-Model is not hosting chats currently. According to forum posts, she used to in the past but stopped at least 6 months ago.
-She used to be very active in the forums (1.5 posts per day) getting feedback from members. Fewer posts in 2008. None in the last couple months.
-Rather low average resolutions in videos and images.
-News, diary not updated since end of 2006 (although it seems updates stopped because of "lack of interest" by site members).
-Technical issues (but responsive customer service):
--member's area link at signup confirmation page pointed to a blank page;
--site was down (blank page) for 2 days;
--broken links: some galleries, chat (some times), extras gone (games, porn feeds);
--cancelling feedback was not clear enough: had to email customer service to confirm;
--candids section was wiped out by a "server issue" 6 months ago, hasn't come back. |

I didn't know about the model until recently and the impossible and uninformative tour required a leap of faith on my side to join (and a strong desire to see more of her good looks).
When I was finally able to enter the members' area, I felt like the party had just stopped. Reading the forums, it seems that Crystal Klein is very outgoing and that her live chats were very worth attending. The site also had the kind of interaction every solo model site should offer. It's a pity all of it ended eventually and the current Crystal Klein updates are so few (although she is actively shooting new ones).
If I had come across it a year ago, I would have seriously considered staying for some time but, the way it is now, staying for more than a month isn't worth it despite the low price.
Photo galleries are still top quality and the recent ones are few but good and at decent resolutions. It seems that, being managed by Danni.com, they have access to their elaborate sets and are currently shooting there the updates. There are also many good outdoor shoots but also the usual ones at "nudie houses".
The technical issues, though, are hard to understand coming from a site managed by Danni.com / Penthouse. In fact, I was told that it had been delisted at PU/TBP until recently because more people also had the same signup issues. In case they still haven't solved them, make sure you use the home page link to enter the members' area and contact their tech support if anything else arises. |

-A couple of recent solo videos at 1280x720, 4000kbps. Other recent girl-girl ones at 400x300, 1600kbps.
-Alternate formats in videos prior to 2006 (quicktime, lower resolutions)
-40 candids galleries, 20 videos (most, dating back to 2001-2005). 10 new candids galleries in 2008.
-At least one weekly chat at 1ModelCam Network (also access to other models' chats: Jelena Jensen, Natasha Yi, Felicia Tang are active).
-Some of the chat hours are Europe friendly (10:00 AM PST on the weekend); others are not (6:00 PM PST).

-Keep an eye on the checkboxes you find during the checkout process (billing provider: epoch). You are "offered" trial memberships to other sites at least a couple times.
-Very low resolutions. Only a couple of the most recent galleries at 1000x750 go over the usual 850x530. Found a couple of galleries at 450x300.
-Old videos have quite low resolution (320x240, 600kbps).
-Some of the content comes from other sites (Danni.com, Marquis Models, Suze Randall). Some pictures with additional Nikki Nova watermarks.
-Site design is very old and not well organized. Lots of content from 2001 to beginning of 2006. Few is recent (5 galleries, 10 videos in 2008; about the same ammount in 2007).
-No zipsets.
-Chat technology is somewhat old. JPEG push, java chat applet. Decent audio and very short delay, though. |

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Nikki Nova was still active in the business. The last thing I remembered about her was that she had an accident during a shoot in 2005 and was facing a long recovery period. She seems to have made a full recovery and looks as good as ever even though she's been through a very rough patch and is now 36. She seems to be interested in improving the product that she is currently offering and is trying to get a new more involved webmaster.
If you are interested in Nikki Nova, you probably were a member in the past of her site and might have seen most of the content. There were some low resolution picture updates a couple of months ago and new Nikki Nova videos are currently being released (a couple this month). Currently, the main attraction seems to be the videos, the live chats and having some interaction with her. The recent girl-girl and solo videos are quite good too despite the somewhat low resolution of some. The site definitely needs to get more new exclusive content on a more regular basis to make it worth staying.
The average quality of the other sites in the network, though, is zero. They stopped updating in 2005 and have only 20+ low resolution galleries each and zero video content. This is the only site that is still alive, even though the design probably hasn't changed in 7 years and most of the content shows its age in the low resolution although Nikki Nova is one of the best glamour models ever. |

I had access to the site via another one in the network a couple of weeks ago. If you've never been a member of any site of this network, access for one month is very much worth trying for the quantity alone.
I'm sorry I didn't download any content neither I remember exactly how much there was. You will get access to other sites in the network (Glamour Models Gone Bad alone has lots of content) and you will probably get more Charlie Laine galleries and videos than anywhere else. I'd say it's much more like Shay Laren or Lisa A Daniels sites than Club Anita or Jesse Capelli.
I was disappointed with the sheer amount of nonsense and false promises the website tours of this network's show but I do remember this particular one seemed to live up somewhat to the expectations. I'm pretty sure content was being updated currently (probably no more than a weekly update, though) and the model's diary seemed to be for real; so, some kind of interaction with the model might be possible though I sincerely doubt that the promised live shows ever took place.

The problem in this case (and many others) is that there's no way to tell whether the model has retired from the industry and the site is just some extra cash she gets monthly from uncautious surfers or she is actively shooting new updates for a site she has a real interest in.
Updates have been appearing recently but: is it something that was shot last month or two years ago? Other sites in the network have (or used to have) a diary by the model; I don't think it would be so difficult to add one here and create an entry from time to time saying that she has shot some new scenes for her site or that she is, in fact, alive and kicking in the industry.

Technically speaking, there's nothing bad with this site. Average resolutions are the highest I personally have come across.
On the other hand, I am not really into the model (so many tattoos and piercings aren't my thing) and I found that the videos were specially repetitive. If the model masturbates in the exact same way in a slightly different bed or couch and you get the same gynecological zooms, all videos end up looking the same.
The photo galleries aren't that repetitive (probably some of them aren't exclusive or were shot prior to this site launch), although I feel that more hardcore boy-girl videos would let members see what she's really good at.
All in all, I felt the site lacked personality. There's no way to tell if it's Julia Bond's official site or a site that has many high-resolution mediocre content on her. If you are into the model, you will probably enjoy the content although you shouldn't expect it to be extraordinarily creative or diverse.
On a side note, TBP express review says that there have been no videos in months but 4 have been published since March. It seems, though, that there was a hiatus between November and March, where no updates took place. |

There are 50 girl-girl galleries where a dildo or some fingering is usually present. I didn't check the videos but I believe it's usually the same. Most of them are solo, though.
I've created a new comment to highlight that the site hasn't been updated in years and how misleading the tour is.

Thanks for the Planet Anita heads up. I believe it should have almost the same content and at the same resolutions that eventually appear at Club Anita. Someone at the Club Anita forums complained, though, that Planet Anita had much more BTS/personal material than Club Anita. It certainly has a real diary updated more often and with more meaningful entries although it is already available in the free section.
Planet Anita, at least, doesn't try to fool you in the website tour: I feel that what you get once you join is what you see in the free section.
Very few of the Glamour Models Gone Bad are alive and kicking and the website tours are specially misleading: they look super cool and promise great content and interaction with the model but, once inside, you get a very old looking design, questionable quality and the promised interaction with the model is a bad joke. Apart from the ones you say, Club Charlie (Charlie Laine) still seems to live up to the promises.

That could make things worse and the site might not have received more than a handful of updates in 4 years. That could explain also why most videos are MPEG. I am not familiar with the model and I had never seen any of the galleries so I couldn't really tell what year exactly they were taken.
I assumed most of the content had been uploaded together in 2006 because one of the latest galleries was from her "new movie"; I looked up the title and it had been released in 2006. All the preceding updates had almost the same day and month and that's why I thought they all might be part of the original content.
Anyway, whether they are from 2004 or 2006, anyone joining should not expect any recent content.

I didn't purchase a direct membership to this site but could enter with my membership from another site in the network. It's unlikely that membership specific for this site should get additional content or higher quality than I got.
This is not the only official site of Anita Dark. A forum message by an admin claims that this and Planet Anita are owned by her but are "marketed in different ways". Planet Anita lists the same updates in the free section but released up to a couple of months before they appear here. Delays for photo sets are somewhat smaller. All videos here sport planetanita.com watermarks.
No complaint about the artistic results. Some of the galleries are specially well shot and Anita Dark is a real beauty and knows her job. It's good to have so many girl-girl galleries too. Access to the network is also a plus.
The average resolution of the content is too low. Video resolution is unacceptable nowadays. The music on the ones I checked was specially annoying. Picture a gorgeous model slowly undressing from a babydoll while you hear no ambient sound but a speeded up techno version of Tubular Bells. It doesn't get you in the mood.
Those interested in Anita Dark will get lots of good low resolution galleries and some tiny videos but absolutely no interaction with her. Hard to become friends this way. Check also Planet Anita; there are no promises to befriend a beauty but you'll get, at least, a real diary and some interaction with her. |

Quite different to Anna Malle's site (site not listed at PU, btw). She died in a car accident in January 2006. The site still accepts new signups (45USD for 2 months recurring) but the homepage consists mainly of a note on her death and several condolence and remembrance texts from industry people. The note on her death was there almost from the day she died.
IMHO, that's the decent way to do things. Someone may still want to see the content but the site is also a tribute to her and her work.

I never watch anything pre-2000s. Late 90s at most. If I know the model is deceased, I also know the cause of it and it's not likely it was old age at her home surrounded by her loved ones. I might enjoy watching some content but it's hard to get out of my mind how she died.

It would be wise when choosing a stage name to make sure there aren't 1,000,000 results on google for your new name and that the .com domain is not taken. Adding a surname (even if it's a common one) is a must.
It's very frustrating when you try to find more of the work from a new model and you realize she chose the same name as some TV anchor woman or a shoe brand and you are faced with thousands of unrelated results. It's even worse when another adult model already has it.
Securing your domain name from the start should also be a top priority. It only costs a few bucks. A model's name is her brand. What serious company would choose a brand without securing the associated domain first? If the domain name is taken, I'd suggest choosing another name.

I used to do what you suggest in the past but, that way, you don't get the original file: possible quality loss, different file name, etc.
I don't know if what this site does with the galleries qualifies as a "legitimate security feature" so I'll just say that an image can be legitimately saved to disk by several means (I used one of the less usual ones in order to get image specs without losing a lot of time with screen captures).
Whoever invented zip file gallery download should be inducted to webmaster hall of fame.

This site does technically wrong its main (and currently only) goal: the photo galleries. It could be understandable for a free personal model profile site to prevent people downloading sample images. But this decision on a pay site in 2008 is hard to support.
The CMS (content management system) seems to be used on other sites by RT Web Designs. It looks like this site uses one of the most basic setups (others offer video, better diary options or chatrooms), but all sites seem to share the same photo gallery system. I'd expect similar trouble at those sites' galleries.
On the other hand there's nothing bad about the content. Very little is exclusive but it comes from quality sites like Penthouse or Danni.com and interesting photographers like Misha (from Misha Online) and Lisa Boyle (Flaunt Girls). There are some very good galleries (although also available at other sites).
The model also tries to make the most out of the options she has at hand, keeping a daily update on her work (in the free section) and posting new galleries and samples a couple of times a week.
Despite my low rating, I'd still recommend it to anyone who wants to sample Laura Lee's work but doesn't want to join the 3-4 sites she has worked for so far. I'd also give it some time: current options are limited, but the CMS seems quite flexible and adding video, a chatroom, better diary options or zip sets seems feasible. Adding more exclusive content would also benefit the site's attractive. |
