Not being a vid guy, it doesn't really come up on my radar.

I listen to what I want to listen to, when I want to listen to it.

I answered a similar thread you started with the same response.

sexsim.com

Which has recently had a very useful upgrade.
There is now a real time head/body morphing package.

It is probably not what you are asking this time around though!

......and I think that is why it should be deemed to be sucessful as it stands.

I can appreciate your altruistic intent on this, but nothing in this world is perfect, & in all honesty, whatever system you have folk will tend to play it to their own advantage.

That is human nature coming out again.

Promoting site activity is what it is about.

I doubt many would bother about trust votes at all if there were no motivation.

FigureBaby & TorridArt for starters.

After the first half dozen sites
though, I would be struggling!

Edit:

Actually thinking about it further, on the strength of the recent updates, I wouldn't even recommend Figurebaby.

Further to this, the original photographer has moved on to be replaced by a mainstream photographer.

Strike the Figurebaby recommendation entirely.

So thanks Squirrel

1) How would that encourage more reviews & input?
I don't see any correlation?

2) With human nature being what it is, I think a lot of folk just simply would not bother with trust votes at all.

As I said earlier, their intention is to promote site usage & whatever the motivation, which is a moot point anyway, they do appear to work.

Well, personally, I always use an early positive trust vote as an encouragement.

On the less than a handful of occasions I have issued negatives, they have only been on blatant shilling.

Well, as the intent of the incentives are to promote site use, they are effective.
If they were removed as suggested, I for one would not bother so much to give trust votes or comments, if at all.

I think those ideas would make it overly complicated & also discourage users from bothering to comment or give trust votes.

To me it basically works fine as is.

I will agree on your last line though.

'Not world changing or PU changing. I would ask though to mostly refrain from hitting new users with negative trust votes. Save that for the really untrustworthy ones.'

M., my good friend!

Fashions do go in cycles so it is likely to come around again.

In the mean time try:

Pin-UpWow

Retro Queens

pinupglamour.com

Perhaps most promising of all:

donovansdarlings.com

It isn't 100% there, but it should restore your faith that some women still enjoy dressing in more traditional sexy clothing.

OnlyTease even lacks softcore content.

Even sets which are claimed to be 'nude' often aren't.

Now if there were guaranteed softcore full body nudity, that would hit the spot fine for me.

Talking of which in today's paper.

'Google is being sued for £8,000 by a man who was shown urinating in his garden. The 50 year old man says he is now a laughing stock in his village.

His lawyer said:

'My client was caught in the privacy of his own home, with the gate closed. It is a small village & everyone recognised him.

The man, who lives in France, is suing for invasion of privacy & illegal use of his image."

Good luck to him, I say!

For me it is not so much the fact that it is being done.

It is the insidious, high handed, ambivalent, nonchalant manner in which it is done.

Denner, my friend.

When you mention 'pins', I think you are refering to piercings & specifically studs.

Studs are not as permanent & usually leave much smaller scars than removed tattoos.
That said, I find the style in which they are often used is more of a disfigurement rather than an attractive enhancement.

As you quite rightly imply, there is no substitute for natural beauty.

In fact I quite often find both tattoos & piercings sufficiently disfiguring to make it worth my while cranking up Photoshop & making them go away.
The natural lady is always far more attractive for doing that.

With my own images, I am of the opinion that if it is taken well it requires little, if any, Photoshop / GIMP post processing.

When I have no access to the original image, say for an older favourite photoset, I will rescale, sharpen & amend anything else in the image which is not to my taste.
It is not perfect, but I find it is often worth my while.

That is the way I always do it.

It is way too time consuming to do that for each set, but if I particularly like or dislike a certain set, I will email the Webmanager & explain to detail what I liked or didn't like.

Usually they are quite appreciative of this.

When ATK started allowing comments, whilst some of the contributions were worthwhile, a large majority were at best not constructive and often abusive.

Sex toys for me always stay virtual.

Much stealthier!

I delete very little.

It is less of a problem for me being a photo guy.

If I have an old set I particularly like I may even 'remaster' it in Photoshop.

Let's face it.

The performers aren't hired for their acting ability.

I don't really agree with the doom & gloom outlook.

The industry has to adapt to survive & I am sure it will.
Everything evolves, especially given the pace of change in the virtual world.

TBH I am not sure how it will go, but I am certain 'Where there is a will there is a way.'

Unfortunately, that goes for piracy as well as legitimate business.

The problem with piracy, in any industry, is that it is the equivelant of introducing counterfeit currency into an economy. The dollar loses its value. The bottom line is nobody is going to work for free in a for-profit industry. I wouldn't, you wouldn't. The end result is that the producers will need to cut back on production and some will simply leave the business for something more profitable.

You cant just say, I want you to continue to produce these goods and services for my personal viewing pleasure but I won't pay for these goods. Everyone will eventually end up wanking to the same old tired videos once new production slows to a crawl and businesses close up shop. Producers will not lower the price to try to get people to go back to paying.

As far as the price, porn is not as expensive as it once was. A decade ago, one video would cost $39.99 in an adult video store. That's one video! Today, you can pay $20 for a single month and download to your heart's content. It's like buying wholesale from Sam's Club. You can buy a whole crate of frozen dinners for $20 instead of buying the single helping for $4.99 from Food King. Porn is not expensive today. Anyone who thinks it is, hasn't lived through the 80's.

The bottom line is, if we don't continue to pay, those of us who enjoy the beauty of erotica will see it dwindle.

Very well put, & I reckon you are correct.

It has to be economically viable or new material will not be made.

I think that is probably due to their relative rarity.

It has to beat the 'sledgehammer / collateral damage' approach.

As you rightly say, it is of little real consequence, but it is nice to be acknowledged anyway.
