put on the student-athletes and on the schools as well. I remember when I first started playing college ball for Ole Miss, it was 2,000 miles from home. I missed mom, my friends, December was the first chance to go home to see them. If there was a playoff, it would take that winter vacation away from the players on the teams in the playoffs. That's kind of a reverse situation where the NCAA says student-athletes can't be paid to play because it would give them an advantage over the regular students. A playoffs would give the regular students an advantage over the student-athletes. Another thing that goes completely unmentioned is that the schools in the playoffs would have to keep staff working. There would need to be cafeteria workers working everyday to cook for the players who are getting ready for that week's playoff games. It would cause a scheduling problem that would make the schools schedule employees tentatively in the chance their school won in the playoffs. This is about 15% of the things against a playoff. At the office I worked at from 2005-07 we used a software called Anonymizer. Seems like it was $25 a year per computer. It was used because of the California Psychology Protection Act. It would send your posts through their server at Anonymizer so your IP (location) would be different than what it really was so hackers couldn't target our computers. There was another one too, change your IP, that you could see where you were listed as being from, mine would often land in Japan or China. I don't know if that one is still around or not. I do know that I found out Chinese residents can't access many sites that we can in America. A use for the software in the porn world came up when I had been banned from 21st Sextury sites. I used the Anonymizer to access one of their sites and send an email. Before that I couldn't even get the sites to open. It was their security monitors mistake for banning a whole group of IP addresses. I can understand that, but the Teen Dreams bonus content is a pretty large draw. The main point I was making is that not all bonus content is useless. I guess it would depend on the bonus sites and the site you joined to get the bonus sites. Like the 21st Sextury bonus sites. They used to charge $29.95 for say Club Sandy, then they started adding 20 bonus sites for the same $29.95 price. When it is a situation like this, I have no problem with bonus sites. The best two examples though are Teen Dreams and Twistys. Teen Dreams price stayed the same, but they added the Viv Thomas bonus content. That's a major bonus. There are a few more that are on the verge of retirement. Aneta Keys had been inactive until a recent set on 1byday. Sophie's site had sent thoughts and prayers to Aneta last year because of a bad car accident. Aneta really never fit the mold of model anyway. Another reason that could be part of the problem is that teen guys are not exactly known for being able to last for more than 5-10 minutes before finishing. Kind of funny, I had wanted to go into psychology before college, but I was at that time, more interested in football. My strongest subject is by far anything to do with math. I took one of those career placement tests and the first 3 suggestions were in the business field. There also could have been some sentimental reasons since my late brother had planned to go to college for Business. I spent a good part of my life from 15-20 trying to do things he didn't get a chance to do. The realization of that and the fact that I was doing good in my grades at Ole Miss, led me to double major with psychology being one that I never believed would be anything more than me trying to understand some things about myself and life in general. I'm still considering other possibilities right now for a career. Over the last week, I've been able to get in touch with a Floridian Psychologist and he is, for now, seeing the patients that I had planned to pick up when/if we move to Florida. The other option is one that I've explored a bit and am right now in a way. My old high school's defensive coordinator in football was wanting a season off without losing his job. So, I've been voluntarily standing in on Friday nights. It's a much more fun job than being a psychologist! Very rewarding job too even without pay, but it will open up more chances for me. I'm trying to make life like a porn site, many choices to choose from! I am writing a new(er) blog too, though not so much about sports in general like my old one was. This one is a blend of sports with layman level psychology. My business side shows since I've been able to secure advertising from Under Armour that pays quite nice, especially if I keep Nike and Adidas ads off of it. I'm sort of playing the jack of all trades role right now. The blog is allowing me an outlet to advertise a book that is coming out in January, it is in the same vein as Friday Night Lights, called Santa Ana Winds and is about the blood-boiling football rivalries in Orange County, the pain, the glory. Though I don't write any of it, it has a chapter about my late brother and I in it so that will be royalties and if the early pre-orders are any indication it will eventually be made into a movie. Throw in the ties with Under Armour that date back several years and another appearance in one of their commercials. My mom says I could be unemployed officially and make more money than when I was employed. I don't know if I can link to it here, but if it is okay, I would be glad to. It has nothing about porn on it and could be an interesting read for those that like sports. Oh and it isn't a per click or view for profit blog. I believe the losses did help lead to me going into psychology, but there was more than these as far as what would be looked at as traumatic events. We had an incredibly intelligent young woman in South Central. She had came there from her much more sheltered life in Hartford, Connecticut and would try to help those in South Central with losses. Spoke to a group from around the neighborhood I grew up in last week and they estimated between 45-50 teenagers killed or maimed this year in a 6 block area, so there was always a problem like that and it still exists. Anyway, she came to our neighborhood as a social worker/counselor back in about 1989. I was 15 or so. She was one of the best spoken people I had ever met. She helped a lot of us "look to tomorrow not to yesterday" and she probably was the person that sparked my interest in psychology. She really wasn't that successful with the South Central residents since they often said, "What does that little white-bred rich girl know about pain and suffering?" They couldn't use that on me. With all due respect, please don't analyze something I do or say based on me doing it many times. It is the least combative way for me to post when there is a misunderstanding, meaning I will put the blame on myself to avoid an argument. How would it go over if I said, "The problem isn't the length of my posts, it is your lack of an attention span or your inability to comprehend plain English"? That would be me poking the other person, not just on this site, but other places I post as well. Also add that we have new members that may or may not know about the multilingual members. I do appreciate the view that you bring on this subject, but with Dyslexia being a fairly broad, multi-field study, it should be noted that there is a known verb tense problem with Italian speakers with irregular verbs. A couple of different Psychiatry books cover it, the books, International Society of Brain and Behaviour based out of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and the Annals of General Psychiatry 2006 edition. The studies show that it is common for Italian speakers learning English to show a clear problem with irregular verbs. The belief is that since Italian speakers are often phonically impaired in English, this manifests into a deficiency in morphological processing. I first read about it in the study "Language Deficits in Dyslexic Children: speech perception, phonology and morphology." from the book, "Journal of Experimental Child Psychology". The study went on to show 3 different age groups of (5-8), (9-12) and (24-27) all had problems with irregular verbs, saw, see and seen being the biggest problem of a group of 50 irregular verbs. Each of the people used in this particular study had been diagnosed as dyslexics and were at least bilingual in Italian and English. Of note, the study also shows Greek and German dyslexics having a similar problem. The thing is, I don't think others have been too hard on me. I think others sell themselves short and don't notice that they are more taking a shot at themselves than me, when they come into discussions based on descriptive thoughts and then lose interest halfway through the post. It's the New York minute mentality. They would prefer to read two lines of something and get the fast response than to read twenty lines and maybe learn something. It is that need for instant gratification and in many ways, an arrogance to believe they can fully understand something just by a few lines of text. The burnout most likely is of many things. I haven't been on a real non-work vacation in nearly 10 years. The losses started when my brother was murdered at 17, dad suffered a grief induced massive heart attack a few weeks later and grandpa was sick anyway from Diabetes. It had at least one positive impact as it caused me to become close with my mom in a family that was once 4 males, 1 female. I was browsing around PU after checking out some of the newest updated Eve Angel pictures. I suddenly saw something very strange to me. The one positive about moving to Florida is that I am familiar with the area. My wife and I have spent 3 months or so out of each of the last 4-5 years down there. If she had her way, I wouldn't go near a gang ever again. Agree about the answers being found within, but it was much easier when there was someone to talk to about those things. I'm pretty well adjusted to not having a father figure, we lost dad, older brother and grandfather when I was 14, so I had to grow up pretty fast in that sense. Still, you know, it is much better when you can go to someone older and wiser. My wife's too emotional! You can tell you're not married! I figure my writing or typing ability is more a product of education than anything else. The misuse of words is most likely attributed to dyslexia. The 1.5 Generation, I thought they were immigrants? My parents were both born in the States too. They just preferred Spanish and Italian that their parents spoke over English. Mom said they also thought it would give me and my brother an advantage to be tri-lingual. I'm not for sure why you say that I'm being too sensitive or self-conscious about my English. I've always been long-winded in posts, which is why I do blog, and it was attributed to me being raised with different languages than English. I can't see how me explaining that would show self-consciousness. On the sensitivity part, I can't count the number of times I've been through pointless arguments on here or called names or had my job challenged. And I'm still here. Most of those that started the arguments, challenged my job, are not still here. Again, this all goes back to my original post in this thread, I was explaining that I had taken a little time away from the site. The death of a friend started it, then the pointless arguments started again and I didn't feel like wasting anymore time doing it which showed where I had been. Check my recent replies out and you'll see some of the pointless arguments like this guy that is posting and challenging anyone that has anything less than perfect to say about Nubiles. I don't mean any of this rudely. I just think some of it may have gotten lost from the original post to here. Oh and on the standard American English part, watch how some of my sentences take on a Spanish order. I usually catch those and correct them, but more than a few times, I will start the sentence with the action/verb and finish it with the noun/object. I have a strange experience with languages. I was born and raised in the States, but my dad spoke Italian, he spoke English too, but when at home, it was Italian. Mom spoke Spanish at home to me and my brother. By the time we entered kindergarten we could speak Spanish and Italian fluently, but were far behind in English. My grandfather always joked that he told them they needed to speak English around us more. The good thing is that I of course had English all through school, the bad thing, it didn't feel right since we weren't used to speaking it at home. On a funny note, my mom speaks English all the time now and usually only speaks Spanish when mad. I appreciate the part about insightful. I try to critique my own reviews and posts to add more, subtract some, to make them as helpful as possible. I'm sure that once we move everything will be much better. I'm still looking for those lusty grandma sites! The place where most people say they notice my trouble with English is in the tense words, like is/are and saw/seen, I've studied too much conjugation to remember them all! I should have said earlier that probably part of my long posts could be explained by me liking more details when reading posts by others. I will still be around, maybe moderating myself at times to avoid too many sticky situations. The psychologist who is taking my Californian patients believes I have a much deeper issue going on. I'm very much native to Southern California, as much as I hate the gangs, the street wars, I love being around the people. Working with gangs, having those kids come to me several years after speaking with them and hearing they have changed their life. I won't have that when we go to Florida. Even if I worked with their gangs, I wouldn't have the street cred I receive in LA. We have a little documentary about the LA gangs that made me see a much different side of the gangs. In all of my life, I've never felt physically threatened by anyone, but even so, the gangs went out of their way to protect me. We have a couple of those clips up on youtube and have received over a million views on them. And I guess watching one part in particular, as a little kid, 14 years old, a patient by court order, tries his best to get my attention throughout the clip. He is showing me their guns, says my real name 3 times, which he wasn't supposed to do. I guess that does cause some problems inside me knowing I'm leaving. For him, not a problem, we got him moved to Virginia with his grandmother and he is about to start college, but there are a million more like him in LA. This post may have made me realize some of the problem. It isn't the lack of thick skin. Even to this day, I'm a moderator on two sports forums, and a fan of USC in college football. I get cussed on a daily basis ha ha! What I came up with was that maybe I'm running into burn-out. I joined my first forum in 1996, that's longer than I've been married and have debated online about everything from sports to religion to porn. So, I may just be becoming bored with the whole debating subject. Where it would bother me is that I should know better. In a way, I think I've just become so accustomed to bringing the debate, that it has become an online second nature for me. It doesn't help that I'm Mr. Positive in a world of mostly negative people. It doesn't help on here that I'm first in points and Mr. Positive too. I used to joke in college, which was in the southern United States, that there was a bullseye on me for every drunk redneck to take a shot at. I could go in a bar or club and it never failed, some little drunk guy would walk up and try to start a fight to prove himself to his friends. Online, it seems that people want to prove themselves too. I'm not complaining about PU though. It is a whole internet issue for me in my life. Which does make think burn-out could be the case. I also appreciate the kind words about the loss. Probably the biggest problem that I have personally from loss is that I always had my grandfather to look to, a dangerous physical man, but a wonderfully peaceful, spiritual, soft-spoken man to me. He always helped with loss, now, every loss reminds me that I've lost him too. The closest I have now to someone I can confide in, in those situations is my father-in-law, but he lives in Puerto Rico. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I appreciate the post badandy. Negativity is somewhere I don't ever see myself. I do often joke in speaking engagements about how hard it can be being a positive person. Many believe positive people are naive or even weak, afraid to stand up for themselves. In my case, I've seen what I would call overwhelming negativity in my younger years and the fear of my life turning into the messes I saw would stop me from being negative. The joke is when I ask people how they want to be remembered. Some would be surprised how many people change their outlook on life as soon as they think about their answer for that. My own answer doesn't include the words, intelligent, good debater, never gave up, all I want people to remember is whatever funny thing(s) I had said to them. On the part with bigman, it is cleared up, and more than anything, I think he realized that I am trying to help him. I enjoyed the few reviews he had posted and was trying to coach him along on adding more information. More of this will go into the next reply. What you describe as putting another spin on it, is exactly one of the problems I have! I can't say this enough, I'm positive, positive all the time. But some members don't or won't believe that. Just like a post I made on bigman's review of 1byday. I wasn't trying to correct him. If anything, I was trying to tell him to post a warning comment. His first reply back to me, he was a bit miffed. Then after re-reading what I said, he replied back and said he realized he had misunderstood what I said. It is that middle miffed post that I don't care for and that happens way too often. Reminds me of the Oregon player that punched a Boise State player last night. If he had just thought for a second, it wouldn't have happened. Same thing with the members. Of my near 3 years here, I can say that I said one thing that was negative and it was when I said something about implants and how I thought the members were being non-productive to the growth of the site since few women would want to join. I was 50% wrong there, it was a time I shouldn't have said anything. The other times are what we always called "Getting post-sniped" on the sports forum. This is where someone nitpicks one point a person makes and turns a molehill into a mountain out of it. I would say this has happened more than 10 times. I've been told my no less than 3 members that I'm addicted to porn and that a psychologist should know the signs. You see what I mean? I know my posts are often wordy, but in case you don't know, English isn't my first language. Sometimes, I have to be more wordy or I won't make my point at all! Last on that part, just recently, a member came back that I had one of those pointless debates with 4 months ago and tried to start arguing again. He was one of the ones that I felt like slipped the real reason behind the post-sniping and anger, when he said something about I think because I'm #1 in points that I'm the only one allowed to be a dick. That was after calling me a bastard as well.
I appreciate the kind words. The hardest part of the loss for me is that he was my mentor. The only things left to do at this point is to find a house in Florida. In the meantime, my wife and I are flying there on Tuesdays and staying until Thursday night to cover everything. I will still be around even with the post-sniping, but was mainly replying to the question of where everyone is at. I'm almost always going to have my arguments, it seems to come with the territory of being a positive person. Others, I think, like to see if they can break the positivity. As someone that has watched more Eve videos than Eve probably knows she has made, I can say that is one of my favorites just because she doesn't care. Just a thought, from my own experience, not in porn, the girls that gagged were always inexperienced at giving oral sex. Could that be part of it? Another way to promote innocence? I haven't been posting as much for a couple of reasons. One, and the biggest one, my psychology partner/colleague from Florida, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Him, his wife and kids would come out to California a few months each year and he would counsel my patients to give them a different perspective. My wife and I would go to Florida during those months and I would counsel his patients. He was 45, in the prime of his life, perfect health, but he, like many psychologists wouldn't go to a doctor for check-ups. About a month ago, he had trouble urinating and finally went to a doctor. He had prostate cancer and it had spread. He died two weeks later. I've been flying back and forth trying to cover his patients and mine and to help his wife and kids. Some relief finally came as another Californian psychologist accepted my patients and now it looks like I'm going to be moving permanently to Florida with my mom and wife to take over my friend's practice. Just a friendly reminder guys, don't skip the prostate exam. This guy was a former collegiate track and field runner, still ran 10-12 miles a day and no one would have guessed that he was even sick, let alone dying. The other reason is that I still don't believe most of my posts are taken as I mean them and because of that, I end up in way too many pointless debates. My own stupid pride doesn't like walking away from debates, no matter how pointless though. As I've told before, from sports blogging to sports forum posting, a lot of what I say seems to have a lightning rod tied to it. I wouldn't insult others by saying why I believe that is, but it turns into a situation where I kind of feel like, "What's the point of saying this? It will just turn into an argument". To show that even more, I had posted a half-dozen or so college football blogs recently, my first in nearly a year and within 5 entries, I had an offer to be a featured blogger because of the commotion those entries caused and we all know the media world today is all about commotion. The sad, maybe funny thing is that I don't try to be controversial. And the last reason, would be that I haven't had as much time to try out any new sites lately, though I have that Teen Models on my to join list and will as soon as life settles down again.
