Haha, ah the era of flashy but entirely ineffective electronic wizardry. I'm very familiar with such cars. That said, being a Ford, I'm betting it had great heating. Every Ford Tempo I've ever encountered had a heater that burned like the fires of Hades the second you turned on the car. I'm assuming they used electric heaters, but I never confirmed that. All I know is that in Northern New York, it was an awesome feature that I was very envious of. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Haha, yeah, I couldn't help picturing everybody equipped with swimming goggles. Hell, Brazzers likes doing comedy scenes, they should have produced a scene showing what 100% compliance to the letter of the law would look like. Would have been hilarious and a great demonstration as to how stupid the law was. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Second Grand Order Poobah in the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalo

That is great news! I'm not sure why the regulators wanted to do this. It would be like requiring mainstream stunt performers to never work without helmets and eye protection. These professionals are paid to compensate for the risks they are taking for our entertainment. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" It looks like the site facts haven't been updated in over half a year. I too am seeing the higher price of $30 a month. (Oddly enough, the trial membership is listed as recurring at $25, after $10 for a 7-day trial.) I don't believe X-Art and Colette share any content. I think it is just an outlet for the same production house to post content too extreme to fit with the X-Art brand. I'd forgotten about the site, to be honest, and this reminder actually sort of makes me want to join it. Maybe in the near future... As for Trials, I personally never do them anymore. Every time I have in the past, I've either ended up with almost no access to the full site, or I've gotten ripped off with some extremely high rebilling that activated before I expected it to. Anyway, hopefully The Best Porn can contact Colette and get us a proper recurring discount for the monthly membership! "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Out of sheer curiousity, what was the year/make/model? I'm always amused to hear about first cars. Mine was a 1996 Toyota Camry, it started with a 120k on it and ended with 280k on it. A good little car that surprised people because it was packing a V6. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Second Grand Order Poobah in the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalo

I'll admit, I spent probably half an hour looking through forest sex scenes trying to find your video, but if it was at all obscure and has been removed due to copyright infringement it may not be available on any of the legal sites. Your only option then would be either hunting down the original copyright holder, if they have it available online, or resorting to torrents (the latter a potentially risky and not recommended option). Neither is going to be feasible without some sort of knowledge of the talent involved or at the very least, the production company. You could email the images to various German pornography production houses and see if a helpful soul recognizes either of the talent, but it is a longshot at best. Good luck! Wow! And here I was all proud of my computer having access to 3TB of storage. Your system makes mine look like a Flintstones creation, haha I guess it is time for me to upgrade (plus I running out of space...) Thanks for the detailed rundown of your research. I would mention, I'm still planning on running Windows 7 for the foreseeable future. I don't like 8, and don't trust 10. Hopefully 11 is the next 7, whenever that happens. I 100% agree with all of this. I actually like a number the things listed by the other posters, but camera noises drive me absolutely bonkers! I've straight up quit watching scenes with some of my favorite performers because of this. The extended masterbation finale is indeed a strange one. It seemed really popular in the mid-2000s gonzo. Not sure what the editors were thinking there. POV can be awesome, but it so rare to find good POV in my experience. My absolute favorite is Czech Spy, as they used non-intrusive camera glasses (like the Google Glass) that let the male talent use both his hands. They were so proud of the tech they often showed him putting it on in a mirror. Sadly, it only filmed in 720p, and they haven't updated in a year now. I keep nagging them though. (Czech AV is one of my favorite networks.) I've seen so many bad POVs though. Strange GoPro head camera attachments that caused the other performers to bend from lens distortion or sometimes they forgot to look at the camera which noticeably above the male talent's eyes, so it made it look like they were really interested in his chin or throat. Or even chest cameras so you felt like a dwarf with normal sized legs and arms. ATK Girlfriends has very nice video quality, but they treat it more like a home sextape rather than pure POV. Sometimes the camera is handed to the female performers so they can film their faces as they receive oral. The worst offense is the few times the camera has been handed to the third party during a threesome, completely destroying all aspects of the fantasy. If anyone knows of a POV site that is as immersive as Czech Spy, please do let me know! "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Second Grand Order Poobah in the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalo

How about American-Pornstar.com? The site looks kinda sketchy, but they seem to be using CCBill, so that's potentially a good sign. Oh the name was very intentional, she absolutely loves pee scenes but hasn't worked with many studios that would allow her to. She talked about it in the Behind Kink video that discussed the studio's plan to start producing pee content. Sadly, it seems the video (and much of their pee content) has been taken down. She's a very interesting pornstar, largely because she has a brain. She is a talented animator and worked for Disney in the past. My personal favorite pornstar name comes from a story I ran across in one of the behind-the-scenes specials on a porn dvd. Apparently this one porn producer had been waiting for years for a new male pornstar to come in without a porn name. This is super rare since most guys love coming up with their own name, one that usually references size or hardness, but this producer had noticed one very obvious name had never been registered and so he was eagerly awaiting that day. It finally happened, and he was able to title the scene: "Starring Misty Sparklez [or whatever her name actually was] and The Penis." "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" ATK introduced tags across all of their sites some years back (I want to say around 2011?) and basically all of the content after the tags were introduced is pretty accurately tagged. Going back into the archives it does get worse and worse the farther back you go. Sadly, almost none of the sites that I have run across have a good system for users to suggest tags. I think VideoBox might have a system for it, but they have apparently given up on updating their site's technology and were wildly unimpressive the last time I joined them. I do use tags a lot on sites that have them, but have also run into the tags being extremely inaccurate most of the time. Even monster sites like Brazzers screw their tags up frequently. JAVHD is another site that tries, but is quite unreliable. I feel like sites just need to have a way for users to suggest a tag (from the list of approved tags) for a video or photoset, and then have the system can automatically notify the admin if something gets linked to the same tag by five different users. This would simply be to avoid the morons that will inevitably tag a video with every single tag just because they love the scene and think everybody should watch it. Though, honestly, it seems like porn sites, like magazines, are finding money in becoming more and more niche based and the all encompassing network sites are going away, so powerful tagging systems might just not be worth the money a web developer would charge to implement them. It's not a good year to be 69 years old and British apparently โ I was truly saddened to hear of Rickman's passing. He was an astonishingly good actor and it is unfortunate that most of the world knows him solely due to his role in the Harry Potter franchise. I was first introduced to him through Die Hard, but he had an impressive range of characters of the years, from period pieces to small budget comedies and everything in-between. My favorite story about him came from Stephen Fry who said that Rickman hated being asked why he played so many villains. Fry and Rickman were attending a mutual friend's birthday party and a small child came up to Rickman and asked him why he played so many "baddies". Rickman leaned down and in that iconic voice of his, responded: "I don't play baddies, I play interesting people."
Noting your location, I must ask: Did you originally watch the French language dubbed version of this movie? Because literally the only other people I've heard of liking that film were friends of my brother's who lived just outside of Paris and were quite horrified when my brother rented an English language Costner film and they heard his real voice. That said, I do like Bull Durham and, oddly, Waterworld, so even Costner has a place in my heart โ albeit a small place. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" If I were going to buy a TV today, it would probably be this one: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Z0IBFYM?qid=1450029488 For a 4k TV, that is super reasonably priced. However, I'm hoping to build a 4K+ projection system in the not to distant future by stacking six 1920x1200 projectors. It should be cheaper than a 4k projector, and many, many magnitudes brighter. It'll just be a pain-in-the-ass to setup at first. For now, I'm stuck with my 24" Dell 4K monitor, but mostly I use that for work. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" 4K is pretty amazing, if you have a system that can handle it. I have the Dell 23.8 Ultra HD 4K (which is quite cheap through Amazon.com's Warehouse Deals) and it is shockingly crisp. I think the pixel density comes in at around 280 ppi, which is quite close to the "retina" ideal of 300 ppi. The issue is that it requires a lot of horsepower to run anything at that resolution. I purchased the monitor so I could have a larger screen to work on with my Macbook Pro 13" Retina, but the mac can barely run the 4k monitor, and it can only do it at 30 fps. So if you are planning on rolling with 4k on a mac or pc, make sure you have a serious graphics card and a powerful rig to handle it. Does the porn look good? This depends hugely on the equipment they are running. Technically the new iPhone 6s can shoot in 4k, so it is becoming pretty commonplace. That said, a lot of HD videos can look a bit muddy because it is shot on cheap equipment. Even using a decent DSLR can lead to bland results if they are using crappy glass. The stock lenses that come with a lot of DSLRs really can't get you the crispness that 4k deserves, and also can end up with a shallow depth of field because the DSLR can't shoot with a high ISO that doesn't make everything look grainy as hell. If they are using a pro-grade DSLR and shooting on prime lenses, then the video can look amazing. Some sites are actually shooting using Epic's RED cameras, they are the sites you want to go to. Those rigs are practically the gold-standard for HD digital video and the crispness from those cameras is mind blowing. Of course, those cameras start at $15k, so not many sites have them. (Their high-end line can shoot 6K at 100 fps!) The short of it is that if you have a scene shot on high-end glass at 4k or above at 60fps or above, and then encoded at 4k 60fps with a high bitrate, it looks photorealistic. You can see every detail and it looks as though you could reach out and touch anything that is in focus. Whether it be an underwater documentary or a closeup of a quivering quim, the images are mesmerizing when shot properly. The detail and accuracy is shocking and is reaching a point where people will soon not be able to tell the difference when detail is increased. 6K really is pretty pointless at home and is really only used in professional movie theaters that might have some fools sitting in the front row and staring at 40 foot screen. I believe all porn sites will be shooting in 4k within 2 or 3 years because all of the video hardware is switching over to shoot it. Hell, there are even drones capable of shooting now. Currently, I'm subscribed to 3 sites that are offering it on some, if not all, of their new videos (ATK Natural & Hairy, ATK Girlfriends, and Czech AV). I was surprised to see that Brazzers hasn't taken the leap yet, but it might simply be that an operation as large as that is cautious about switching to new video hardware. The short of it is, yes, it can be worth it. As with any new technology, results right now can be extremely varied, but if you have the extra cash, a 4K TV would be a reasonable investment. The format isn't going anywhere and a good quality 4k TV that is properly color corrected could easily last you 5 years or more. Or go for a 4k projector, about $8000 on Amazon for a Sony one, and enjoy a 4k 60fps 150" screen. (It better be a dark room though, it only has 1500 lumens.) I hope that helps! Oh no! I'm so late on this one! Khan, you were an enormous reason for the success of this forum over the years. You were always quick to add a little humor, quick to slap a wrist if somebody was getting out of line, and always a source of wise words and great insight. We could always tell if we had a good thread going if you decided to weigh in on it. While I faded away from this forum some years ago, every time I would return, it was comforting to see your username popping up in the threads now and again, with your quiet resolve and good humor. I've been planning on checking out MyPorn whenever it decides to launch, but I'm sure to check out the forums knowing that an old friend will be at the helm of that new ship. Seriously, I don't know what we would have done without you! I guess now we'll find out. I rarely say this to anyone in any profession, but thank you for your years of service. Wow! You picked one of the few threads I apparently have a subscription to. Way to wake up a long silent user! Well, as you know, this topic is near and dear to my heart, despite the fact that it has been many moons since I've reviewed a porn site and my porn purchasing habits tend to be ones of habit. My hours of exploration are a bit behind me and instead I stick to old favorites. I suppose I could do updated reviews for those sites though. Shockingly, Wittyguy's update of my old cheat sheet still rings pretty true. Most of that stuff is things you would want to cover, and little of it needs to be added to. One thing that would need to be addressed is how well a site handles mobile access. Being the cheap bastard I am, I only just updated to a smart phone last December and now I'm very annoyed when my favorite sites don't function well on my phone's tiny screen. I was shocked when I loaded up VideoBox (who used to be a power house of innovation for online porn) and their mobile site was almost unusable and had only part of the catalogue accessible. Modern porn sites need to have a responsive webdesign that will adjust for any screen size. I'm glad to see some sites are now supporting 4K videos โ ATK has been entering this arena โ and streaming it to boot. That's actually been a huge culture change for me. I'm no longer obsessed with downloading. If a site has a good favorites system, especially one that allows me to create my own custom bookmarks with folders, I'm not nearly as concerned with downloading the content. Internet connections have made for high speed streaming a reality, and you aren't seeing as much of the encoding errors that were common place not too many years ago. Sure I still have... 731 GBs dedicated to porn (the ellipses is because I needed to go check), but honestly, I probably watch that only 25% of the time when I'm looking to watch porn. I usually hop onto my flavor-of-the-month site, browse their latest updates, and if I don't find anything, hunt down an old favorite model to rewatch. I probably view maybe 20% of my archive a year. I think it is mostly there as a safety blanket โ and because one of my favorite sites still has a terrible site design. I won't boycott a site for terrible design if they have unique content, but god have I thought about it. Some of the network sites seem to have really gotten a hang on integrating, Met Art seems to be doing a pretty solid job right now. Though there is always room for improvement. While Content is King, site design can really improve the user's day-to-day experience immensely. Modern UX designers are actually actively beta-testing new site designs by having the server throw different experimental designs at different chunks of users, while leaving a percentage of the users on the old site as a control group. They can then use code to watch where the mouse cursor is going as a stand-in for watching eye movement (or where they are tapping on the screen) and can decide to move elements around to more expected locations and so on. Sometimes a simple pop color can make all the difference in user interaction. I'm also more interested in these sites that are trying to enable easy interaction directly between the stars and their fans. I follow one performer on ConnectPal for something small like $7 a month, and I get to see iPhone videos and pictures that she uploads throughout the day. Unfortunately most of the users are filling the comments section with the usual inane shite you expect on porn sites, but it is interesting to see the content provider striped away nearly entirely and letting the models market themselves as they see fit. Of course there has been the usual talk about 3D porn popping up again, with the continual hype surrounding the Oculus Rift, but like most 3D ventures, it seems to be of little benefit and a lot of hassle. Maybe their sort out goggle / glasses-free 3d in the future, but for now I think I'll stick to the ol' reliable two dimensions. I'm glad to see that porn continues to innovate and surprise. While some sites are dying, lots of new sites are popping up each day. With the rise of Porn Hub (not to mention the eventual launch of MyPorn.com), it'll be interesting to see how the content creators and these freebie content providers sort out their roles. It seems we still live in interesting times in porn, and I've no idea what companies are going to stay on top anymore. Cheers and have a good night! "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" I think the overall theme needs to be quality over quantity. I'd rather see a short high definition, great production quality video than get a whole SD run of the mill porno. The same goes for the photos. So if you are setting up a script that automatically aggregates the free content, please make sure it only pulls high resolution content. In regards to movie lengths: Hollywood gets people to go to theaters using movie trailers that last only 2 or 3 minutes. I think Teen Fidelity shows the ideal movie posts, none of the trailers on their front page exceed 3 minutes, all are available in HD and all give an overview of the entire scene, rather than an excerpt from a scene. Maybe the content providers used for MyPorn's movie and photo galleries can be by invite only. As editors, you can an evaluate a site and then provide them with an account if you feel their content is worthy of being included in the MyPorn collection. Their account would be on 1 month probationary period, and every upload would have to be approved by the MyPorn editors to make sure that the videos and photos meet the quality standards during that month. I'm sure regular users would be willing to act as content watchdogs after the probationary period, reporting to you guys if site's uploads suddenly took a turn for the worse. The quality standards could include basic stats like minimum resolutions, but also include subjective requirements like how accurately the preview portrayed the full length scene. This system would make appearing in the MyPorn collection a prestigious placement and also encourage content producers to be more involved with the site. I'd love to see small, innovative, niche content producers getting attention that way. Their presence might also encourage some of the larger producers to step up their game and get out of the rut of producing the same material over and over. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" The new site looks pretty snazzy and I'll keep an eye out for that email whenever the Group A invitations go out. Two things: 1) Will the top bar that connects the various sub-sites float for easy access? (i.e. the Nubile Films menu bar) 2) Will there be a mobile version or will the site be responsive, enabling it to adjust to any screen size? Also: Welcome back Cybertoad! I've recently gotten more interested in sites that feature unscripted and/or self-videotaped sex scenes for the very reason of seeing models that are actually aroused rather than playing the part. While common belief is that vaginal secretion is the best indicator of arousal, it really isn't. As jberryl69 pointed out, you can look for neck and chest flushing, though the visibility of this varies for individuals (skin color aside, some people blush more than others). Interestingly, usually a better indicator is that both the nose and lips contain erectile properties and will enlarge and flush during arousal (the ears will also flush). Often times when one sees users complaining about "sick" girls needlessly performing sex scenes and citing the red nose, lips and excess saliva as evidence - they may actually be witnessing a truly aroused performer. Those are only some of the more obvious indicators of arousal. Desensitivity to pain is another good indicator. Mary Roach wrote a hilarious and informative book that covers this subject entitled: "Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex". I highly recommend it. As for videos with genuinely aroused women, I recommend CzechAV - they have Czech Mega Swingers and Czech Amateurs. ATK's new site ATK Girlfriends also features some genuine arousal scenes as well. Oh, I've just been lurking, don't mind me. I haven't had the free time lately to write my old style e-novel comments, and I only check into the forum probably once or twice a week at this point. I'll still keep an eye on the forums, just to make sure everybody is still up to no good. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Second Grand Order Poobah in the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalo

I think Khan summed it up pretty well. When I was actively doing reviews, I tried to review each and every site on a network. This can be incredibly time consuming, however, and it becomes increasingly difficult to say something new about the site. It is in that regard that I really do not envy the 4 reviewers of TBP in their jobs. These days, my viewpoint toward reviews has changed a bit. I used to place much import on getting down the technical details about the site, but frankly, TBP and other sites handle that pretty well. Now I'm more interested in reviews that talk about the experience of being a member of the site, an editorial, essay style review rather than a laundry list of specifications. The Pros / Cons are still a good place to slap some technical data and give a quick summary of the review, but the "Bottom Line" is really were the meat of the review should be for me. So in that context, I feel reviewers should focus on sites that they have a specific opinion about. Unless the site is so important that it would seem strange to not talk about it. Looking at movie reviews, I would forgive a movie reviewer for reviewing Disney's Aladdin, but skipping the direct to video sequels. Similarly, I'd forgive a reviewer for reviewing a network site and 5 sites within that network that they particularly liked/hated but skipping the 19 remaining sites that they were rather ambivalent toward. I would expect a brief mention of those 19 in the review of the main network site. I also wouldn't be surprised if the text of that review directed readers to the other 5 site-specific reviews rather than covering those sites in depth within that review as well. I'm not hugely interested in reviews from people that have no interest in the content at any level. You won't ever see me reviewing a foot fetish site - it bores me and other than telling you about the technical details, I don't think my opinion of the content would be helpful at all. I will never hold it against a reviewer for sticking to niches that they enjoy. I do believe that one should always explore and constantly redefine the boundaries of their interests, but that is just an interesting way to live and not something I'd impose on others. It goes along with: The unexamined life is not worth living. and Vivir con miedo es como vivir a medias. (Translated: "A life lived in fear is a life half lived.") But I digress. Anyway, review the sites that most interest you and leave the rest to a footnote, that is my recommendation. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Once again, Canada is ahead of the U.S. on social issues. As an American, I sort of wish that weren't always the case, but it makes you guys a good neighbor to have. Now if we just legalized drugs, we'd be able to relieve Mexico of much of its troubles and we could stop having a stupid wall on our southern border. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" I'm glad the military is getting more and more progressive and the men and women of the military don't have to live a lie as frequently. I also hope they are in less and less armed conflicts; but when they are, I hope they all come home safely. The below is shown strictly for reference. I misread Khan's initial post as saying that Monday (the 12th) was Veterans Day and added this note in my post in response. Whoops, I'm the idiot.

Yeah, if you are distracted by the actor's looks, it is very hard to take their character seriously. I had trouble getting over Daniel Craig's looks as he presents as a thug to me. Sort of like those low-level gangsters who've got the money for the Armani suit, but never look comfortable in it.
It is tough accepting a new actor in an old role sometimes, and I do forget that Bond hadn't had that history yet when Lazenby took the helm. I did want to point out that Lazenby's Bond was only married at the very end of the film. [SPOILER WARNING] Bond is removing the wedding decorations from the Aston Martin when Blofeld drives up and shoots the car to pieces. So he had plenty of time to fool around with the ladies prior to the wedding.
Perhaps his Bond would have gained traction with the audiences after more than one movie - and I damn Lazenby for fearing type-casting and not accepting the studio's contract. They were eager as the movie did quite well, though not as amazingly well as some of the other Bonds; it's $7 million budget it earned a gross of $82 million. It certainly took me a few movies to warm to Brosnan and I only really loved his performance in his fourth and final film. I'm only now slightly warming to Craig's Bond. Maybe the fourth and fifth films will recapture Bond's suave humor to the fullest. I liked him in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, he was quite good in that, so sometimes he can act well... Anyway, thanks for indulging my curiosity about the animosity toward Lazenby's Bond. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Second Grand Order Poobah in the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalo

Ok, I'm curious - why would you both say Lazenby was the worst Bond? My personal theory is that people dislike the movie (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) largely because it has a very depressing finale, and then they just push that dislike onto Lazenby as well. I would argue that the movie, despite its downer ending, featured some of the best acting and the best balance between humor and drama of all of the films. Lazenby himself captured the same amused detachment that Sean Connery introduced, but added to Sean Connery's performance with more range as an actor as well as more range as an athlete as he was a martial arts instructor. I love Connery, but he is a living caricature - Craig Ferguson famously describes Connery's acting ability as wearing different hats (There, now I'm a Russian submarine commander - should be happy I'm in your damn movie!). Connery is a character actor that was perfectly cast for 007, but he frankly has less acting ability than the majority of my favorite character actors. Lazenby gave us the first emotional Bond until Daniel Craig, and I thought he handled it better. He gave us the most athletic Bond until the movies started going insanely action-y starting with Dalton. He was one of the most suave and whoreish of the Bonds, I think he beds like 10 women in that one movie. He manages to make a kilt sexy. I'll admit the Bond car is a bit boring in that movie - but it does have a few fun gadgets, just not the cars. That said, it has a pretty good chase scene in the snow. Not to mention the classic skiing style chase scene that every Bond must tryout at some point. If you haven't seen the movie in a long time, re-watch it. I think you will find it is far better than you remember - he may not be your favorite Bond, but I doubt you'll come away saying he was the worst Bond. (That obviously goes to Woody Allen, but then I'm not a massive Woody Allen fan. David Niven though is a contender for the best too...) Hell, the movie also starred the great Diana Rigg - who breathed life into The Avengers all those years ago. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" I personally thing George Lazenby was the best Bond, followed very closely by Sean Connery and then trailing a ways in the back is Pierce Brosnan (he really learned what it is to be Bond in his final film). Moore was fun, but was a bit too goofy and not really enough Bond. He really kept playing "The Saint" instead of adopting a Bond persona. When first introduced to his version in Casino Royale, I absolutely loathed Daniel Craig's Bond - way too Jason Bourne. He improved in the Quantum of Solace, but is still very, very far from that suave, detached and amused Bond that Sean Connery laid the groundwork for. That said, Skyfall is supposed to be much more Bond-ified. For example, he adjusts his cuffs mid chase sequence. That's a good bit of class there. I agree that Dalton was far too serious as well - and he must have been directed as such, for example: See his performance in Hot Fuzz. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" I completely forgot about that, lol It has been awhile since I've seen the movie. That was really peculiar - not as peculiar as Behind The Green Door, but definitely a wee bit distracting. It is almost as if it was a porn predecessor to Airplane and similar farcical, absurdist straight-faced comedies. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Please tell me one of the Michael Jackson selections you use is Beat It, it just so damn fitting. (I'd almost be tempted to include some of the shots from the music video into the scene, sort of turn the porn scenes into extensions of the music videos.) Frank Zappa does have some great tracks that would really fit.
I suppose if you keep the videos around for a long time, dramatically increasing the appeal of the video with a few hours of work makes good sense. Out of curiosity, which editing program do you use? I'm frequently trying to decide between a program with vastly too many options versus ones that are crippled by too much simplicity. I loved the old Windows XP Movie Maker, but the Windows 7 one is just way too simplistic. Then there is Adobe Premier Pro which I just haven't been willing to sit down and learn... Usually you can tell the TV to adjust the content to fit the screen with a Zoom, Stretch, Zoom-crop, et cetera. Often they have a Picture Size button, frequently shortened to P.Size, or sometimes it will be within the Aspect Ratio selection. At any rate, your remote control should have a specific button to address this issue. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Second Grand Order Poobah in the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalo

Not being an expert on networking nor for that matter on how cable companies handle their own network, but my understanding is this: Rebooting the modem is not done so much to adjust anything specific within the modem, for as you mentioned, the software in the modem isn't wildly sophisticated and it is also using flash memory, not RAM (or god forbid a traditional platter hard drive), though I must say I've seen great changes in performance rebooting my router - but it is 10+ years old so it may indeed have serious problems. At any rate, the impression I get is that rebooting your modem is instead causing the cable company to effectively reboot its connection with you, so you are in a sense forcing a reboot on their end, fixing whatever problems that crept up within their side of the network. I personally have seen dramatic performance boosts after a cable modem warm reboot and similarly with DSL modem warm reboot. Also, I have been told to reboot the modem by hand by technicians from the cable company when problems arouse - despite their ability to do so remotely, so a complete power down (which they cannot do remotely) presumably has some advantage, unless it is the typical superstitious behavior that creeps into nearly every computer user at some level. Apparently the conversion costs are low enough that studios are glad to take the risk for the payouts they've seen with previous conversions. Specifically, Titanic was converted for $18 million and as a result made an additional $342 million. A 19:1 profit margin is going to turn any studio's head. I think we are going to be seeing a lot more of these for a while unless the bottom falls out of the 3D thing... again. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!" Wow, you put a lot of time in post-post-production on your porn. I must that admit that I'm sometimes disheartened at the seeming lack of post-production work done on some porn videos. I know profit margins are narrow and they are trying to kick the content out of the door, but sometimes simple things like removing the background buzz you mentioned seems like it should be reflexive. When adding wholly new music (rather than splicing / duplicating the video's own music) do you have a genre or style that you prefer? I personally avoid vocals in any language I can understand as it tends to distract a bit from the content if I'm watching the porn for any form of erotic interest. From an intellectual curiosity standpoint, watching a gangbang scene scored with Louis Armstrong hits can be rather entertaining though pretty un-erotic as a result. Thanks! Email sent. In regards to "an idea what taste you use", if you are referring to my musical tastes I listen to just about anything. A professor once described me as having the most eclectic musical tastes of any person he'd ever known. I often listen to Pandora on Shuffle, which currently includes my following custom stations: Asylum Street Spankers Radio: A bit country, a lot folksy and sort of psycho-billy, a lot satire in a Tom Lehre-esque way but with a bit less rhyming. Features other artists like Bradley N. Litwin and Austin Lounge Lizards. Blossom Dearie Radio: She was a pop jazz singer who was popular mostly in the 50s and 60s. Other popular female jazz singers from the era also show up on the station, like the great Nina Simone. Boswell Sister Radio: They're sort of like the Andrew Sisters, but older and better, very popular in the 30s. This station is mostly designed to highlight female close-harmony singing, so it also features content by the Puppini Sisters and others (including some of the Andrew Sisters too of course). Brazilian Girls Radio: Electronic Dance music with vocals with a lot of multi-cultural fusion - tango, chanson, house, reggae, lounge, et cetera. The female lead sings in multiple languages. Features content also from Pacha Massive, Thievery Corporation and others. Cassandra Wilson Radio: She is a current Jazz vocalist and the station features other good current female Jazz vocalists like Connie Evingson, Ingrid Lucia, Diana Krall, et cetera. Crooner Radio: I made this station to play Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Bobby Darin and the rest of the other classic Crooners. Dean Martin is still by far the best in my opinion (and far superior to the much adored Sinatra). Don Omar Radio: Don Omar is a big figure in Reggaeton and this station basically features hits in that category. Also features AKWID, Hector 'El Father', Daddy Yankee and others. Gotan Beat Reactor: Your standard ethnically influenced house music station seeded from Gotan Project, Balkan Beat Box and Juno Reactor plus others like C-Mon & Kypski (possibly the best of the group). I Monster Radio: I ran across this group through the movie Shawn of the Dead and ran out and bought their 2003 album, Neveroddoreven. They are a British electronic music group and are rather all over the map, even more so than C-Mon & Kypski. About all you can guarantee from their music is that it will be electronically manipulated. Consequently this station is rather far reaching with featured bands like Jem and Portishead. Lila Downs Radio: She is one of my favorite Mexican-American musicians who does a lot of music that is heavily inspired by her Mexican routes, but she is writing new music not just performing traditional songs. Her song writing suffered for a while after she had beaten her alcoholism (as twisted as that sounds but it is true) but she is back and as good as ever! The station also features music from the great, depressing and sadly quite late Lhasa de Sela as well as the lively Manu Chao and more. Marianne & Clare Radio: Featuring a mix of Marianne Faithfull and Clare Fader, artists with similar style yet separated by a generation. Both are accomplished song writers and both have a sense of humor that meshes well with a strange tone of sadness and disillusion the pervades their work. Not as saddening as Lhasa's work, but oddly depressed none-the-less. Rachid Taha Radio: The Algerian singer is a living legend in France and always provides a wonderful mix of Arabic influenced pop-rock-punk-electro music. Symphony No. 7 Radio: My newest station, replacing my old Orchestral station that was featuring too many pieces written for quartets or simply the piano, this station is not surprisingly named for Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A that I previously mentioned. Features work by Sergey Prokofiev, Gustav Holst, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Hans Werner Henze, Georges Bizet, Hector Berlioz and many, many more. Th' Legendary Shack Shakers Radio: My Psycho-Billy channel, featuring mostly Th' Legendary Shack Shakers (my favorite band in the genre) but also a healthy dose of Dog Fashion Disco to really mix things up a bit (I have no idea what genre they'd fit into, especially with all of their pageantry). In short, if you name a genre I probably can name a few favorite artists of mine that fit into it. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"
