Came across it just now, claims to be the Netflix of Porn with content from loads of well-known studios. Reading the Ts and Cs (they're in German so had to translate Edge browser functionality) it not clear whether the content is streaming only or also download. TBH it looks a bit iffy to me and it's not listed on PU or TBP, just wondering what others think or may have found? | |

Yeah it's a pretty juvenile thing to do, but what the heck. I thought it'd be pretty easy. First I put together a top 10, then that expanded to a top 20, then 30, then 40 before finally plumping for a top 50. A top 100 would've been too much. The problem was that I'd shortlisted 60-70 ladies and with the help of an Excel spreadsheet, whittled it down to 50. It took much longer than expected, my selection process being something like: 1. "She was in that amazing scene that I keep coming back to, but her other scenes are so-so" 2. "She's in a lot of scenes, many of which I like" 3. "Her content is very hot but really old and I haven't watched it in ages" Applying process 2 gave me an initial top 10 or so, but then applying process 1 inserted a few into that top 10 which then become a top 15. Applying process 3 yielded the lower-ranking babes at which point I realised that there are a number of French pornstars who I love but then decided this would be a list of pornstars who feature across a range of sites and not just a few French-only sites, so the French ladies were dropped except for one who features in mainstream MILF sites. But then I rememembered a German MILF named BiJenny whose videos I watch regularly, then also there's that Russian MILF Elaine (or Elena), both of whose content I only ever see on tube sites and could never find the original source of their scenes so I decided to discount them also. Which leaves me with a top 50 list of porn stars who feature in a range of pay-sites, most are Euro-babes but there are a few US babes there. I'll post the list in a reply to this thread. So who here is willing to admit to compiling a list of favourite porn starlets? Or will start doing one now?  | |

You can bet that if the majority (or all) porn sites move to a streaming-only model with no options for downloads at all, then the software development community will come up with slick tools for capturing and downloading video streams, not that such tools aren't aready available but they're clunky and don't always work. | |

The only way a web site could detect a download manager is if there are multiple connections from the same IP address downloading different files simultaneously. If possible, you should configure your DL manager so that only one file is downloaded at a time with no concurrent downloads. Yeah, it kinda defeats the object of a DL manager but mine allows me to export all the file info to import into a spreadsheet, so I have a list of filenames, sizes, the URL they were downloaded from, all useful info. | |

In 2021 I'm currently using: 1. IrfanView image viewer (it also does file format conversions, batch renames and more). 2. VLC Media player, it plays almost anything you throw at it and supports subtitle files (.SRT) which at least one porn site provides as a download option. It also makes getting screen captures a doddle. 3. For Download Manager Photos and videos I use DownThemAll browser extension, though I'm using the older more functional version on an older/compatible version of Firefox browser. Yes, it's more vulnerable to malware but I'm careful and have a good antivirus package that I keep up to date. 5. File Management Tool, I used to use XYplorer (got it free on a magazine cover disc) and it's great, but I now use Directory Opus (aka DOPUS), which is by far and away _the_ best file manager out there. It provides loads of features (which most people won't need) but for anyone who likes to customize their collection of downloaded content, it'll provide all the functionality you need. DOPUS is expensive though, but if you can wait, ther's always a 40% discount in the New Year so if you download the trial version and like it, purchase a license when the sale is on in January. | |

I have a large number of downloaded video files which are about 50% larger than they need be, usually due to the fact that they're encoded at excessive bit rates, in this case 1080p videos encoded at 12Mbps where 8Mbps is plenty enough. I have software such as Any Video Converter and Movavi Video Converter which allow you to recode video files to a different file format and/or a smaller bit rate, but I find them to be slow on my ageing PC. I was wondering if anyone here has used similar software which works fast on a new or fairly new PC? I'm hopefully going to invest in a powerful desktop PC later this year and it'd be good to know what works well and/or makes full use of the multiple cores of modern CPUs and graphics cards. I organise my downloaded files by network with a folder for the network and depending on how the downloaded files are named, I might have further separate sub-folders. When I download a scene I'll add it to the site's favourites list or to some other "collection" feature such as those provided by sites like bang.com Recently I've started writing scripts to scrape scene info and thumbnails for the site which I save in a spreadsheet, and the same script gets the downloaded scene files from my hard drive and matches them up to the downloaded scene info. Like LKLK, I use voidtools' Everything utility to locate files on my hard drive if I don't recall exactly where they are. Another useful utility is MediaInfo - I use it to extract information such as encoding bit-rate from my downloaded scene files - that way I can see which files are encoded with a larger bitrate than necessary and if there are a few of these then I'll use Movavi Video Converter to recode them to lower bitrates whilst still maintaining sharp quality. MediaInfo extracts all sorts of info from audio and video files and is pretty much indispensible to me. And it's free. MediaInfo is a Windows GUI app but can also be called and automated from a command-line script so I incorporate it into my script so as to process my downloaded scenes to provide info like video duration, bit-rate etc. I'm a bit of a tech-geek so the web-scraping scripting is usually fun, though it relies on Internet Explorer which doesn't work reliably with many sites so it's sometimes a challenge using it for web-scraping via a script. Rather than buying external hard-drives, I just buy internal 3.5" drives (they're faster then 2.5" external drives) and drop it into a disk caddy which reads and writes to the disk at USB3 speeds. For downloading I use an old version of Firefox which is setup not to auto-update and works with an old version of the DownThemAll browser extension which can export all the information for downloaded files to a text-file which my script reads so that downloaded files. their detailed technical info and the associated web-scraped scene info are all tied together with a spreadsheet produced to hold all the info. When I join a porn site I'm always interested in downloading content so's I can watch it offline and long after my subscription has expired but I'm curious as to how others here consume porn site content? Do you download scenes you like and if so, do you capture the details of the scene somehow? For example, do you save the downloaded video file named using the actors name, scene title and release date, or do you go further and have a spreadsheet into which you copy and paste full details about the scene along with the downloaded filename? I'm curious because I used to just download the scene and name the file with the actors name, but more recently I've taken to actually web-scraping the details from the scene pages of the site, which some folk may think is a bit obsessive, but hey that's just me | |

I mind how much I pay and usually seek out a discount from one of the porn discount sites, but if one isn't forthcoming after many months, then I'll take the plunge at full price but that's been the case for me with only one site (oldje.com) that I joined for a month during which they offered me a 33% discount on their sister site which I also took. There's a site I was interested in that cost $84.95 and somehow I found a discount for $19.95 on the site itself, just by googling, so that was a no-brainer. Another site I've had my eye on is $39.85 as I'd seen some content from it here and there and it was pretty hot, but after spending some time going through all scene listings in the free/tour part of the site, decided it wasn't worth even searching or waiting for a discount offer. Most external 3.5" drives I've come across are pretty crappy as far as the connectors and case are concerned. The WD and Seagate drives I've ordered in the past have had flimsy and small power and USB connectors that I reckon wouldn't withstand much plugging in and unplugging. And if the cables or interface fail, getting the actual bare drive out of the case if more likely to result in you breaking the case and possibly damaging the drive inside. If you're handy with a screwdriver I'd recommend buying a bare 2.5" or (better) 3.5" drive along with an external drive enclosure such as one from Orico (on Amazon website) and put the drive into the enclosure yourself. Then you'll have a better quality external disk case with robust power connectors and a USB3-A-B lead of decent length rather than the very short dual micro-USB you'll get otherwise. | |

So now an even bigger issue. I've replied to Tom S Admin's post in the announcements to ask if the gift card can be withdrawn and an Amazon.co.uk one issued for the same USD amount but I've heard nothing back yet. That goal and a hands-off policy is going to mean that members from outside the US have less incentive and are less likely to submit reviews because the raffle prizes will be Amazon.com gift cards which are near-worthless to anyone outside the US. In the distant past I've received Amazon UK gift card raffle prizes from PU after requesting as such from the PU admin, but these days I'm stuck with an Amazon.com gift card and repeated emails and a forum post to the PU Admin have gone ignored. | |

From what I've read in Tom's postings in these forums about the raffle, if a PU member has say, 50 raffle "tickets" then his/her name will be input into the list of names 50 times, along with all the other members names appearing once per ticket awarded to them. The list of names containing multiple lines of the same member name is then copied and pasted into the random name picker which is used to draw the raffle winners. My question is: is that list shuffled before submission to the random name picker? If not then I'm guessing the list will contain - referencing the current tally - 173 lines of Homegirl, then 35 lines of markdc1, followed by 28 lines for Pinkerton, 24 lines for exotics4me and so on for all the remaining member entries in order of the tally updated by Tom and/or PU admins for the next draw, with the groups of duplicate names/entries all grouped together. An unshuffled list of raffle entries makes a massive difference to the randomness of the raffle, as I've found through testing both the shuffled list and block list of names. I hope this doesn't come across as critical of the current process, I'm just trying to be helpful. If a tool for shuffling entries is needed, here's a useful one for doing just that, I'm sure others are also available. | |

When clicking on the visit site link from the PU review page for DDF Network, then clicking on the join button from the site, there’s a list of membership options ranging from lifetime, yearly, 3 month, month and so on, but there are two options for monthly membership, one at $9.99 and one at $19.99 - obviously I’d choose the $9.99 option but am wondering if that’s a restricted membership, such as limited downloads or streaming only? Unless you have broadband internet access that provides upload speeds well above 100Mbps, then using the Cloud isn't a realistic option unless you're willing to wait many months for your terabytes of porn to upload to cloud backup. As already mentioned in this thread, you need to back up your collection to backup disks but do you then backup your backup disks? Obviously the answer is 'yes' but doing that can be a huge expense. I have my collections over the years stored on various disks that I no longer frequently use, so for example, I've upgraded a few internal HDDs on my desktop PC and used those HDDs for porn storage and I now have a number of "old" HDDs storing my porn which I don't store locally any longer than a few months. Obviously I should backup those old HDDs to be on the safe side but I guess a cost effective option would be to invest in one large HDD and go through my collection across those old disks and backup those that are particular favourites. The question for me is: how long will a bunch of old HDDs retain data for whilst stored in a box in my attic? | |

There's a lotta content on AdultTime but I have a lot if it already from previous memberships of sites like Devils Film and 21 Sextury so the only interesting new content for me is the 21Sextreme and 21Naturals stuff. For anyone building up their collection, AdultTime is a great place to start, even for the older non-HD content. | |

I got it when I joined 21sextreme via a discount link which ended up costing me $9.99 + 20% tax cos I'm in the UK, so maybe the beta AdultTime site is the discount payoff. It's not bad, the site is well designed but there are a few rough edges to be ironed out, esp with the mobile site which doesn't allow you to browse all the content but just the scenes that are latest, recommended for you and trending. Oh and the playlist feature doesn't work properly unless you maximise your browser window and even then, clicking on a playlist item takes you to the video scene but only streams it, with no option to download or view the photos; also the scene description doesn't update as you click on the playlist thumbnails. I've also experienced a number of issues streaming and downloading scenes which can only be resolved by closing the browser and restarting it - not a deal breaker but hassle nonetheless. One thing I did notice is that I didn't receive a membership confirmation email and when I cancelled my membership didn't receive a confirmation of that either. Could be that I registered with an incorrect email address, but I guess I'll hopefully find out when I contact support to find out what's going on. I'm making notes on this site with a view to doing a review of it, but if it's not listed in TBP/PU then I can't, and given that it's a beta site it might be months before it's non-beta and ready for use as a fully-fledged mega-site, with content from 21Sextury sites, Devils Film, Fame Digital, Fantasy Massage, Girlsway, Pretty Dirty, Pure Taboo, Rocco Siffredi, Vivid - a total of just over 46000 scenes dating back to over 10 years ago. If you don't want to install NodeJS on your machine, if you're running Windows on your PC you could use CScript to run a javascript file but it might need a bit of tweaking | |
