Firstly, I would point out we have attempted to sort out these problems and have refunded you as we have been unable to come up with a solution. As you have decided to attack us in public despite timely polite support AND A REFUND, I will defend us in public.

"Unable to determine IP address from host name"

This is not an error message our servers ever show. In fact a quick search on Google seems to show the error message is related to proxies and domain name servers (DNS) Which indicates that you are probably either directly using a proxy or your ISP is using a proxy that you do not know about. Given your location in Qatar, this is a distinct possibility.

What we see is this; You are logging in from two different locations at the same time:-

UK

Sharing passwords is a violation of our terms and conditions. We have server logs and output from two separate scripts with time stamps that show these multiple location logins.

I'm sorry it didn't work out and you weren't able to join - but there's simply nothing for us to gain by treating you deliberately in the way you claim we did. You've jumped in from moment one with accusations and abuse - and no, we haven't "insulted" you in any way at all - as soon as we were aware you had a problem we did all we could to help. What more can we do under the circumstances?

Password recovery is automated. We rarely need to change users passes by hand, if we do it's not a problem and we certainly don't mind.

I'm really sorry you hit problems but you also didn't give us chance to solve the password issue - The FAQs are very clear that if you have a problem with your membership you should email us direct - our system is setup for this, but you didn't do it. I'm not trying to dodge responsibility, but if anyone ever has a problem with anything, the best thing to do is to go direct to the source - in this case Simonscans - and not via any intermediary, such as CCBill.

We handle the support inhouse, so the buck does stop here. We've tried outsourcing support in the past and it pleased no one, so we now take turns in the office to do it, hence its spread around just 4 people.

Your email about how to join via CCBill was ignored - and wrongly so - it had been asigned a low priority as it didn't involve a paying member at that point. It also seemed a little odd as while we love CCBill, they are just one of our billers - there's simply nothing to choose between each. We absolutely won't get drawn into any discussions over one of them being trustworthy and the others less so - no processor is able to keep their merchant account if they aren't 100%, so they are all good.

We will however in the future add direct links to each biller for those that do have a preference.

Simonsfans isn't our site, but yet again, as we allow it to promote us, the buck stops here. We recently made some changes to Simonscans which resulted in join pages being moved - simonsfans had not completed changing their links. It should not have made a difference, but in this case it did. We've contacted the webmaster and I'm sure more of it will change. NONE of this was instigated by CCBill and certainly doesn't imply any form of crookery on anyones part.

Doing support is a pretty thankless task at the best of times. It arrives at all hours, ranges from the incomprehensible to the downright weird. Almost everyone is annoyed something isn't working and also very (and rightly) worried that they are in the process of being ripped off. We really are trying to help. :)

In this case, the least we can do is offer you a free pass for 6 months, please give us chance to impress you with our porn :)

It's err, complicated.

1 We're based in the UK so have to charge our sales tax (VAT) - currently its 15%, though its only just recently changed from 17.5%. - but we only have to charge it surfers from within the EU.

USA and the rest of the world - no VAT

2 There's no system in place with any billing company (that we've ever found!) to correctly account for VAT when paying out to affiliates.

You may or may not know about the affiliate payout system, so here's the skinny; We pay other webmasters to promote our sites, and it's the industry standard of 50% of the headline signup cost.

So, to keep things simple we ALWAYS pay the full 50% regardless of surfer location. This means we make a lot less on some surfers than others! Worst case from the full 100% we loose 50% affiliate payout, 17.5% VAT, 10% creditcard processing fee - which leaves us with 22.5% of the original signup fee.

In essence we charge more in the EU as our costs are higher, simply because of the VAT.

The "extra" money charged ends up mostly in the hands of the government as VAT, either directly, or because we have in effect covered the VAT costs for the affiliates half of the transaction. Very little extra ends up in my helicopter/yacht fund!

Sorry, that's just not true. We shot long sets, we have sets where the tease portion alone is longer than the entire set on other sites. - Plus our girls end up doing the porn!
