This week we finished some minor forum updates, some noticeable and others not so much. Either way, I figured they were worth a quick heads up for you guys. The Boring Updates: 1. The My Threads feature got a minor make-over. New swirl icon/logo. Viewing your My Threads now has a simple X icon where you can remove a thread. 2. The FAQ's are now included on the same page as the Rules. This link is located on the bottom of the forum homepage. The Interesting Updates: 1. There is a new e-mail preference (click Edit Profile) under the Forum section that sends you an e-mail notification when a new thread is added to the forum. I can see many users subscribing to this. 2. Have you ever just wanted to go directly to the most recent post in the thread (from the thread list page)? Now you can! Under the Last Post column of the Forum Home, you'll notice the date or time above the user nick is now LINKED. Clicking the link will now take you to that post (the most recent in the thread). 3. Threads you save to My Threads will now be highlighted in red and a swirl logo when viewing the Forum Home (thread list). This way you can easily follow your saved threads without having to go back and forth from the My Threads section. That should be it and we hope you guys find them useful! Wadup Khan! That's definitely a good point and the one of the reasons we have a edit time limit. However, it could still occur within within the 30 day limit and the benefit might override the possible confusion. Some great feedback on this subject! Our initial intention was to have reviews expire after 12 months, which we haven't enabled yet. After a review expires, it would be archived on a deeper page from the site page and the score would no longer apply. In addition, the point(s) earned from that review would also be removed. The user would have the option to create a new review from scratch and re-earn a point (or two). Follow-ups were meant for just brief updates to the review, but it makes sense for users to almost give a shorter updated review. So if a follow-up exists, maybe we extend the review expiration based on that date. Another solution though would be to remove follow-ups altogether, have review "edits" never expire (user can do an entire new review anytime), and expire the review after a year (from most recent review). Still need to put more thought into it. We'll definitely seek a solution to this. It got put on the back burner for now since there were higher priority tasks in need. I won't be around much again till Monday, so I'll catch up with more replies then. Thanks guys! Hey Denner! Yeah I do agree that a lot of reviews are way out of date and there will always be sites where the scores don't match up. I even disagree with our reviewers sometimes. Later this year, TBP reviews will change dramatically! I can't give too many details yet, but let's just say the diff review formats (express, official, follow-up) will be out the door. A single review format, and NEW reviews for the top 100 sites every 4-6 months. My biggest issue with our reviews is most are way out of date, the express reviews explain little, follow-up reviews are weak/confusing, and it takes too long to go live with a review (from the date requested). Just a quick heads up that .png is now an acceptable file format for your Avatar. For those looking for cool avatars, there's a ton of great web-sites that offer free personal avatars! Avatars will someday be site-wide, so that your forum avatar will be displayed with your feedback in most other sections of PornUsers! This is a great day for porn users!! I want to personally welcome you to our new custom built user forum. We wanted to make sure to build a forum that not only integrated seemlessy with our existing accounts, but also presented a forum experience that we felt fit our community. You'll find similar features you may be familiar with from other internet message boards and hopefully some unique features and styles as well. Khan will be your staff eyes and ears and will gladly help anyone with questions. Please be sure to read the forum rules carefully before posting.
