If I really like a site I could, and would, make sure I renew it myself. If I forget to renew, the site would tell me when I log in, and access is instantly renewable. It seems some sites are charging more for a non-recurring subscription and this is just a gouge, subscriptions can be canceled immediately after signing up and those that charge more are just hoping that some people will forget, whether they like the site or not. It should be an option that has the same price for either.

I don't remember how long ago I was there but the highest resolution I got from DDG is 480x360.
I know what you mean about remastering of content. I am actually hoping I can get some of the the older ones in 720p, if the masters support a res that high. The 360p looks too grainy on a new HD monitor, so an upgrade in quality would make them watchable again.

I was a member last summer, and just looked into joining again to catch up. I am in Canada and the site was trying to charge me to way too much in Canadian dollars, so I changed it to US dollars (my credit card company would do the currency conversion at a better rate than businesses offer anyway). They want to charge me USD$27.10. Why do I need to pay more than someone else because of where I live?
I am insulted.
I will pass on joining this site again unless they get their act together and remove their prejudices, whether inadvertent or not.
