A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for Christianity. No longer will we have to allow porn perverts to invade our living spaces. Down with porn! Down with perverts! Not a joke. Is this Donald Trump fighting to get revenge for his porn star hush money conviction? Or just a power grab by the far right? ----- ----- Project 2025: Radical Plans to Crush the Adult Entertainment Industry! Published Jun 7, 2024 Washington D.C. – The American adult entertainment industry is facing a seismic shift if the republicans win the election! Project 2025, the ambitious initiative from the Heritage Foundation, aims to completely criminalise pornography if the Republican Party wins the 2024 presidential election. What does this mean for the industry and its millions of consumers? Pornography Under Siege Project 2025 seeks to strip pornography of its protection under the First Amendment. Instead, it will be classified as a form of sexual exploitation and moral deviation. This move would make the production, distribution, and consumption of pornographic content illegal. Criminal Prosecution Looms Producers and distributors of pornographic content could face criminal prosecution. Major studios, well-known websites, and independent producers alike could be targeted with raids, shutdowns, and severe penalties. The justice system is set to crack down on the industry with newfound vigor. Websites and Platforms in the Crosshairs Websites hosting or distributing pornography are at risk. They could be forced to shut down, and internet service providers might be required to block access to such sites. This crackdown would probably not change much for the rest of the world and Americans would continue access this content through VPN in other countries. However, it will erase the adult entertainment industry in the US and therefore eliminate a billion dollar economy. Massive Financial Losses The economic fallout would be devastating. The adult entertainment industry, which generates billions annually, could be nearly wiped out by these new laws. Thousands of US jobs – from performers to producers to technicians – are on the line. Financial losses could reach into the billions. Driving the Industry Underground If pornography is criminalized, production and distribution could move underground. This shift would lead to unsafe working conditions, exploitation, and a rise in illegal activities as the industry is driven into the shadows. Personal Freedom at Risk Consumers of pornography would also be affected. Those who continue to consume such content could face criminal charges. This represents a significant intrusion into citizens' private lives and would severely restrict personal freedom. International Backlash and Legal Challenges These draconian measures could draw severe international criticism and lead to numerous legal challenges. Human rights organizations and other countries might condemn the U.S. for its restrictive measures, potentially leading to international legal battles. CONCLUSION: Project 2025 could shake the adult entertainment industry in the U.S. to its core. The radical plans to criminalize pornography would not only have economic consequences but also profound impacts on personal freedom. The upcoming elections will determine if these drastic ideas become reality – and what that means for the future of the adult entertainment industry. The tension is mounting! There are a lot of sites offering discounted membership prices for the 4th of July holiday. Too many to list. But Nubiles Porn is among those sites. $84 for a 1 year membership. Or $500 for a lifetime membership, if you're a big fan of the network. (That gives you access to the Nubiles Porn network, but doesn't include the Nubile Films sites, which is a separate membership.)

Adult film star Sophia Leone dead at 26; fourth industry death in three months By Aditi Srivastava Mar 10, 2024 05:39 AM IST Adult film star Sophia Leone was found dead in her apartment a week ago. The 26-year-old was reportedly found unresponsive when her family tried to connect with her over a call. Following this incident, Mike Romero, stepfather of the deceased, released information about it on GoFundMe where Memorial funds will be raised. The case is currently under investigation; however, this has definitely sparked some debate online as more and more adult stars' deaths have come to light in the previous few months. Last week Sophia who hails from Miami was seen active on her social media platforms where she uploaded few posts. The news came out barely two days after adult star Emily Willis, who was taken to the hospital on February 5, revealed that she has been struggling for her life while on a ventilator. "On behalf of her Mother & Family, It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of our beloved Sophia’s Passing. The Sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and friends devastated and in shock." Sophie’s stepfather confirmed her passing on the funding page. "Sophia was found unresponsive in her apartment on March 1st, 2024, by her family. An investigation by local police into the cause of death is still ongoing," he added. The website described Sophia as “a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend.” Her father also shared that the actress deeply loved animals and “specifically her 3 pets.” “She enjoyed traveling and always found ways to make everyone around her smile," the statement continued. Over the course of three months, netizens have observed a sudden rise in deaths in the adult film industry. Earlier, Kagney Lee committed suicide at just 36 years old. Her case was later handed over for investigation. Before her, in January, Jesse Jane was found dead alongside her boyfriend Brett Hasenmuller in Oklahoma, and so on. The news came to many as a shocker. A person wrote, “First Kagney Linn Karter, now Sophia Leone and very soon Emily Willis.. my search history is slowly becoming a cemetery,” Others chimed in, “First Emily Willis and now Sophia Leone. This is what happens when you speak up and expose the porn industry. They kill you when you speak the truth.” “All these adult film stars are committing suicide, a few weeks ago Kagney Linn Karter committed suicide at the age of 36, Emily Willis overdosed a few weeks ago at the age of 25 and now Sophia Leone. “

Here's a tell-all book about Hugh Hefner. His widow says Hefner was responsible for the poor health she is enduring. Can she sue his estate for damages? And for the broken dreams she has, after thinking that she would make millions of dollars by sleeping with this dirty old man? ------- ------- Crystal Hefner Says Iconic Playboy Mansion Was Moldy, 'Rundown and Gross' and 'Didn’t Really Get Cleaned' People Susan Young January 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM In her memoir, Hugh Hefner's widow blames the mansion for contributing to her failing health. REUTERS/Fred Prouser/Redux The Playboy Mansion in 2011 If Hogwarts decided to wear a sexy Halloween costume, it would be dressed as the Playboy Mansion. At least that’s what Crystal Hefner writes in her memoir Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself about her first encounter with the mythical epicenter of American hedonism. By the time Crystal, then a 21-year-old aspiring model and psychology major at San Diego State University, first crossed the threshold, the mansion was closer to Gothic horror than hip chic, she says. And a little tacky, to tell the truth. Speaking with PEOPLE in this week's issue, the 37-year-old entrepreneur, advocate and widow of Hugh Hefner says she initially was a little bedazzled by the place, but further inspection revealed the flaws both in the man who built an empire on sexual fantasy and the building that embodied the spirit of Playboy. Related: Crystal Hefner Reveals She Was Never 'In Love' with Hugh — and Details Playboy Mansion Life in Book (Exclusive) After that first night that included a walk up to Hefner's bedroom where she ogled photos of famous people hanging with Hef, she took a tour around the mansion and started seeing the cracks. She describes the sunken living rooms with their velvet couches, shag rugs, glass chandeliers and wood-paneled walls. Everything, she writes, looked expensive and a little worn around the edges. “It was like a time capsule from the ‘70s,” writes Crystal. “Like Hef had pushed pause at the height of his heyday and never unfrozen it.” Visitors to the mansion during the Crystal years would have seen the sleazy game rooms — one blue, one red — with boxes of tissues all over the lust pits that looked like a brothel. When asked about it, Crystal recalls the area all too well. “I went in there a lot. I was always afraid to touch too many things in there because it was always open during the parties,” she tells PEOPLE. “I have no idea what happens in there.” Related: Crystal Hefner Says Playboy Hugh Hefner Was Bad at Sex: 'I Was Relieved When It Stopped' (Exclusive) At first, it didn’t seem so bad to be living in a mansion. “This was a beautiful English Tudor home — and my family is from England — on five acres in the middle of LA,” Crystal says. “But over time, I saw that this place doesn’t really get cleaned that well and there’s mold. It just felt rundown and gross after a while.” Then there was the zoo where people could see exotic creatures. It was filled with monkeys in cages and peacocks wandering the grounds. From her room, Crystal says the noise they made were like cats dying or women screaming. “Even with the window shut, I could hear their plaintive voices in my mind. 'Help, help,’ they cawed and wailed," she writes in her memoir. “At least that’s what it sounded like to me.” For more on Crystal Henfer, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday, or subscribe here. Hefner even kept a birdcage in his bathroom that always held two lovebirds. Just not the same lovebirds because they kept dying and being replaced. “It was all an illusion,” she says. “I don’t even know if I was ever happy there, to be honest.” But the ultimate clue that the mansion might actually not be in the best shape was when she started getting sick. After being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2016 and breast implant illness in 2016, her blood work suggested toxic mold exposure from the mansion, according to her memoir. “The whole time the mansion was breaking me down, one way or another,” Crystal writes. “Now it was breaking down my health. The house was literally making me sick.” Related: Crystal Hefner Reveals She Almost Died During Cosmetic Surgery: 'I Lost Half the Blood in My Body' Crystal took charge of trying to get the mansion cleaned up as Hefner agreed to let her organize his intensely cluttered home. “Everything was moldy and dusty and it was just hoarder central in the mansion,” she says. She had come a long way from the young woman who marveled at the artwork and memorabilia she saw when she first entered the mansion. By the end, she knew it was all just a facade. "The original paintings I had been so in awe of my first night—the Picasso, the Jackson Pollock—weren’t actually real," she writes. "The house had been sold and Hef was just allowed to live there for the rest of his life." 2024 Yahoo. All rights reserved.

Thought I would re-list this thread, since it's been so dis-used or forgotten. Angels.love and Sensual.love are 2 sites from the Wow Girls (and Wow Porn and Ultra Films) managers, that are not listed at the PU site. I'm not a member of either site, but they seem to offer the same type of excellent, glossy porn featured at Wow sites, with the same type of attractive teen models.

News flash!!!! Parts of Oregon are voting to secede from their state. Presdent Donald J. Trump has voted to ratify the move, even if it means sending in Federal Troops to allow the seceding counties to leave Oregon. Never before has the U.S.A nation faced such a crisis of confidence. But Trump vows to make sure that all Trumpers (member of the Party to Make America Great Again) will Live Free or spend their blood and lives to fight the Deep State that is trying to bring down our great American country. --- --- Morning In America Oregon counties are voting to secede from their state Joshua Eferighe, Keleigh Beeson, Nichole Berlie Updated: Nov 12, 2022 / 10:53 AM CST (NewsNation) — Call it a cultural gap, partisan divide or the classic red versus blue, but a growing number of Oregonians from the eastern and central part of the state are looking for redder pastures in Idaho. Two counties in Oregon voted to secede from their state and join Idaho this week, in a movement called “Greater Idaho.” “It sends a message to the Oregon legislature that you have a problem in rural Oregon,” Mike McCarter, President, of Citizens for Greater Idaho said during an appearance Friday night on NewsNation’s “Banfield.” “And if you don’t want to deal with the problem, then let us go. We feel closer to those folks that are over in Idaho, and we’re willing. We want to join with them.” “We feel there is a large gap between the rural and urban counties in Oregon, it’s getting broader all the time. This is not a new idea, it’s been talked about for a long time, where people in eastern Oregon have felt closer to the people in Idaho than they have to the people in northwest Oregon,” McCarter said five months ago while speaking on NewsNation’s affiliate KOIN five months ago, Many feel that Idaho is a gem, and it’s the fastest growing state in the U.S. The answer as to why these Oregonians want to move to Idaho without actually moving to Idaho is mostly a financial one: lower taxes, a cheaper cost of living, similar politics and a more conservative lifestyle. Changing the border would need the backing of both state legislatures and Congress. So far, Idaho’s governor hasn’t backed or rejected the idea: “They’re looking at Idaho fondly because of our strong economy, regulatory atmosphere and our values. There’s a lot that needs to happen before moving the border is within the realm of possibility,” Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) said. Nevada Senate race on knife’s edge as majority hangs in the balance Moving state borders isn’t unheard of, but usually done on a smaller scale. In this proposal, 63% of Oregon’s land would become Idaho. Organizers say the recent crime headlines out of Portland is not a reason behind their movement. Rather, it’s the population imbalance that critics argue gives liberal voices in the northwest part of the state too much power over rural areas. “Right now the agenda that comes out of Salem is based on a majority of the population coming out of the valley, and most of rural Oregon’s issues are ignored.” McCarter said. Votes are still being counted, but it looks like the measure has passed in both Morrow and Wheeler counties. While the measure would take nearly two-thirds of Oregon’s land, it would only account for 10% of the state’s population. Secession ideas are not exactly new in the United States. People in Maine and West Virginia know it can happen. The question becomes, should it happen? Herald & News writer Mike Sunnucks also weighed in on “Banfield,” saying that redrawing state lines is not a good idea. “There’s not a lot of interest in any government to give up land, or give up people, voluntarily… Things could change. But this is not in Oregon’s best interest.”

I haven't been active following my porn subs. But Trump2020 pointed out that Adult Time has gone to a streaming-only model. That's for 1 month, 1 year, 2 years, etc. Adult Time hasn't lowered their prices for the streaming-only option, figuring that downloads, which used to be included in the 1 year and 2 year subs, won't be noticed by possible members. Seems like a major disservice to subscribers. I have a current sub to Adult Time, which still has downloading privileges. But they have the right to suspend my downloading privileges, and my only recourse would be to end my membership. I doubt I would be entitled to any refund if they decide to suspend my downloading privileges. I suspect, if there's no blowback from Adult Time members, that other major porn sites will soon follow in the same path.

Jenna Jameson Marries Girlfriend Jessi Lawless: 'I Found the Person I Should Have Always Been With' Marisa Sullivan Updated June 8, 2023 at 1:07 PM The businesswoman and former adult film star tied the knot with the 'Born Lawless' podcast host in Las Vegas on May 23. The actress and former adult film star, 49, wed her girlfriend Jessi Lawless, 40, in an intimate Las Vegas wedding ceremony on May 23. "I found the person that I truly should have always been with," Jameson exclusively tells PEOPLE. "I try to go over in my mind why I ever dated or married men, and it's selfish and bad to say, but I think my driving force were children," the mom of three explains. "And now that I've really found myself, I'm just accepting of everything that I feel inside and don't shove everything down." The newlyweds exchanged vows at Little Church of the West in Nevada, which has special meaning for Jameson, as it's the same place where her parents said "I do." The couple will throw a bigger wedding when the time is right, but for now they "run and gunned it," as Lawless describes. "Very Las Vegas." Jameson, who plans on legally taking her wife's last name, walked down the aisle to "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash in a short white dress with a long veil, pink platforms and pink-dyed hair. "My father walked Jenna down the aisle, since her father passed away," explains Lawless, who wore a black suit for the affair. "I was standing up there waiting for her, and I looked at the back of the church and I saw her standing there. I looked at my dad and said, 'Dad, go walk Jenna down the aisle right now.'" In lieu of an Elvis Presley impersonator, the couple enlisted a Johnny Cash look alike, who married the pair. After the ceremony, the newlyweds toured around Vegas in a neon green Lamborghini that they rented for the day. "We went up to Red Rock [Canyon] and drove through there and took some pictures and we just hung out with our family and had fun," says Lawless. As for how the two complement each other, Jameson, who refers to herself as "Jessi's Girl" on Instagram, says that they are "very different," but make a good team. "I'm kind of balls to the wall and I ride the wave of my emotions," Jameson shares. "I just want what I want. And Jessi is very reserved and she thinks everything through, and so it's a good mesh for sure, because she grounds me and I set a fire under her a**." The pair first connected last year after Jameson discovered the social media personality on TikTok and started commenting on her page. Lawless admits it took her a moment to realize who Jameson was. "I was like, 'Who is this Jenna Can't Lose?'" she recalls of reading the star's social media handle. "It's Jenna fu**ing Jameson. Oh my God." Adds Jameson, "I was crushing on Jessi for a long time because she's quite large on TikTok and I love TikTok. I just scroll at night when I'm trying to calm down, and I just loved her perspective on things, I related to it. So I just started mass commenting her trying to get her attention, and it seemed to have worked." Lawless explains that she had a girlfriend at the time and due to her "moral compass," did not act on any of Jameson's advances, but once the Born Lawless podcast host's previous relationship ended, she responded and the pair began dating in January. And now they've done their first official photo shoot as a married couple for Swimsuit Illustrated. "I knew I would get what I wanted," Jameson chimes in, adding, "She was worth it. But she presented a challenge and I'm very driven when it comes to challenges, so I knew I just had to lie and wait. And she came back around." "I was like, maybe she just wants to have some casual encounters," Lawless says. "But I'm happy that it went to a more serious level, and I've never been so comfortable with anyone." Further expressing her love for the New York Timesbestselling author, Lawless says there is nothing like being in the "inspiring" company of Jameson, which feels like "home." "The very second that I was in her presence, there's something about this woman, there's no words to describe the energy that she has, but the very second that I was in her presence, I was like, 'Oh, fu**. This woman was made for me.' Everything about her felt like home." Lawless continues: "She's probably the strongest human I've ever met in my life." After getting engaged in April, the pair decided they didn't want to wait to say "I do." "I proposed to Jenna two months ago, and I did it in the privacy of our own bedroom," Lawless says. "We were laying in bed and we were just talking, and I had the ring, I'd had the ring for a minute, and I reached over in my bedside table and I pulled it out and walked around to her side of the bed. I got down on one knee and I told her that she was the most incredible woman that I'd ever encountered and I could think of nothing better than for her to be my wife." Adds Jameson, "The future looks incredibly bright and I'm just so excited to be on this adventure with Jessi."

Lindsey Graham, proud American who fights for Democracy and the rights of free people, has been ordered to be arrested by Russian forces. Can this great American stand against the forces of Russian might and help his ally Donald Trump in resisting Russian glamour? Or will Lindsey crumble and be handed over by Trump to Russia, which is led by Trump's bestest buddy Vlad Putin? Enquiring minds want to know. --- Russia issues arrest warrant for Lindsey Graham over Ukraine comments Associated Press Updated May 29, 2023 at 10:47 AM MOSCOW (AP) — Russia's Interior Ministry on Monday issued an arrest warrant for U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham following his comments related to the fighting in Ukraine. In an edited video of his meeting on Friday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that was released by Zelenskyy's office, Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, noted that “the Russians are dying” and described the U.S. military assistance to the country as “the best money we’ve ever spent.” While Graham appeared to have made the remarks in different parts of the conversation, the short video by Ukraine's presidential office put them next to each other, causing outrage in Russia. Russian President Vladiir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented Sunday by saying that “it's hard to imagine a greater shame for the country than having such senators.” The Investigative Committee, the country's top criminal investigation agency, has moved to open a criminal inquiry against Graham, and the Interior Ministry followed up by issuing a warrant for his arrest as indicated Monday by its official record of wanted criminal suspects. Graham is among more than 200 U.S. members of Congress whom Moscow banned last year from entering Russia. Graham commented on Twitter, saying that “to know that my commitment to Ukraine has drawn the ire of Putin’s regime brings me immense joy.” “I will continue to stand with and for Ukraine’s freedom until every Russian soldier is expelled from Ukrainian territory,” he tweeted. “I will wear the arrest warrant issued by Putin’s corrupt and immoral government as a Badge of Honor.” Originally published Mon, May 29, 2023 at 3:14 AM PDT

Rolling Stone Georgia GOP Chair Goes Full Flat-Earth, Says Globes Are Part of a Conspiracy Nikki McCann Ramirez Wed, May 24, 2023 at 10:07 AM PDT Kandiss Taylor, a recently elected GOP District Chair in Georgia, would like to know why Big Globe won’t stop shoving round-Earth propaganda down our throats. In an interview with David Weiss (AKA “Flat Earth Dave”) and Matt Long on her “Jesus, Guns, and Babies” podcast, Taylor and her guests discussed biblical “evidence” that the Earth is actually flat as a pancake. “The people that defend the globe don’t know anything about the globe,” said Weiss. “If they knew a tenth of what Matt and I know about the globe they would be Flat Earthers.” “All the globes, everywhere” Taylor said later in the discussion. “I turn on the TV, there’s globes in the background … Everywhere there’s globes. You see them all the time, it’s constant. My children will be like ‘Mama, globe, globe, globe, globe’ — they’re everywhere.” “That’s what they do, to brainwash,” she added. “For me if it’s not a conspiracy. If it is real, why are you pushing so hard everywhere I go? Every store, you buy a globe, there’s globes everywhere. Every movie, every TV show, news media — why? More and more I’m like, it doesn’t make sense.” Outside of promoting crackpot conspiracies about the Earth’s shape, Taylor is a firm believer that the 2020 election was fraudulently stolen from Donald Trump. Taylor implemented the Trumpian playbook after her own failed 2022 bid for Georgia’s governorship. Despite only winning 3.7 percent of the vote in the Republican primary compared to Gov. Brian Kemp’s 73.7 percent, Taylor refused to concede her election loss, claiming the race had been “rigged.” No such claims were made after her successful run for GOP Chair of Georgia’s 1st District in April.

Money Shot: The Pornhub Story drops Wednesday, March 15 on Netflix. Netflix's 'Money Shot' examines 2020 Pornhub scandal: 'I wanted to tell all sides,' says director "There are voices missing from this story of the largest porn platform — and it's the people whose backs the company profits off of," explains Suzanne Hillinger. Taryn Ryder·Writer, Yahoo Entertainment Tue, March 14, 2023 at 8:14 AM PDT Netflix's Money Shot: The Pornhub Story explores the success and scandal of the world's largest porn website. Director Suzanne Hillinger talks to Yahoo about the new documentary. (Photo: Courtesy of Netflix) When you scroll through Netflix's new releases on Wednesday, there's a title that's sure to catch your eye: Money Shot: The Pornhub Story. The documentary, simply put, looks at the success and scandals of Pornhub, the world's largest porn website. "We knew going into making this film that there was going to be a built-in audience for people who use Pornhub on a regular basis, whether they admit it or not. Or people who are just curious: 'What is a documentary about the porn industry doing on Netflix?'" director Suzanne Hillinger tells Yahoo Entertainment. "I think it felt like a great responsibility to tell a really honest and nuanced story to not continue the oversimplification or sensationalization of porn performers and porn in general — which often happens movies about the industry. We wanted to sort of lure an audience in and then teach them some things." Those "things" are a lot more dense than its title suggests, though. Money Shot begins by examining Pornhub's rise online that coincided with the rise of social media. The porn platform completely changed how adult entertainment is made and distributed, and, for more than a decade, the company thrived despite its typical anti-porn detractors. But in December 2020 the website, a money-making machine with little moderation, faced its first serious blow. Journalist Nicholas Kristof wrote an op-ed for the New York Times accusing Pornhub's parent company, MindGeek, of sex-trafficking and alleged the website featured thousands of child pornography and rape videos. The article, titled "The Children of Pornhub," featured interviews with victims who detailed how Pornhub would not take down non-consensual content they flagged multiple times. And if a video was taken down, an unverified user could just repost it again within hours. The cycle continued. Within days of the publication of the Times article, Visa and Mastercard suspended its credit card services with Pornhub, sending a ripple effect across the platform. Pornhub quickly changed its policies to ban unverified uploads and disabled more than 10 million videos. But when Hillinger read the op-ed two years ago, she was surprised "that only two porn performers were quoted in the piece." "I just thought there are voices missing from this story about the largest porn platform — and it's the people whose backs the company profits off of. So, I really wanted to tell the story of Pornhub, mostly through the lens of people making consensual pornography, because I just felt like it was really missing from the conversation," she adds. Money Shot features interviews with porn stars like Cherie DeVille, Siri Dahl and Gwen Adora, who talk about how they were effected by the scandal and wider-spread implications. Hillinger interviewed porn performers "who had really been financially impacted" by the backlash in 2020, but found it difficult to get lesser-known creators to speak on the record. "The folks really depending on Pornhub to pay rent, to keep a roof over their head, to provide income, to pay for children or education or whatever — they were really financially vulnerable people and it actually felt quite dangerous for them to participate in the film," Hillinger says. "I had conversations with people that they were like, 'I don't think I can control my face in your documentary because I could lose my apartment.'" DeVille and other porn performers believe the war on Pornhub is a façade, and that this is really a war on the legal sex work industry. The documentary touches on how far-right Christian groups are behind some of the anti-sex trafficking campaigns with the purpose of dismantling the porn industry under the guise of "let's save the women and save the children." If they cared about sex-trafficking, the performers say, then these groups should go after tech companies like Facebook and Twitter. However, Money Shot addresses the other side of the argument: Pornhub had a total lack of moderation that led to the website distributing non-consensual material, sometimes of minors. "I always wanted to tell all sides," Hillinger explains, "and let an audience decide for themselves." Hillinger adds, "I think porn is one of the most polarizing topics on earth and people have their own opinions about it, if it's good or bad. They have their own opinions about that as work and I really just wanted to present all angles of the story and let an audience grapple with it, face their own biases and figure out how they feel about the story now having heard it from all sides. Because there's not a clear takeaway and that was always really important for me. There's no narration in the film and that's really intentional because I just didn't wanna have any kind of voice of God being like 'and this is what you should think about the story.' I just wanted everyone to sort of share their own, their own take on it." Hillinger hopes viewers get two main takeaways from the documentary. "That sex work is work and the people who create pornographic content, many of them do it consensually and ethically. They own their material and they come up with their own ideas and they consent. They are doing jobs. They're content makers, much like people who make viral videos on Instagram," she says. "These are their jobs, jobs that they're passionate about, that they love to do, that there is an audience for. The fact that they can support themselves on this work should give so much relevancy and credibility to that." Hillinger also hopes viewers understand "there's so much that needs to be done by platforms that rely on user-generated content to create profit." "Moderation is a complicated thing and you need highly skilled moderators. I think when people say like, 'Oh, you know, the internet is Pandora's box and once you open it like it's the wild, wild west.' Well the internet was created by people and there are smart people who still are writing code and creating software. Surely, there's a much safer world that we can have without censoring free speech," she concludes. "And it's going to be really complicated. I would hope that this is an issue that once people realize it's an internet problem, not a porn problem, it can maybe be taken much more seriously and sort of holistically."

This is terrible. A famous actress has revealed that "TV is not real." The actress is Sarah Michelle Gellar, who rose to fame playing the title character in the TV series: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Does this mean that the valuable life lessons I've learned from watching porn are also not real? My world is crushing me! ------- ------- Yahoo Entertainment Sarah Michelle Gellar Recalls McDonald's Suing Her at Age 5 Over Burger King Commercial Glenn Garner Mon, February 6, 2023 at 6:13 PM PST Sarah Michelle Gellar found herself in the middle of the fast food war at a young age. The Wolf Pack star, 45, recalled landing in legal hot water at 5 years old as she discussed her career with Buzzfeed UK and reminisced about a Burger King commercial she did long before playing Buffy Summers. "This is really funny. This was this big campaign that I did for Burger King and I was 5," Gellar recounted. "And I was the first person to say another competitor's name in a job, and so McDonald's turned around and sued the advertising agency, Burger King and me at 5." A spokesperson for McDonald's did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. "But what I really remember was I didn't eat a lot of fast food at the time, and when we were there, I just wanted a burger," she continued. "I was so excited because my mom said that I could have the burger. "And what I learned on that day is that when they make the burgers for commercials, they glue each seed on it to make it look all perfect and beautiful, and then they shellac it, and they paint it. You guys, TV is not real," said Gellar. Although she said "banned is a strong word," Gellar previously noted in a 2004 interview with Sunday Express that she "wasn't allowed to eat" at McDonald's during the lawsuit. "It was tough because, when you're a little kid, McDonald's is where all your friends have their birthday parties, so I missed out on a lot of apple pies," Gellar said told the outlet. Gellar later made her breakout performance in the starring role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003, the first five on The WB and the last two on UPN. She spoke about the finale's 20th anniversary during an appearance last month on The Graham Norton Show. "People love to remind me that it [has been] 20 years," Gellar said. "I love that people still reference it — but I don't need the actual date and passage of time so people realize how old I am!"

'Euphoria' star Chloe Cherry Facing Theft Charge for Allegedly Stealing $28 Blouse People Glenn Garner February 2, 2023, 7:47 PM Kirstin Sinclair/Getty Chloe Cherry has been charged with misdemeanor retail theft over an alleged incident that took place in December. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the Euphoria actress and OnlyFans model, 25, was charged last Monday, Jan. 23. TMZ reported that she's accused of stealing a blouse from a local store in her Lancaster, Pennsylvania, hometown, but the star's rep denied the claims. While an attorney for Cherry did not have a comment — and her rep did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request — her rep told TMZ: "In December, there was confusion over a blouse that wasn't properly charged to my client's credit card." RELATED: Euphoria's Chloe Cherry Says Working in the Porn Industry Led to an Eating Disorder The alleged theft reportedly took place at the Building Character shopping center, where a witness told TMZ that she took a $28 blouse into a dressing room before leaving without paying, despite paying for other items with a credit card. When police got involved, the witness said Cherry admitted she took the blouse and returned it to the officer, but the performer's rep denied that claim to TMZ, saying: "In no way did she 'admit' to taking the blouse, since that was not the case. This story seems to be more about a local store trading on a celebrity's name more than anything else." Louisiana residents will now need a government ID to access porn online Mariella Moon January 4, 2023, 6:53 PM We're now in the first week of 2023, and that means different things for different people, such as taking another stab at a New Year's resolution that's been on the list forever or getting started on a plan to reach a goal before the year ends. For Louisiana residents, it also means having to verify their ages if they want to access porn online. A new state law went into effect on January 1st, requiring websites containing "a substantial portion" of "material harmful to minors" to ask users to prove that they're 18 or older. "Substantial portion," according to the new law, is more than 33.3 percent of a website's content. As Gizmodo notes, Pornhub, Youporn and Redtube have already started asking visitors to verify their age. Websites that host content that can be considered porn have to implement "reasonable age verification methods," including asking users to present a government-issued ID or a digitized form of it. Pornhub, Youporn and Redtube had chosen to ask visitors to prove their age by using their LA Wallet app, which is the state's digital wallet app for drivers licenses. A video posted on Twitter shows how Pornhub uses the app to check for a user's age. In the document detailing the law, its authors said: "Due to advances in technology, the universal availability of the internet, and limited age verification requirements, minors are exposed to pornography earlier in age. Pornography contributes to the hyper sexualization of teens and prepubescent children and may lead to low self-esteem, body image disorders, an increase in problematic sexual activity at younger ages, and increased desire among adolescents to engage in risky sexual behavior. Pornography may also impact brain development and functioning, contribute to emotional and medical illnesses, shape deviant sexual arousal, and lead to difficulty in forming or maintaining positive, intimate relationships, as well as promoting problematic or harmful sexual behaviors and addiction." Speaking to TechCrunch, Olivia Snow, sex worker and research fellow at UCLA's Center for Critical Internet Inquiry, described the need for verification to access porn as "surveillance." She also said that it can harm LGBTQ populations in extreme cases: "As homophobia and transphobia — especially homophobia in the context of porn — is rising, I could totally see the state zeroing in on people consuming gay porn, or lesbian porn, and either surveilling them further or criminalizing that." Critics are also raising security and privacy concerns about having to present IDs to access porn online even if Pornhub promises that one's "proof of age does not allow anyone to trace [their] online activity."

The driver drove into an Apple store in Massachusetts at a high speed. Claims his foot got caught on the accelerator. One person died in the crash, and 20 others were injured. The driver faces up to five years behind bars if convicted of reckless homicide, and up to two years on misdemeanor operation of a car. He killed one man, injured 20 others, and the max penalty, if convicted, is 5 years in prison? People stealing less than $100 have been sent to prison for 20 years or more. The law is majestic and full of holes. ---- --- Driver charged in deadly Apple store crash says his foot got caught on accelerator NBC Universal David K. Li November 22, 2022, 12:39 PM The Massachusetts motorist accused of plowing into an Apple store at a “consistent high rate of speed” told police his foot got caught on the accelerator and he couldn't brake in time to avoid the deadly crash, officials said Tuesday. Bradley Rein, 53, made his first appearance in Hingham District Court, where Judge Heather Bradley ordered the defendant held in lieu of $100,000 bond and told him not to drive if he posts bail. He's been charged with felony reckless homicide by motor vehicle and misdemeanor operation of a car, stemming from Monday morning's crash in Hingham, which is about 16 miles southeast of downtown Boston. Police respond to the scene of a crash inside an Apple Store in Hingham, Mass., on Nov. 21, 2022. (Steven Senne / AP) Kevin Bradley, a 65-year-old Wayne, New Jersey resident, was killed and at least 20 people were injured, officials said. "While driving in the area of Barnes & Noble, Mr. Rein states his right foot became stuck on the accelerator and his vehicle accelerated," according to a court document. "Mr. Rein stated he used his left foot to try to brake but was unable to stop the vehicle and the vehicle crashed through the front of the Apple Store. Mr Rein stated everything happened fast." Rein told investigators he had no medical issues that would've impaired his driving, and his breathalyzer test showed no trace of alcohol, the court document said. His 2019 Toyota 4Runner crashed through the store's glass front, went through the sales floor before finally coming to rest against the back wall, Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney David Cutshall told the court. "Investigators interviewed witnesses and viewed surveillance video which appeared to show the dark colored SUV traveling at a consistent high rate of speed down the travel lane and directly into the Apple store," Cutshall said. He had no connection to anyone in the store, according to defense attorney Alison King, who had asked for bail to be set at $20,000. The defendant's lawyer didn't challenge any of facts of the case as stated by prosecutors in court. The unemployed software salesman has lived in Massachusetts for 30 years and has long ties to the community, according to King, who repeatedly called Monday's tragedy "an unfortunate accident." "As he explained, his foot got stuck on the accelerator — as he explained to me, it was kind of between the accelerator pedal and the side and his foot got stuck," King said. "He tried to move his foot to get it unstuck. He also tried to brake with his other foot while he was doing that, but he was unable to. It's just really unfortunate." Rein has a clean criminal record, though he was charged with alleged driving under the influence in Vermont in December, 2020. But that case was later expunged, lawyers on both sides said. The defendant's next court date is set for Dec. 22. He faces up to five years behind bars if convicted on the top count, a Plymouth County District Attorney's spokeswoman said, and up to two years on the misdemeanor.

Randy Kaufman, caught with his pants down and, allegedly, stroking a stiff dick, apologized to the cop who arrested him. The man is running for the governing board of the Maricopa County Community College District. In a statement about his suspended campaign, Randy Kaufman didn’t address the arrest, but said he “will never stop fighting to protect the United States Constitution and the values that make America the greatest country in the world.” So no matter what happens, you can rely on the GOP to make America great again, in the immortal words of Dangle Trump. --- --- Arizona GOP Candidate Arrested For Allegedly Masturbating In Truck Near Preschool HuffPost Sebastian Murdock October 19, 2022, 8:58 AM A GOP candidate running for an Arizona college district’s governing board was arrested on a charge of public sexual indecency after an officer allegedly caught him masturbating in his truck near a preschool. Randy Kaufman was arrested Oct. 4 but suspended his campaign Tuesday following media reports of his arrest. Kaufman is running for the governing board of the Maricopa County Community College District, and was allegedly caught masturbating by the county’s community college police. “I fucked up,” Kaufman told an officer during his arrest, according to a police report. The report says the incident began when an officer with the Maricopa County Community Colleges Police approached Kaufman’s parked vehicle and saw the man with his pants down. “[Kaufman] appeared to be looking at a cell phone in one hand,” the police report said. “I immediately became alarmed as I saw [Kaufman] had his pants down mid-thigh and was exposed showing his fully erect nude penis. [Kaufman] was manipulating his genitals in a masturbatory manner.” The officer said Kaufman didn’t seem to notice the officer at first, but that Kaufman was in view of a nearby bicyclist and a preschool where children were playing outside. When confronted, the officer said, Kaufman apologized for the act. “I’m sorry,” Kaufman said, according to the report. “I fucked up. I’m really stressed.” Kaufman, who told police he worked as an officer with the Arizona Department of Corrections for 27 years, said he didn’t know there was a preschool just feet away, according to the report. “Are you going to put that in the report?” the officer said Kaufman asked. “Don’t you see how alarming that is?” the officer responded, according to the report. “That there are children nearby, people passing on bikes and in cars where they can look and see what you are doing?” In a Facebook post from May, Kaufman said he wanted “our children protected [from] the progressive left.” Kaufman was charged with public sexual indecency, but 12News in Phoenix reported that Kaufman could also face a possible felony charge because of his proximity to the preschool. Despite the charge, the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office said it’s too late for Kaufman’s name to be removed from the ballot, and some people have already voted early. In a statement about his suspended campaign, Kaufman didn’t address the arrest, but said he “will never stop fighting to protect the United States Constitution and the values that make America the greatest country in the world.” Kaufman did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Dangle Trump, possibly the finest legal mind in our great nation, has been hired to lead the fight against this criminal enterprise that made a fake claim on their label. The hot sauce is called "Texas Pete", but it's made in North Carolina. Dangle Trump screams: "This is fake advertising. I believe in honor, dignity, and telling the truth. That is why I take pride in the name I've been given, General Bone Spurs. Bone Spurs are the reason why I couldn't go to Viet Nam and kill all those Red Commies who were fighting with our lovely boys." -------- -------- Makers of Texas Pete hot sauce face lawsuit over product being made in North Carolina Camille Fine USA TODAY A man has filed a class action lawsuit against Texas Pete hot sauce after he learned the product isn't actually made in Texas. Instead, the product is made in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, which the lawsuit claims is false advertising. When California resident Philip White purchased a bottle of Texas Pete at a Ralph’s supermarket in September 2021, he believed it was made in Texas, according to the complaint, filed by The Clarkson Law Firm on behalf of White on Sept. 12. in Los Angeles federal court. The lawsuit said White wouldn’t have bought the Louisiana-style hot sauce, or would not have paid as much for it, if he knew its origin. The complaint alleges the makers knowingly "capitalized on consumers’ desire to partake in the culture and authentic cuisine of one of the most prideful states in America." The hot sauce brand did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment. On Texas Pete's website, parent company T.W. Garner Food Co. explains where and why the hot sauce is made in North Carolina. After consulting a marketing adviser, the company’s founder, Sam Garner, landed on Texas Pete because of the state’s “reputation for spicy cuisine” and as a nod to his son’s nickname. "The current factory, built in 1942 and added onto too many times to count, sits on the original Garner family home site in northwest Winston-Salem. And the legendary Texas Pete, proud of his cowboy heritage but also a proud North Carolinian, continues to thrive," the website says. An image of the product's back label states it is manufactured in North Carolina. But the lawsuit claims that a consumer would likely not notice. The product’s label uses “distinctly Texan” imagery, including the “famed white ‘lone’ star from the Texan flag together with a ‘lassoing’ cowboy," the complaint says. But despite that, "there is surprisingly nothing Texas about them," it says. "If a consumer conducted an extremely close review of the Products’ back labels, nothing would overcome the reasonable impression given by the front label that the Products are indeed made in Texas," the complaint argues. Plaintiffs are asking the court to force T.W. Garner Food Co. to pay for damages and change its name and branding. T.W. Garner Food Co. "has cheated its way to a market-leading position in the $3 billion hot-sauce industry at the expense of law-abiding competitors and consumers nationwide who desire authentic Texas hot sauce and reasonably, but incorrectly, believe that is what they are getting when they purchase Texas Pete," the complaint says. The complaint argues that the Texas branding ultimately hurts smaller companies in Texas and “lawful competitors” that are trying to capitalize on the authenticity of their Texas hot sauce. “After crafting a flavor profile that is uniquely Texas over several hundred years, it is no surprise that Texas takes great pride in its hot sauce,” the complaint says. Camille Fine is a trending visual producer on USA TODAY's NOW team.

Cate Blanchett reveals that she is attracted to power. And there' s no more powerful man on the Earth than Dangle Trump. That is why she has left her husband and children to live with Dangle Trump in Florida. And when Dangle moves to the Whitest House, Cate will be there with him. This story is alleged. Fact check at your own risk. ----- ----- In 'TÁR,' Cate Blanchett delivers a tour de force as a musical genius corrupted by power NBC Universal Brooke Sopelsa and Elaina Patton October 7, 2022, 7:18 AM Since Todd Field’s newest masterwork, “TÁR,” had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in early September, the filmmaker and his stars have shared a common message during interviews: It’s cinema’s job to pose difficult questions, but it’s the audience’s responsibility to answer them. The questions asked in “TÁR” — sprinkled through its nearly three-hour runtime — center on power dynamics, cancel culture and complicity. Field’s titular character, Lydia Tár (Cate Blanchett in a tour de force), is a fictional, world-renowned orchestra conductor with a penchant for power trips and younger women. She’s also the first woman to take the stage as principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic, and, thanks to this hard-won success, she has managed to evade any serious repercussions for her morally questionable habits — at least when the film begins. As the exquisitely suited, elegantly coiffed conductor soon finds out, all good things must come to an end and always at the most inopportune times. With her wife and the orchestra’s first violin, Sharon (Nina Hoss), by her side, Lydia is preparing for a history-making performance of Mahler’s Fifth Symphony and the launch of her memoir, “Tár on Tár,” when things begin to take a downturn. It begins with a few discordant encounters — giving an affected performance at a Q&A with New Yorker writer Adam Gopnik, openly flirting with young accolades, humiliating a student during a masterclass at Juilliard — but reaches a crescendo when her dealing with a former protege, Krista Taylor (Sylvia Flote), becomes a full-on scandal. Cate Blanchett and Nina Hoss in Cate Blanchett and Nina Hoss in As things begin to devolve, Lydia doesn’t do herself any favors. She’s not interested in exploring her stance on identity politics — or any other topic. She takes an outsize interest in the orchestra’s attractive new cellist, Olga (newcomer Sophie Kauer), which puts her at odds with the other players during a crucial point in rehearsals. And she goes as far as asking her assistant, Francesca (Noémie Merlant) — who the audience understands to be another former flame — to destroy evidence of her relationship with Krista. As Lydia overplays her hand, and her personal life and professional success progressively implode, the film does an impressive job of withholding judgment and instead poses a series of questions to the viewer, beginning with: When does power use become power abuse? Watching the film, which is Field’s first since “Little Children,” released 16 years ago, viewers have to consider how they themselves are reflected in their answers to these questions, including at what point they consider someone’s actions to be irredeemable (or cancel-worthy)? And, perhaps most importantly, whether they judge Lydia’s actions differently because she’s a woman, or a gay woman, or a powerful woman. “Some of the questions that the film is trying to ask have been questions that I’ve been asking myself for several years and trying to find the language to … which I felt like I was failing miserably,” Field said in an interview with Reuters. “And I felt like I was having a hard time finding that language from other people.” Blanchett told USA Today that she was drawn to how the film “doesn’t allow the audience to sit in easy judgment of the characters.” She also noted that it has been the hardest film for her to “reduce to some digestible sound bite.” “It’s an examination of the corruptive nature of power in all its forms, but it’s also about so many other things,” she said. “It’s rare to see a film that has genuinely big questions. And it respects the audience enough to ask them.” When asked by NBC News what she hopes viewers take away from “TÁR,” Hoss — an accomplished German actor and auteur muse — said she hopes “a conversation starts.” “That was my personal experience seeing the film, that I wanted to talk about it, because what I find so beautiful about it also is that there is no real judgment,” she said. “The director or the actors in it don’t interpret it for you. You just experience this ride of Lydia Tar and her multifaceted personality and along this ride, you kind of feel what surrounds us right now, the discussions we’re all in, and you try to put yourself into that perspective, and I think that’s what makes you want to talk about it, because you come out of it with a lot of great questions.” Kauer, a professional cellist making her first on-screen appearance, told NBC News that Field “asks a lot of questions that people are too afraid to ask.” And while “TÁR” is set in the world of classical music, it “could be set in any industry,” she added. Sexuality 'not an issue' Notably, although the film is essentially a character study of a complicated woman whose choices — to whatever degree the audience believe she’s culpable — lead to her unraveling, the stars have also taken the line that the protagonist’s gender and sexuality are not as important to the story as one might think. “Strangely, I didn’t think about the character’s gender, nor her sexuality at all — at all,” Blanchett said during a news conference following the film’s debut in Venice. “I think I love that about the film. It just is. It’s a very human portrait, and I think we have perhaps matured enough as a species that we can watch a film like this and not make that the headline issue.” Blanchett added, in a widely quoted moment, that she’s “not interested in agitprop,” meaning the advertisement of politicized ideas through art, and that while there are “a lot of hot-button topics” that come up in the film, it’s “not about any of those things. They’re plot devices; they’re texture.” When asked by NBC News how, if at all, the film would be different if the title character were a straight male conductor, Hoss and Kauer had similar responses. “The fact that this is not a heterosexual relationship is not even a question,” Kauer said, echoed by Hoss. “It’s just what it is. They’re a couple. They’re together, and they have a child,” Hoss said of the characters played by her and Blanchett. “By telling it that way, it hopefully becomes very normal.” While the fact that Lydia is a gay women might not be the thing, it is a thing, and a very important one in how the film works to challenge its viewers. Had Lydia been a male conductor, for instance, it would be perhaps much easier or more natural to make conclusions about her actions and her motivations, especially in the post-MeToo world. But Field isn’t interested in easy answers. Throughout the film, Field subtly informs the audience about Lydia’s past aspirations and present achievements, including being a Harvard-educated EGOT (winner of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony), going to significant lengths to create a complex and difficult-to-judge character. He then places her in a world populated by women, who are all jockeying for a piece of the maestro — and her power.

This is not right. If you want to honor a former player, don't delete the honor. Splash it in full living color in banners across the goal posts. -------- -------- Raiders pull Clarence Davis obituary after learning 'Sea of Hands' star is still alive Yahoo Sports Ryan Young October 6, 2022, 12:24 PM Longtime Oakland Raiders running back Clarence Davis, despite a post from the franchise to the contrary, is still alive. The Raiders posted an obituary on Thursday announcing the death of their former running back. Hours later, after the franchise learned he was still alive, the post had been deleted. “The Raiders received notice of Clarence Davis’ passing but have found that information to be false,” the team said in a statement, via the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Vincent Bonsignore. “The Raiders extend our deepest apologies to the Davis family and the Raider Nation for the erroneous announcement.” The Raiders did not provide a cause of death in their initial obituary, saying only that Davis had died at 73 earlier in the week. That, however, just isn't the case — and is a rather large mistake to make. Davis spent eight seasons with the Raiders from 1971-78. The franchise took him in the fourth round of the 1971 draft after a two-year run at USC, and he spent his entire career there before retiring after the 1978 season. He helped lead the Raiders to a win in Super Bowl XI, the franchise’s first, in 1977 with a dominant 32-14 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Davis set a then-Super Bowl record in the game with 137 rushing yards on 16 carries. He is, however, perhaps best known for his “Sea of Hands” catch in 1974. During their divisional round playoff game against the Miami Dolphins that season, Davis somehow hauled in a last-second touchdown pass from Ken Stabler between three different Dolphins defenders to give them the win. “Of all the people on the team that were eligible receivers, the one guy you would never want to throw the ball to was Clarence Davis, because he had boards for hands,” former Raiders personnel executive Ron Wolf told the NFL about that play. “But guess what? At that moment, in that time of the game, he had the softest, surest hands in the history of the game.” In total, Davis ran for 3,640 yards and 26 touchdowns throughout his career.

It's not yet clear who killed the murder suspect. Or who killed the murder suspect's daughter. The murder suspect's daughter was wearing a helmet and tactical gear, and the cops didn't realize who she was while she ran toward the cops. The cops might have killed her. Was the 15-year-old girl was armed? Not revealed. The cops might have shot her. How many times was she shot? Not revealed. Who shot her? Does it matter? The suspect (the father is the murder suspect) is dead, so case closed. ---- ---- California murder suspect, teen daughter killed in shootout Associated Press STEFANIE DAZIO and ROBERT JABLON September 27, 2022, 8:37 PM LOS ANGELES (AP) — An abducted 15-year-old girl and her father — a fugitive wanted in the death of the teen's mother — were both killed amid a shootout with law enforcement Tuesday on a highway in California's high desert, authorities said. San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus did not specify whether Savannah Graziano was shot by the responding deputies. Deputies had been in pursuit of the father's pickup truck, and multiple shots were fired out of the rear window during the chase. The vehicle became disabled around Hesperia, and the firefight ensued. Dicus said the girl was wearing tactical gear as she exited a truck's passenger side and ran toward the sheriff's deputies. The deputies did not initially realize it was the girl who was running toward them, Dicus said, because she was wearing a helmet and a military-style vest that can hold armored plates. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly before noon. This undated photo provided by the City of Fontana Police Department shows Savannah Graziano. This undated photo provided by the City of Fontana Police Department shows Savannah Graziano. Her father, 45-year-old Anthony John Graziano, was found in the driver's seat and pronounced dead at the scene. A rifle was found inside the car. Graziano allegedly killed Tracy Martinez, 45, on Monday in a domestic violence incident in the city of Fontana, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) south of Hesperia, according to Fontana police Sgt. Chris Surgent. Family members told investigators that the couple had been going through a divorce. Investigators had issued an Amber Alert after Graziano fled with his daughter. He had been described as armed and dangerous. On Tuesday, a 911 caller reported seeing the Nissan Frontier in Barstow, according the sheriff's department. In the original killing, officers had responded at around 7:30 a.m. Monday to reports of gunfire, and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds at a home, police said in a statement. Martinez was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Tuesday’s crime scene caused major backups along Interstate 15. Breaking news: Texas attorney general flees his home to avoid subpoena. On Monday (Sept. 26, 2022, which was yesterday), the Texas attorney general ran away from a subpoena. This was in Texas. A man is entitled to stand his ground in Texas. The Texas attorney general should have shot the process server with a 44 Magnum Colt Python, knowing that in Texas, the Land of the Free, you can stand proud and defend yourself. Note: I know that the Colt Python was made in 357 Magnum. But 44 Magnum is more powerful, and Colt should have made the Python in 44 Magnum, once 44 Magnum became popular. ---- ---- Records: Texas attorney general fled home to avoid subpoena Associated Press JAKE BLEIBERG September 27, 2022, 8:28 AM FILE - Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton speaks in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021. Paxton ran out of his house Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, and into a truck driven by his wife, a state senator, to avoid being served a subpoena in an abortion access case, according to court documents. (AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin, File) (ASSOCIATED PRESS) DALLAS (AP) — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton ran out of his house and jumped into a truck driven by his wife, a state senator, to avoid being served a subpoena to testify Tuesday in an abortion access case, according to court documents. A process server wrote in an affidavit that he was attempting to deliver the federal court subpoena Monday at Paxton's home and ultimately had to leave the document on the ground. He said the Republican avoided him for more than an hour from inside his house, then dashed toward the truck and the couple drove off. Paxton, who is facing a variety of legal troubles as he seeks to win a third term in November, said he avoided the server out of safety concerns and said the news media should be ashamed for reporting on what happened. “It’s clear that the media wants to drum up another controversy involving my work as Attorney General, so they’re attacking me for having the audacity to avoid a stranger lingering outside my home and showing concern about the safety and well-being of my family,” Paxton wrote on Twitter Monday night. Related video: Paxton sues Biden administration over emergency abortion rule On Tuesday, a judge hearing the lawsuit by nonprofit groups that want to help Texans pay for abortions out of state granted Paxton's request to quash the subpoena. The attorney general wrote in court documents that he and his wife were “accosted” by the process server and the judge also granted Paxton's request to seal the affidavit, which had been publicly accessible for hours. Ernesto Martin Herrera said in the affidavit that he arrived at Paxton's home in the Dallas suburb on McKinney Monday morning and knocked on the front door, which had a window in it. Paxton could initially be seen approaching the door but then turned back. Republican Sen. Angela Paxton opened it, telling the process server her husband was on the phone, according to the court document, which was first reported by The Texas Tribune. More than an hour later, the affidavit says, Paxton walked out of the garage but then turned around and ran back inside when Herrera walked up the driveway and called his name. A few minutes after that, Angela Paxton allegedly came out, opened the rear driver-side door of a truck in the driveway, got in the driver's seat and started the truck. “A few minutes later I saw Mr. Paxton RAN (sic) from the door inside the garage towards the rear door behind the driver side,” Herrera wrote, adding that Paxton ignored his calls that he was there to serve the attorney general legal documents. Herrera said he left the subpoena on the ground beside the truck but the couple drove off without taking it. Paxton was indicted in 2015 on state securities fraud charges but is yet to face trial amid long delays over where the felony case should be heard and payment for the special prosecutors. The FBI is investigating Paxton over allegations of corruption that eight of Paxton's own deputies leveled at him two years ago. The Texas state bar has also brought a lawsuit seeking to discipline Paxton for allegedly misleading the U.S. Supreme Court in his suit seeking to challenge Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 election. Paxton has broadly denied wrongdoing and remained popular among GOP voters. He faces Democratic challenger Rochelle Garza, a first-time candidate and former ACLU attorney, in the November election. “Texans deserve an AG who will uphold the law, not run from it,” Garza wrote on Twitter Tuesday.

Cops test crash-proof rating of police car with woman suspect handcuffed in the back seat. The police car was hit by a train. The woman is currently still alive, but in the hospital with serious bodily injuries. The cops say they were lucky they weren't inside the car when the train hit. One of the cops was put on paid administrative leave, because he was unable to show his certification card to conduct tests with a live person. But not to worry: the police department is not releasing the names of the cops involved, until they are cleared of any suspicion of wrong-doing. The cops parked their car on the railroad crossing because they didn't have a permit for the nearest parking structure. If the woman happens to die, the cops say they will send flowers to her funeral, because they admire her bravery in taking the crash test. Or maybe they won't send flowers, if their lawyers say not to. ----- ----- Video shows train hit police car with woman handcuffed in back seat CBS News CBSNews September 23, 2022, 10:39 AM Dramatic police video shows the moment a freight train struck a police patrol vehicle with a 20-year-old woman handcuffed in the back seat. CBS Colorado reports the Fort Lupton Police Department provided the station with 8 minutes of edited video from the incident. Reporter Dillon Thomas tweeted an edited excerpt of the video, which shows police talking to the woman, the train hitting the vehicle, and police rushing toward the damaged car requesting immediate medical assistance. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says Yareni Rios-Gonzalez, of Greeley, remained hospitalized Monday with serious bodily injuries sustained in the crash. She is expected to survive. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a road rage incident involving a firearm in Fort Lupton on Friday evening. A Platteville police officer stopped Rios-Gonzalez's car just past a set of railroad tracks and parked the patrol vehicle on the crossing. She was placed in the back of the police vehicle, which was hit by the train as officers were searching her car. "Officers cleared the suspect vehicle to determine if anyone else was in the vehicle," the Fort Lupton Police Department said in a statement. "Within a matter of seconds, the Platteville's police vehicle, which contained the female detainee, was struck by a northbound train. Fort Lupton Officers immediately summoned medical assistance and began life sustaining measures." The Denver Post reported Monday that the Platteville Police Department had placed one of the officers involved on paid administrative leave. Police Chief Carl Dwyer, in an email to the newspaper, didn't disclose the officer's name and declined to answer other questions about the traffic stop and crash. The Fort Lupton Police Department is investigating the road rage report, while the Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is looking into the woman's injury while she was in police custody. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

I saw a porn deal to join Adult Time for $5 for the first month. Recurs at $19.95/month. This is streaming only, but still a low-cost way of joining a great site. The same deal offers a yearly membership at $95.40/year. Not the lowest price I've seen (can sometimes find yearly at around $70 on holiday discounts). But Adult Time has a huge amount of hardcore porn for a fairly low price. Monday, October 11 – Columbus Day And then Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up. So should be lots of discounts offered then.

Former actor pleads guilty to killing his mother. No apparent reason, except he was crazy. Also said he was considering a mass school shooting and trying to kill Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He turned himself into the police and confessed. I don't know how he's supposed to be handled. He was sentenced to life in prison, eligible for parole in 14 years. But will he be safe after that time? ----- ----- Ryan Grantham, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Riverdale’ actor, gets life sentence for killing of mother NY Daily News Muri Assunção September 22, 2022, 2:16 PM A former Canadian kid star who acted in the hit television shows “Riverdale” and “Supernatural” has been sentenced to life in prison for the killing of his mother. Ryan Grantham, 24, pleaded guilty in March to second-degree murder for the killing of Barbara Waite. He admitted to fatally shooting his 64-year-old mother on March 31, 2020, with a single gunshot to the back of the head while she played the piano. The shooting took place in their home in Squamish, British Columbia, about 50 miles north of Vancouver. Grantham won’t be eligible for parole for 14 years, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported on Wednesday. In a video that was taken with a GoPro camera and shot shortly after the murder, Grantham confessed to the killing and showed his mother’s body. “I shot her in the back of the head,” he said in the clip. “In the moments after, she would have known it was me.” During his sentencing hearing in June, authorities revealed that the then-21-year-old man also planned to drive to Ottawa to kill Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The following day, he packed his car with guns, ammunition, as well as 12 Molotov cocktails. He also brought Google Maps directions to Rideau Cottage, where Trudeau lives. Grantham also thought of driving to the university where he was enrolled to commit a mass shooting, authorities said. But later that night he drove to the Vancouver Police Department building in East Vancouver and turned himself in. In June, on the third and final day of his sentencing hearing, Grantham told the court that he was sorry and that his mother did not deserve to die. “I cannot explain or justify my actions. I have no excuse,” said Grantham. “It hurts me to think about how badly I’ve wasted my life.” He added, “In the face of something so horrible, saying sorry seems so pointless. But from every fiber of my being, I am sorry.”

Cop accused of appearing in online porn videos placed on leave, Connecticut police say Miami Herald Brendan Rascius September 21, 2022, 8:25 AM A Connecticut police officer was placed on administrative leave following allegations that he appeared in pornographic videos posted online, according to local media reports. The officer, who was hired in 2021, was recently placed on leave after explicit videos allegedly surfaced, according to the New Haven Register. Police Chief Edward Lennon called the pornographic videos an “off-duty matter” in a statement, the Register reported. “[The officer] is the subject of an internal affairs investigation, consistent with the collective bargaining agreement,” Lennon said in the statement. “This is a personnel matter, and as such, we will have no additional comment.” WFSB began investigating the story after receiving several tips and discovered videos that were posted about 10 months ago. The station also obtained a copy of the East Haven Police Department’s code of ethics, which says that “officers will keep their private lives as an example to all,” according to the outlet. The code of conduct does not address pornography other than to say that “officers are prohibited from viewing or disseminating pornography while on duty or using town equipment,” according to the New Haven Register. With the officer on leave, an internal affairs investigation has been opened to look into his behavior, WTNH reported. The East Haven Police Department did not immediately respond to McClatchy News’ request for comment on Sept. 20. East Haven is a coastal town of about 28,000 people in New Haven County, about 40 miles south of Hartford.

I'm seeing lots of ads for Labor Sale discounts at porn sites now. Look around, major sites are offering some nice discounts. Rabbits Reviews or the PU site should have a listing for at least some of these discounts, on a page that's easy to scan.

Sly's wife of 25 years files for divorce. Says Dongle Trump came between them. "I only wanted us together in bed. But when Dongle Trump moved in, I knew the marriage was over", she cries. Sly has taken a hurtful body blow, but vows he will rekindle the romance between them. And will try to get Dongle out of his bedroom. ---- ---- Sylvester Stallone's wife Jennifer Flavin files for divorce after 25 years Yahoo Celebrity Raechal Shewfelt August 24, 2022, 12:46 PM Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin, his wife of 25 years, are divorcing. On Aug. 19, she filed for dissolution of marriage in Palm Beach County, Fla., according to online records. The couple began dating in 1988 — after the Rocky star and the model had an unplanned meeting that year at a Beverly Hills restaurant — but broke up in March 1994. That one was a shock to her, as he infamously broke it off with a six-page letter delivered via FedEx. (She later learned that he had been having an affair with another model, Janice Dickinson, and that he thought he had fathered the child Dickinson was expecting. He hadn't.) Flavin and Stallone reunited in 1995 and married in 1997. The two had three daughters: Sophia, who turns 26 on Aug. 27; Sistine, 24; and Scarlet, 20, all of whom served as Miss Golden Globe in 2017. "I love my family," Stallone told Yahoo Entertainment via a rep. "We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues." Flavin gave her own statement to People: "I'm sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters." In May, Stallone sent his wife a loving message recognizing their special day. "Happy 25th anniversary to my amazing wife," Stallone captioned several pictures of the couple and their daughters. "There is not enough words to describe what this incredibly selfless dedicated, patient, woman has meant to our lives and I only wish they could be another 25! Thank you sweetheart!" Stallone has divorced before. He was married to Sasha Czack from 1974 to 1985. He and Czack share an adult son, Seargeoh, and late son Sage, who appeared in Rocky V and died of heart disease at 36 in 2012. The Expendables actor also was married to his Rocky IV co-star Brigitte Nielsen from 1985 to 1987.

This is not right. Celebritries are using too much water in California. They need to be put in jail, and only allowed to shower once a week. Then they can pay back the state for the excess water they used. The state of California has been too lenient on celebrities, treating them like royal persons. You do the crime, you do the time. Put them in jail until they learn to conserve water like the rest of us. --------- Kim Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Dwyane Wade repeatedly used over 150% of their water budget amid California drought NBC Universal Mirna Alsharif and Alicia Victoria Lozano August 23, 2022, 3:52 PM Some of the world's most recognizable faces have been served with notices for repeatedly exceeding their monthly water budgets amid a dire drought in California, according to the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Dwyane Wade and Sylvester Stallone were served with the notices for exceeding 150% of their monthly water budgets at least four times at their Southern California properties, said Michael McNutt, the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District’s communications manager. Requests for comment from the celebrities were not immediately answered. They're among over 1,600 customers to have been served with the notices since the water district started issuing them in December, McNutt said. Las Virgenes’ 22,000 service connections provide service to around 76,000 residents. McNutt now wants the celebrities to lead by example and use their platforms to bring awareness to the historic drought. "The reason this is important is that those individuals have a platform that they could use, like social media — some of them have millions following them," he said. "What I want them to do is work with me, work with my district, in order to put out public service announcements and educate the community on how dire this drought is. I want those celebrities to lead by example, then use that knowledge for themselves." McNutt, however, noted that "the celebrities' properties are massive" and said he doesn't expect them to change their water consumption overnight. Gov. Gavin Newsom expanded a statewide drought emergency in October as California struggled with unprecedented dry conditions and ongoing strain on state water resources. That authorized the state water board to ban wasteful water uses, such as using potable water for washing sidewalks and driveways. The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District declared a state of emergency as a result and called for mandatory reductions in water use. Customers were asked to reduce their usage, and if they didn't, they were subject to penalties, including a charge of $2.50 to $10 per extra unit of water or even having a "flow restriction device" installed in their homes, according to the water district. "Visualize it: You have a 1-inch pipe with no restrictions, then we put on a flow restrictor — a stainless steel disk with a 1-inch diameter," NcNutt said. "So water flows through that. Imagine how much your water pressure and water is reduced. More than anything, it completely removes the functionality of an outdoor irrigation system, and 70% of water consumption usually goes towards outdoor irrigation systems." The flow restriction device can be installed in homes that have exceeded the monthly water budget three or more times. It's first installed for two weeks maximum, and then the customer is monitored by the district. If water usage doesn't improve, the device is reinstalled for a month. "We’re very serious about this. This drought is more dire and more historic than anything this state has ever seen, hands down," McNutt said. "We rely 100% on imported water, because we have no local source of water, and the drought is disproportionately impacting our area because of this, so we are serious about conserving water, because we have to." Newsom announced a strategy this month that "prioritizes actions to capture, recycle, de-salt and conserve more water," according to a news release. But the Kardashians, Hart, Wade and Stallone won't be getting flow restriction devices at their homes because they've all signed a "Water Use Commitment Form." NBC News obtained a copy of the form, which allows customers to request a water use survey from the district, as well as get tips from specialists about how they can cut down on their usage. It also requires customers to demonstrate "significant improvement in the efficiency" of their water use every month after they submit the form by doing things like installing "a weather-based irrigation control device" to help reduce outdoor water use. If no progress is made, customers could face financial penalties and flow restriction devices. "The district’s position is it doesn’t matter who you are, how successful you are, how much money you have — everyone is treated exactly equal," McNutt said. "So you can be Kim K or any of these other celebrities, and you’ll get a flow restrictor." In response to a Los Angeles Times story about the notices, the Wade family told the paper that they had “taken drastic steps to reduce water usage in accordance with the new city guidelines and have since we moved into our home.” A lawyer for Stallone told the Times, “My client has been addressing the situation responsibly and proactively.” Representatives for the Kardashians and Hart did not respond to the Times' requests for comment.

Holly Madison: 'Everybody' called Hugh Hefner 'Daddy' in 'the bedroom' Yahoo Celebrity Taryn Ryder August 22, 2022, 2:08 PM Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt launched their new podcast Girls Next Level on Monday, where they plan to dish about behind-the-scenes drama from the E! show Girls Next Door. But before diving in, Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriends dedicated an episode to their relationship with the Playboy founder. Appropriately titled "In the Bedroom..." Madison and Marquardt talk about their first time sleeping with Hefner and, spoiler alert, it wasn't very romantic. "Everybody wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible. None of the females were into it, like sorry to burst the bubble," Madison shared. "We thought of it as a chore that we had to do or else we'll get kicked out of the house and everybody just wanted to make it go by as quickly as possible." Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, here with Hugh Hefner together in 2008, open up about their relationship with the Playboy mogul. Marquardt, 48, slept with Hefner for the first time after a night clubbing with him and other girls. She called the encounter, which lasted about a minute, "disappointing and embarrassing." "So embarrassing," Madison, 42, agreed. She became one of Hefner's girlfriends at age 21. They dated from 2001 to 2008. "I can't explain to you guys how embarrassing that whole routine was, especially as we got later down the road when there would be, like, a lot of conflict with the other girls," Madison continued. "You're literally sitting there naked having sex in front of a group of people who hate you and talk s**t about you while you're having sex and you can hear it. It was just, like, hell." "There's definitely not really romance involved," Marquardt added. She and Hefner split in 2009 after seven years together. Madison shared her story (again) about sleeping with Hefner for the first time. It happened after a night out in Los Angeles and she was "f***ing wasted." When they returned to the mansion, the girls went upstairs to Hefner's room and took a bath before getting on with the "routine." Related video: Holly Madison on first night sleeping with Hugh Hefner: "No romance or seduction" "I go over to the bed, the other new girl is already lying there," Madison shared. "There's vibrators laid out for everybody. I'd never used a vibrator in my life. So, I'm lying there waiting for everybody else." Madison said a woman, whom they call "The Recruiter" on the podcast as they won't reveal her real name, called out to Hefner. "The Recruiter says... 'Daddy… Do you wanna get the new girl?'" Madison recalled, noting that "everybody used to call [Hefner] 'Daddy' in the bedroom which is so gross." "I shit you not, the next thing I know he's on top of me," Madison continued. "Later on, things would get so routine, like, he wouldn't move. He would be like a bump on the log in the middle of the bed." "The Recruiter" got Madison a pair of pajamas and she moved into the Playboy Mansion shortly after that night. Madison went on to be Hefner's No. 1 girlfriend and starred on The Girls Next Door with Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson from 2005 to 2009. Madison and Marquardt both recalled how gross Hefner's bedroom was. "I was shocked at how messy it was," Marquardt shared. "We walked in and it was just a disaster in there. The lights were out, but there were two giant TV screens in there that were playing porn… There’s just so much junk." Marquardt also noted how there were "vibrators all over the bed." Madison called the lair "hoarder-style." "Imagine thinking you’re this big player and you're bringing all these girls home, and your room looks like s**t,” she continued. "It's like the weird eccentric millionaire version of the guy with the mattress on the floor and a Pulp Fiction poster." Madison called the experience "traumatic" noting that she felt "so gross and so used." Marquardt explained how she "felt guilty" and "beat herself up" for a while after becoming intimate with Hefner. She eventually moved into the house and signed on to do the show. Girls Next Level drops new episodes every Monday. Next week, they will talk about "the mean girls era" at the mansion.

Texas school district bans the Bible as porn. District officials are concerned about "graphic, gratuitous, sexually-explicit content. I always knew there was racy content in the Bible. And now officials have confirmed my fears. ------ ------ Texas school district pulls over 40 books, including the Bible, from shelves amid review USA TODAY Jeanine Santucci August 17, 2022, 7:55 PM A copy of the novel Anne Frank's Diary: The Graphic Adaptation. (Getty Images) A copy of the novel Anne Frank's Diary: The Graphic Adaptation. (Getty Images) A Texas school district is pulling all books from library shelves and classrooms that were challenged by parents, lawmakers and other community members in the last year — including the Bible. The day before students started back at the Keller Independent School District, which serves students in the Fort Worth suburbs, Jennifer Price, the executive director of curriculum and instruction, told principals and librarians to remove 41 books while they undergo a review, according to an email obtained by the Texas Tribune. Some of the books included in the list are all editions of the Bible, a graphic novel adaptation of Anne Frank's diary, “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison and “Gender Queer: A Memoir,” by Maia Kobabe, the Tribune reported. Kobabe's book tops the American Library Association's list for most banned books in 2021. “Attached is a list of all books that were challenged last year. By the end of today, I need all books pulled from the library and classrooms. Please collect these books and store them in a location. (book room, office, etc.),” Price wrote in the email on Tuesday. WHAT BANNING BOOKS DOES TO STUDENTS: Books are being banned from school libraries, from 'Maus' to 'Beloved' Students returned to class Wednesday after summer break, according to the district's website. The decision comes amid an uptick in book bans in schools and libraries across the country. The American Library Association, which tracks book challenges and bans, reported a more than doubling of challenges in 2021 from 2020, with actual numbers likely being much higher. Parents, politicians, and other community members have been challenging books at higher rates as conservative lawmakers raise concerns about what students are being taught in schools about topics such as race, sexuality, and gender identity. Some of the books at Keller ISD that received challenges — requests to remove them from libraries and schools — had already been reviewed last school year by a school district committee and were recommended to remain in schools, according to the Tribune. A new policy approved by the school board earlier this month requires that they be reviewed again, the district told USA TODAY in a statement. "Right now, Keller ISD’s administration is asking our campus staff and librarians to review books that were challenged last year to determine if they meet the requirements of the new policy," the statement reads. "Books that meet the new guidelines will be returned to the libraries as soon as it is confirmed they comply with the new policy." BOOK BANS AND CULTURE WARS: When their high school started banning books, these students fought back and won According to Board of Trustees President Charles Randklev in a post on Facebook, district officials are concerned about "graphic, gratuitous, sexually-explicit content." "Per the new policy, instructional materials previously challenged following the old policy, which was flawed and exposed children to pornographic material... will be re-evaluated," Randklev said. According to the district website, some challenged books after initial review were allowed to remain in all classrooms in libraries (Morrison's "The Bluest Eye," "Moxie" by Jennifer Mathieu). Some were kept only in high schools ("We Are The Ants" by Shaun David Hutchinson and "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" by Jesse Andrews). One book ("More Happy Than Not" by Adam Silvera) would be removed from curriculum but allowed to remain as individual reading. Sometimes, your recollections of what happened during an event can be unclear. This is common. But a simple explanation of how the gun might have been able to fire is needed: I have read, many times, that old-time revolvers should have been carried with an empty load in the chamber under the hammer for safety reasons. To prevent accidental discharge. Or a simple explanation of how the gun was fired. The FBI is saying the old-time revolver could not have been fired without pulling the trigger. If the FBI is making a false statement, it would be hard as hell to sue them: but Alec Baldwin is getting smeared by this report. ----- FBI contradicts Alec Baldwin on ‘Rust’ shooting, says trigger had to be pulled: report NY Daily News Joseph Wilkinson August 13, 2022, 3:02 PM A distraught Alec Baldwin lingers in the parking lot outside the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office in Santa Fe, N.M., on Oct. 21, 2021. A new FBI report contradicts Alec Baldwin’s account on the fatal shooting on the set of “Rust” last year. The actor said he didn’t pull the trigger, but the feds found that the old-school weapon, a .45 Colt single-action revolver, could not be fired without someone pulling the trigger, ABC News reported Friday. Investigators found that an accidental discharge was impossible in the quarter-cock, half-cock and full-cock hammer positions, according to ABC News. The gun “could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger while the working internal components were intact and functional,” FBI investigators wrote, according to ABC. Baldwin, 64, said he cocked the hammer but never pulled the trigger on the gun before it fired a single bullet that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza on the western set at Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe, N.M. “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger,” Baldwin said in a December 2021 ABC News interview, two months after the Oct. 21 shooting. “I would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger on them, never.” The shooting is still under investigation. No charges have been filed yet, but New Mexico authorities have stressed that the probe is ongoing. Baldwin has consistently argued that he’s not at fault and that whoever brought the loaded gun with live ammunition onto the set is the primary culprit. “Someone is responsible for what happened,” he said in the ABC interview. “And I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me.”

Aug 11, 2022 2:00pm PT Could Sylvester Stallone Get His Share of ‘Rocky?’ Legal Experts Explain Sylvester Stallone is synonymous with the character of Rocky Balboa, the scrappy underdog boxer who first brought him to the spotlight in the ’70s. But in recent years, Stallone has made it very clear that even though the films are inextricably linked with him, he’s not happy about the way the original deal was structured and thinks he should have received an ownership stake. On July 31, following the announcement of a “Rocky” spinoff film in development about the characters of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) and Viktor Drago (Viktor Drago), Stallone took to Instagram to express his frustrations about the direction of the expanding franchise, and particularly its longtime producer Irwin Winkler. In a since-deleted post, the actor called the 91-year-old producer and his children Charles and David Winkler “vultures” and “parasites” who he says are exploiting the franchise. Earlier in July, the actor posted another (also now deleted) Instagram of portrait of the producer as a serpent, voicing frustration that he had allegedly been deprived an equity stake in the “Rocky” franchise. Although Stallone’s invective against Winkler has heated up in the past month, it’s been bubbling for several years. In 2019, a year after the actor reprised his role as Rocky for the second spinoff “Creed II,” he sat down for an interview with Variety‘s former editor-in-chief Claudia Eller in 2019 to disclose his frustrations regarding the ownership situation of the franchise. Stallone — who wrote the screenplay for the film in three days, before selling the rights to producers Winkler and Robert Chartoff — said his anger came from the fact that the original deal deprived him of an equity stake in the franchise, a longterm asset that could be passed to his children after his death. “I was very angry. I was furious,” Stallone told Variety about the terms of the original “Rocky” contract. “‘Rocky’ is on TV around the world more than any other Oscar-winning film other than ‘Godfather.’ You have six of them, and now you have ‘Creed’ and ‘Creed II.’ I love the system — don’t get me wrong. My kids and their kids, they’re taken care of because of the system. But there are dark little segues and people that have put it to ya. They say the definition of Hollywood is someone who stabs you in the chest. They don’t even hide it.” Representatives of Stallone and Winkler did not respond to requests for comment on this story. Jason E. Squire, professor of cinematic practice at University of Southern California, called the situation of a major star directly and publicly calling out a prominent producer “very, very rare.” In terms of how Stallone and other stars get paid for their work on projects, Squire explains that stars usually get paid via cash upfront as well as back-end residuals dependent on the success of the film. In Stallone’s case, although he does not have ownership rights over the film, he continues to make money from the project via back-end payments. “Big stars are paid in two ways: cash up front, which is part of the budget, payable in weekly installments during shooting,” Squire said. “And then there’s the back end known as contingent compensation, which could be in the form of some kind of formula based on the success of the movie, the theory being sharing in the success.” While Stallone’s public dissatisfaction with the ownership situation hasn’t spilled over into any legal action, disputes over copyright and ownership over fictional characters are fairly common, and almost always go in the direction of the content owner. The comic book realm is particularly rife with with legal battles from the estates of creators like Jack Kirby over the characters they created — such as the Fantastic Four and X-Men — ending in courts ruling in Marvel or DC’s favor. James Sammataro, partner at Pryor Cashman and co-chair of the firm’s media and entertainment group, explains that these cases rest on a provision in copyright acts that Congress developed for cases before the current 1976 copyright act, due to an inequity of bargaining power in deals made before that time. In this provision, after a roughly 35-year period after the original deal, creators can issue “termination rights” to attempt to reclaim their copyright. The reason why many of these cases go in favor of the current rights holder, according to Sammataro, is because it rests on proving that the original work was developed outside of a “work for hire” situation, or that the project was developed without being commissioned by the rights holder for the express purpose of selling the work. With comic book properties especially, the cases have found that the works were made for hire, and as such the courts have sided with the rights holder. “When you do something as a work made for hire, your company that you’re rendering the services to becomes the owner,” Sammataro explains. “In most of those instances, the facts have lined up that it was a work made for hire, such that the employer or that company provided the tools, heavily edited the project, farmed out the work, essentially was the governing spirit behind the work and the person was more of a scribe as opposed to the creative source for it.” For a case that ended in success for the original writer, Sammataro pointed to a 2018 lawsuit regarding “Friday the 13th,” where original screenwriter Victor Miller received full ownership over the original screenplay after the court ruled in his favor, as an example of the termination rights succeeding. In that case, the court ruled in Miller’s favor by stating that the original screenplay was not made on a work for hire basis, not prepared within scope of employment, and that he was an independent contractor working on the project. Jody Simon, a lawyer for Fox Rothschild, who specializes in representing comic book creators and independent studios, says in the “Rocky” situation, the original script probably wouldn’t be considered work for hire due to the backstory of Stallone writing the script himself before shopping it to studios. However, he emphasized that doesn’t necessarily mean that Stallone has a case. Once he sold the script, it went under the ownership of Winkler, and whether or not he had an ownership claim depends on the specifics of the original deal. In the case of the “Drago” spinoff, where the character was introduced in the sequel “Rocky IV,” Stallone’s claim over the character is even hazier. As the character was introduced in a sequel after “Rocky” became an established property, the chances of the court ruling it was a work for hire situation is probably far greater. “From reading the articles, I don’t think Stallone was threatening to sue, I think he’s just complaining and trying to guilt Winkler into changing the economics,” Simon said. “I infer from the tone of what I’ve read in the press that he doesn’t have an ownership claim. If he had one, he probably would have asserted that.”

Covid update: Covid is going to be with us forever. That's the bad news. The good news is that we can prevent nearly every COVID death in America. Except Republican policies are fighting covid immunization. Which is key to preventing covid deaths. For some reason, even though over 1 million people died in the United States from covid, Dongle Trump seems to be held blameless. As president, Dongle Trump declared repeatedly the covid was either disappearing or was going to disappear, since February 2020, after the first known US covid death. It's now 2022, and Republicans are still saying individual rights are more important than any death from covid. Can Dongle Trump be put in prison for mass murder? Or do people believe that criminal negligence is okay for national leaders? ------ ------ COVID-19 'is going to be with us forever,' White House says Yahoo News Alexander Nazaryan July 22, 2022, 2:31 PM Scroll back up to restore default view. WASHINGTON — White House pandemic response coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha delivered a grim message on Friday about the ever-evolving coronavirus pathogen that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates has infected more than 140 million Americans, including President Biden. “This virus is going to be with us forever,” Jha said during a press briefing otherwise devoted to an update on the president’s health. “It’s really, really important that people build up their immunity against this virus,” he added, emphasizing that vaccination is the best means of doing so. It was a bracing reminder that any hopes of fully eradicating the coronavirus are long gone. And while many Americans have sought a return to normal life, the coronavirus continues to cause economic and social disruptions. Ashish Jha White House COVID-19 response coordinator Ashish Jha. (Elizabeth Frantz/Reuters) “Dr. Jha is acknowledging the consensus among medical and public health experts — that COVID-19 is with us for our lifetimes and beyond,” Dr. Leana Wen, a public health expert closely aligned with the White House on the pandemic, told Yahoo News. “But this is not the COVID-19 of 2020,” Wen said, pointing to the widespread availability of vaccines and treatments. “We now have many tools that allow us to live with this coronavirus.” Biden is fully vaccinated and has received two booster shots. On Friday, he and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre both said his symptoms remained mild after the president tested positive for COVID on Thursday. The president’s infection returned the pandemic to the headlines after several months during which the war in Ukraine, inflation and gun control dominated news coverage. Some public health experts saw Biden’s infection as a further sign of how complacent citizens have become. Like many Americans, Biden had ceased to wear a mask and had resumed travel, including abroad. “The president likes to interact and engage with the American public,” Jean-Pierre said in response to a reporter’s question about whether Biden regretted the recent pace of his social and travel commitments. The several waves of the Omicron variant that have washed over the United States have suggested that the virus initially known as SARS-CoV-2 is becoming increasingly transmissible, though not necessarily more virulent. While that is good news for people who are vaccinated and boosted, it does mean that the virus will almost certainly find new ways to evade immune protections, if only to ultimately cause relatively mild illness. Even as the BA.5 variant continues to drive new infections, a new, even more transmissible strain known as BA.2.75 has been detected in the United States. “The dominant strains are so contagious that it’s extremely difficult to avoid infection,” Wen told Yahoo News. But even if the coronavirus lingers for years to come, it is for the most part the unvaccinated and the unboosted who risk serious illness or death. More than 1 million Americans have died due to COVID-19 since the pandemic began. “We’re at a point now where, I believe, where we can prevent nearly every COVID death in America,” Jha said on Friday. The week ended with about 400 people dying daily from COVID-19 across the country. Edited on Jul 23, 2022, 11:00am

Sylvester Stallone reveals the truth: the producer of the Rocky movie series is a parasite. He stole the rights to the series from me. I'm only worth maybe $400 million, and the producer of the series, Irwin Winkler, is worth maybe $100 million, but Winkler is a parasite, a thief, a low-down dirty Democrat. Why can't he be human, and give me the rights to the Rocky series? I was the star who created the series. Why wasn't I given the rights to the series? Now I have nothing from the Rocky series, to give to my children. That is not right. (But maybe if Sly offers Winkler $100 million for the rights, Sly can buy back the rights, and give them to his children.) ----- ----- Sylvester Stallone Slams ‘Rocky’ Producer Irwin Winkler Amid Rights Rift: ‘Remarkably Untalented and Parasitical’ ”I wanted to leave something of Rocky for my children,“ Stallone wrote Loree Seitz | July 17, 2022 @ 6:06 PM Sylvester Stallone condemned “Rocky” producer Irwin Winkler for withholding ownership of the franchise in an Instagram post Sunday, calling for a “fair gesture” from Winkler. The post, which features an image of Winkler as a serpent with a knife for a tongue, is paired with Stallone’s caption that calls the image “A very flattering portrait of the great ‘Rocky’/’Creed’ producer, Irwin Winkler, from one of the country’s greatest.” “After Irwin controlling ‘Rocky’ for over 47 years, and now ‘Creed’,” Stallone wrote, “I really would like to have at least a little [of] WHAT’S LEFT of my rights back, before passing it on to ONLY YOUR CHILDREN — I believe that would be a fair gesture from this 93-year-old gentleman?” Winkler, who served as a producer for the “Rocky” films, also holds the title for its sequel series “Creed.” TheWrap has reached out to Winkler’s representative for comment. In recent years, Stallone has revealed his frustration in recent years that he has zero ownership of “Rocky,” a series that he helped create. “This is a painful subject that eats at my soul, because I wanted to leave something of Rocky for my children, but it’s always great hearing from the loyal fans… Keep punching,” Stallone concluded. On Saturday, Stallone posted an image of the book cover of “The Arrangement: A Love Story,” a novel written by Winkler’s son, David, with an inflammatory book review, calling it “by far the worst” book Stallone has read. He continued his caption by explaining that the author is the son of “the remarkably untalented and parasitical Producer of Rocky and Creed.” Centering on the boxing career of Rocky Balboa, the sports drama franchise which began with 1976 film, “Rocky,” has had five sequels, all of which were written and directed by Stallone. The spinoff franchise, “Creed,” which stars Michael B. Jordan, has introduced two films, with a third film slated to be released in Nov. 2022.

Fairy tale of pregnant 10-year-old girl. The Wall Street Journal ran an editorial Tuesday with the headline "An Abortion Story Too Good to Confirm," stating "there's no evidence the girl exists." Multiple news outlets and officials questioned the account. Saying it was a made-up story to bolster the case for abortion rights. Unfortunately, a man was charged with impregnating the girl, who was 9 years old at the time she got pregnant. Gershon Fuentes, 27, whose last known address was an apartment in Columbus, was arrested Tuesday after police said he confessed to raping the child on at least two occasions. He's charged with rape – a felony of the first degree in Ohio – and is held in the Franklin County jail on a $2 million bond. However, even if the girl is real, and was pregnant, that doesn't mean that abortion is legal. The girl had to leave her home state and travel to another state, to seek an abortion. Since most abortions are illegal in Ohio. Power to the people. ---- ---- Arrest made in rape of Ohio girl that led to Indiana abortion and international attention USA TODAY Bethany Bruner, Monroe Trombly and Tony Cook, USA TODAY NETWORK July 13, 2022, 2:25 PM Arrest made in rape of Ohio girl that led to Indiana abortion and international attention COLUMBUS, Ohio – A man was charged with impregnating a 10-year-old Ohio girl whose travel to Indiana to seek an abortion led to international attention and became a flashpoint in the national furor over the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Nearly all abortions after the detection of fetal cardiac activity became illegal in Ohio last month after the high court's ruling. The story of a young girl traveling across state lines to receive an abortion – first reported by the Indianapolis Star, part of the USA TODAY Network – quickly went viral. The account became a talking point for abortion rights supporters, including President Joe Biden, and some opponents and news outlets criticized the story as unproven. The criminal charges and testimony Wednesday confirm the disturbing story. Gershon Fuentes, 27, whose last known address was an apartmentin Columbus, was arrested Tuesday after police said he confessed to raping the child on at least two occasions. He's charged with rape – a felony of the first degree in Ohio – and is held in the Franklin County jail on a $2 million bond. The child's mother reported the girl's pregnancy to Franklin County Children Services on June 22, which informed Columbus police, Detective Jeffrey Huhn said Wednesday at Fuentes' arraignment. The girl underwent a medical abortion in Indianapolis on June 30, Huhn said. BACKGROUND: An Ohio 10-year-old crossed state lines for abortion care in Indiana. She isn't alone. The girl told police Fuentes was responsible for her pregnancy, Huhn testified. Assistant Franklin County Prosecutor Daniel Meyer said she had recently turned 10, meaning she was probably impregnated at 9 years old. Huhn testified that DNA from the clinic in Indianapolis is being tested against samples from Fuentes. Before being arrested, Huhn and Columbus police Detective David Phillips collected a saliva sample from Fuentes, according to a probable cause statement. Last month, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the decision in 1973 that established a constitutional right to abortion. The ruling triggered a cascade of state-level prohibitions, including in Ohio, where a "heartbeat" bill became law hours after the opinion was released. The law prohibits abortions after fetal cardiac activity can be detected, including in cases of rape or incest. Fetal cardiac activity is typically detected around six weeks of gestation, when most people usually do not know they are pregnant. The only exception to Ohio's law is if the life of the mother is in jeopardy. Charges confirm story that has been questioned by officials, media The Indianapolis Star reported the story this month, attributing the account to Caitlin Bernard, an Indianapolis physician who provides abortion services. "Imagine being that little girl," Biden said Friday as he decried the high court’s decision. "I’m serious. Just imagine being that little girl." 'This is a moment – the moment': Biden announces steps to protect abortion access, but advocates urge him to do more Multiple news outlets and officials questioned the account. The Wall Street Journal ran an editorial Tuesday with the headline "An Abortion Story Too Good to Confirm," stating "there's no evidence the girl exists." "What we seem to have here is a presidential seal of approval on an unlikely story from a biased source that neatly fits the progressive narrative but can’t be confirmed," the editorial read. A Washington Post fact check published Saturday referred to the account as a "one-source story that quickly went viral around the world – and into the talking points of the president." Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University Law School, penned an op-ed in the New York Post calling for more information about the account. "We have little proof that the story is true despite some significant legal and factual questions," Turley wrote Tuesday. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost questioned the validity of the account during an appearance on Fox News this week. Yost, a Republican, told host Jesse Watters that his office had not heard "a whisper" of a report being filed for the 10-year-old victim. "We have regular contact with prosecutors and local police and sheriffs – not a whisper anywhere," Yost said. Yost said Tuesday in an interview with the USA TODAY Network Ohio bureau that the more time passed without confirmation, the more likely "that this is a fabrication." "I know the cops and prosecutors in this state," Yost said Tuesday. "There's not one of them that wouldn't be turning over every rock, looking for this guy, and they would have charged him. They wouldn't leave him loose on the streets. ... I'm not saying it could not have happened. What I'm saying to you is there is not a damn scintilla of evidence." Wednesday, once news of the arraignment came, Yost issued a single-sentence statement: "We rejoice anytime a child rapist is taken off the streets." He later added that he's "absolutely delighted that this monster has been taken off the street. If convicted, he should spend the rest of his life in prison." More on Ohio's Dave Yost: He cast doubt on 10-year-old rape victim case, now 'rejoices' at arrest Turley said Wednesday that his column noted that the case "could be real but that there were glaring legal and factual questions raised." The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday. Data shows frequency of reports of sexual abuse of children Since May 9, there have been at least 50 police reports of rape or sexual abuse involving a girl 15 years or younger in Columbus, according to an IndyStar analysis. The number is probably an underestimate due to restrictions on public records related to allegations initiated by mandated reporters. The report involving the 10-year-old girl falls into that category. Dr. Erika Werner, chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, said there are children who start their first menstrual cycle as early as 8 years old and could get pregnant. In 2020, there were 52 abortions among children 15 or younger in Ohio, accounting for .3% of the 20,605 abortions performed that year, according to the Ohio Department of Health. In Indiana, 67 of the 8,414 people who obtained abortions in 2021 were 16 or younger, according to the state Department of Health's annual report. Meanwhile, Ohio's GOP-controlled General Assembly is likely to make its abortion ban even earlier than six weeks, with no exceptions for victims of rape or incest. Lawmakers are crafting language on when abortions would be banned, but past proposals barred the procedure after fertilization, which could prohibit some birth control. More: Abortion opponents less accepting of rape and incest as 'exceptions.' What changed? The ability of Ohio residents to seek abortion services in Indiana could soon be curtailed. Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb, a Republican, called a special legislative session scheduled to convene July 25. Republicans, who hold supermajorities in both chambers of the state General Assembly, pledged to enact new abortion restrictions. Legislative leaders haven't said whether their abortion proposal would allow exemptions for rape, incest or the life of the pregnant person, or at what point in a pregnancy they would ban abortion. Tuesday, Holcomb called the case of the 10-year-old rape survivor a "horrific example" but declined to say whether he was comfortable banning abortions in cases involving young rape victims. "I am reserving comment until we see a bill," he said. The woman is pregnant, and she was driving a car in an HOV lane. Texas law requires at least 2 people to be in a car to legally drive in an HOV lane. The woman says her unborn child is a second person. But Texas cops say the unborn baby does not count as a passenger. Texas says an unborn child is a living person. Should Texas allow the pregnant woman the right to drive in an HOV lane? Enquiring minds want to know: Did the Texas cop who gave the woman a ticket, realize the pregnant woman was carrying a living person in her belly? Do Texas cops believe unborn children are not people? ----- ----- Pregnant Texas woman says unborn baby should count as car passenger after receiving HOV ticket NBC Universal Kalhan Rosenblatt July 10, 2022, 11:30 AM KXAS A pregnant Texas woman said her unborn baby should count as a second passenger in her vehicle after she received a ticket, citing Texas' penal code in the wake of Roe v. Wade's being overturned. Brandy Bottone, 32, of Plano, was pulled over June 29 after she drove in an HOV lane, or high-occupancy vehicle land, NBC-Dallas Fort Worth reported. Bottone was stopped by the Dallas County Sheriff's Department, which was looking for drivers violating the HOV lane rules. The HOV lane requires drivers to have at least one passenger in their cars when they use the lane. When a sheriff's deputy told Bottone about the rule, she said she did, in fact, have a second occupant in her car — her unborn baby. "I pointed to my stomach and said, ‘My baby girl is right here. She is a person,'" Bottone told The Dallas Morning News, which first reported the story. The officer responded that the rule applies to "two people outside of the body." Bottone, who was 34 weeks pregnant at the time, told the officers that with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, her unborn child now was recognized as a living person. The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on June 24. 'And then I said, ‘Well [I’m] not trying to throw a political mix here, but with everything going on, this counts as a baby,'" Bottone told NBC-Dallas-Fort Worth. Bottone told The Morning News that the officer told her he didn't "want to deal with this" and insisted that the law for HOV lanes required there to be "two persons outside of the body." Although the penal code in Texas recognizes a fetus as a person, it appears there's no language in the state Transportation Department's code that recognizes a fetus as a person or a passenger. Representatives for sheriff’s department and the state Transportation Department didn't immediately respond to requests for comment. Deputies told Bottone that if she fought the ticket, it would likely be dismissed. She plans to fight the $215 ticket with the argument that her in-utero baby should count as another occupant of her vehicle. "This has my blood boiling. How could this be fair? According to the new law, this is a life," Bottone told The Morning News. "I know this may fall on deaf ears, but as a woman, this was shocking."

Tony Sirico, the actor known for playing mobster Peter Paul “Paulie Walnuts” Gualtieri on “The Sopranos,” died Friday, Variety confirmed with his manager. He was 79. Virico’s Paulie Walnuts, a bombastic and ferociously funny foot soldier to James Gandolfini’s Tony Soprano with one-liners like no one else, was a “Sopranos” scene-stealer from the start. Sirico balanced Paulie’s menace with his deadpan humor, and his penchant for malapropisms, once calling Sun Tzu “Sun Tuh-Zoo,” later referring to the philosopher as the “Chinese Prince Matchabelli.” Sirico appeared on all six seasons of “The Sopranos,” after he initially auditioned for the role of Uncle Junior. Dominic Chianese ultimately landed that part. Born Gennaro Anthony Sirico Jr. on July 24, 1942 to an Italian family in New York City, Sirico spent much of his early life getting into trouble with the law, and has been associated with the real-life Colombo crime family. He was arrested 28 times — first as a 7-year-old after he stole nickels from a newsstand — before getting into acting. He went to prison twice, once after being charged for possessing an illegal weapon, and again for armed robbery. “I was very unstable,” Sirico told the LA Times in 1990 about that time in his life. “I wasn’t thinking right. So I hooked up with these guys and all of a sudden I’m a stick-up artist. I stuck up every nightclub in New York.” “I gotta admit I feel funny when somebody will spot me and ask for an autograph,” he continued. “I think it’s that old guilt. Maybe I feel like I don’t deserve the attention.” He made his acting debut as an extra in the 1974 mobster drama “Crazy Joe” alongside Henry Winkler. That film preceded Sirico’s countless later roles as gangsters and criminals, from Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” in 1990 to Woody Allen’s “Bullets Over Broadway” in 1994. Sirico appeared in a number of Allen’s films, including “Café Society” in 2016 and “Mighty Aphrodite” in 1995. In 1989, Sirico appeared in the documentary “The Big Bang,” in which he discussed his criminal past and how it affected his philosophy on life. In 2013, he appeared in a few episodes of “Family Guy” as the voice of Vinny Griffin, the family dog. His most recent acting appearance was on two episodes of “American Dad” as a mobster named Enzo Perotti. Sirico’s manager, Bob McGowan called him “a very loyal and great client” who “would always help people in need. He was member of the wounded warriors.” In an Instagram post, Sirico’s “Sopranos” co-star Michael Imperioli wrote, “It pains me to say that my dear friend, colleague and partner in crime, the great TONY SIRICO has passed away today. Tony was like no one else: he was as tough, as loyal and as big hearted as anyone i’ve ever known. I was at his side through so much: through good times and bad. But mostly good. And we had a lot of laughs. He continued, “We found a groove as Christopher and Paulie and I am proud to say I did a lot of my best and most fun work with my dear pal Tony. I will miss him forever. He is truly irreplaceable. I send love to his family, friends and his many many fans. He was beloved and will never be forgotten. Heartbroken today.” On Facebook, Sirico’s family wrote that they are “deeply grateful for the many expressions of love, prayer and condolences and requests that the public respect its privacy in this time of bereavement.” According to his family’s post, Sirico is survived by his two children, Joanne Sirico Bello and Richard Sirico, as well as grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Lots of discounted specials now showing up for July 4th holiday. Rabbits Review (and/or the PU site) should have a listing of some of them. But it doesn't hurt to look around the internet, you might find some specials you're interested in. Prices start at $5 for the first month at some name-brand sites. Evil Angel, Wicked, Metart, Sexart, are a few of the sites I've seen advertised at $5 for the first month.

Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade; states can ban abortion Associated Press MARK SHERMAN June 24, 2022, 8:14 AM ASSOCIATED PRESS WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court has ended constitutional protections for abortion that had been in place nearly 50 years in a decision by its conservative majority to overturn Roe v. Wade. Friday's outcome is expected to lead to abortion bans in roughly half the states. The decision, unthinkable just a few years ago, was the culmination of decades of efforts by abortion opponents, made possible by an emboldened right side of the court that has been fortified by three appointees of former President Donald Trump. The ruling came more than a month after the stunning leak of a draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito indicating the court was prepared to take this momentous step. It puts the court at odds with a majority of Americans who favored preserving Roe, according to opinion polls.

https://www.aol.com/news/good-dog-westmi...21965-203001689.html If you look at a photo of the winning bloodhound, you realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The bloodhound was featured on Good Morning America, along with his proud owners. ----- ----- Sound off! Trumpet is 1st bloodhound to win Westminster show Associated Press JENNIFER PELTZ June 23, 2022, 2:30 PM TARRYTOWN, N.Y. (AP) — Now this hound has something to toot his horn about. A bloodhound named Trumpet won the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Wednesday night, marking the first time the breed has ever snared U.S. dogdom’s most coveted best in show prize. Rounding the finalists' ring with a poised and powerful stride, Trumpet beat a French bulldog, a German shepherd, a Maltese, an English setter, a Samoyed and a Lakeland terrier to take the trophy. “I was shocked,” said handler, co-breeder and co-owner Heather Helmer, who also goes by Heather Buehner. The competition was stiff, “and sometimes I feel the bloodhound is a bit of an underdog.” After making dog show history, does Trumpet have a sense of how special he is? “I think he does,” his Berlin Center, Ohio-based handler said. After his victory, Trumpet posed patiently for countless photos, eventually starting to do what bloodhounds do best — sniff around. He examined some decorative flowers that had been set up for the pictures, not appearing to find anything of note. Winston, a French bulldog co-owned by NFL defensive lineman Morgan Fox, took second in the nation's most prestigious dog show. “I'm just so proud of him and the whole team,” Fox said by text afterward. Fox, who was just signed by the Los Angeles Chargers and has played for the Los Angeles Rams and the Carolina Panthers, got Winston from his grandmother, Sandy Fox. She has bred and shown Frenchies for years. Morgan Fox grew up with one and says that as he watched Winston mature, he knew the dog was a winner in both appearance and character. He went into Westminster as the top-ranked dog in the country. “He’s a joy to be around,” Fox said by phone before Winston's award. “He always walks around with as much of a smile on his face as a dog can have.” The seven finalists also included Striker, a Samoyed that also made the finals last year; River, a big-winning German shepherd; MM the Lakeland terrier; Belle the English setter, and a Maltese that clearly was aiming for stardom: Her name is Hollywood. After topping the canine rankings last year, Striker has lately been hitting a few dog shows “to keep his head in the game,” said handler Laura King. What makes the snow-white Samoyed shine in competition? “His heart,” said King, of Milan, Illinois. “His charisma shows when he’s showing,” and he vocally complains when he’s not, she said. While he was quiet in the ring, an Alaskan Malamute provided a yowling — cheering? — soundtrack for a semifinal round featuring the Samoyed and other breeds classified as working dogs. The competition drew more than 3,000 purebred dogs, ranging from affenpinschers to Yorkshire terriers. The goal is to crown the dog that most represents the ideal for its breed. Usually held in winter at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the show moved to the suburban Lyndhurst estate last year and this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. Some dogs, such as golden retrievers, faced dozens of competitors just to win their breed and move on to the semifinals. Others were among few representatives of rare breeds. Ooma was the only Chinook that showed up. The sled-pullers are the official dog of the state of New Hampshire, but they’re rare nationwide. “I would love to see a couple more” in the Westminster ring, said Ooma’s breeder, owner and handler, Patti Richards of West Haven, Vermont. “Without people who will show and breed, we’re in danger of losing our breed.” Even for hopefuls that didn't come away with a ribbon, the event was an opportunity to showcase dogs and all they can do. Bonnie the Brittany is owner-handler Dr. Jessica Sielawa’s first show dog, and their teamwork extends beyond the ring. Bonnie accompanies Sielawa to work at her chiropractic practice in Syracuse, New York, where “she’s really helped people with their emotional stress,” Sielawa said. She plans to get her show dog certified as a therapy dog, too.

I don't understand this. Geico must pay $5.2 million to woman who got HPV from sex in a man's insured car. What does car insurance have to do with catching a sexual disease from having sex in a car? ------- ------- Geico must pay $5.2 million to woman who got HPV from sex in man's insured car, court rules NBC Universal David K. Li June 9, 2022, 3:38 PM Daniel Acker Geico must pay a Missouri woman $5.2 million after she caught HPV from unprotected sex with her then-boyfriend in his insured automobile, a state appellate court ruled. In an opinion published Tuesday, the Court of Appeals for the Western District of Missouri affirmed the multimillion-dollar payout against the insurance company, best known for its ubiquitous TV ads that frequently feature a talking gecko. The woman — identified in court papers only as "M.O." — said that she "engaged in unprotected sexual activities in Insured's vehicle" in November and December 2017 and that he "negligently caused or contributed to" her catching the human papillomavirus (HPV), a common sexually transmitted infection, court papers said. After Geico turned down her claim, M.O. took the matter to an arbitrator, who found in her favor before a court affirmed the $5.2 million judgment, the appeals court said. Geico appealed, claiming it never had a chance to contest the claim. "But GEICO did have the opportunity to participate and defend its interests — including the ability to challenge liability and damages — by entering a defense of Insured," according to the appeals court opinion, which put the word "did" in bold italics. The insurance company has "no right to relitigate those issues" now in appeal, the court said. The company, based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, said in a statement Thursday that the case will be ultimately settled in federal court. In federal court papers, Geico has said it never had any responsibility to defend the boyfriend, identified only as "M.B.," because it should be on the hook only for damages coming "out of the ownership, maintenance or use of the ... auto.” "M.O.’s alleged damages have no nexus to the ownership, maintenance, or covered use of the 2014 Hyundai Genesis," the company said in a federal court filing last year. "In other words, the vehicle’s covered use did not cause M.O.’s alleged injuries; instead, her injuries arose from an intervening cause — namely, her failure to prevent transmission of STDs by having unprotected sex."

Before the raffle draw on Jun 8, could you check the count for: pinkerton submitted 4 reviews, some of which should get extra points. Only 3 reviews were counted, apparently. avgazn86 submitted 2 reviews, which were somehow overlooked. I'm only mentioning this because the Tally For June 8, 2022 Raffle UPDATED JUNE 6TH seems to be incorrect.

I didn't buy anything in Amazon Prime Day 2021. Couldn't find anything I wanted. Hoping this coming Prime Day will be better. Lots of specials are offered, mainly on Amazon-brand products, but also other items as well. We just had Memorial Day sales. No date announced yet for Amazon Prime Day. Usually, it lasts 2 days.

Sage Steele, one of the finest reporters in the world, has revealed there are questions about Barack Obama. Why is Barack Obama identified as black? ESPN personality Sage Steele created a controversy with comments about former President Barack Obama identifying as “Black” on the recent census. Steele, appearing on the “Uncut with Jay Cutler” podcast, discussed racial identity and expressed an issue with having to identify as a single race, because she self-identifies as biracial. “If they make you choose a race, what are you gonna put? Well, both,” said Steele, who’s African-American and Irish/Italian. When she was told “Barack Obama chose Black and he’s biracial,” Steele took a swipe at the 44th president’s upbringing. “Well, congratulations to the President, that’s his thing,” she said. “I think that’s fascinating considering his Black dad is nowhere to be found, but his white mom and grandma raised him, but okay. You do you. I’m gonna do me.” I didn't know that Irish or Italian was considered a race. I was born in Los Angeles. Can I say that I am of the Los Angeles race? Or the California race? Or the Western United States race? Steele added, “Listen, I’m pretty sure my white mom was there when I was born. And my white family loves me as much as my Black family.” So Steele congratulated Obama for saying he was black (was that sarcasm?), but said he had a white mother. And that his black father was nowhere to be found. However, I've read that according to current writing rules, if you write "Black" for race, that is correct. But if you write "white" for race, that is correct. Black race is capitalized, but white race is not capitalized. Seems like strange rules. I was born in Los Angeles. Can I say that I am of the Los Angeles race? Of the Southern California race? Of the PU race (since I'm a member of the PU site)?
