Download limits don't b other me because I would rather be more selective instead of downloading everything from a website. Downloading only the best & most interesting items is the way I go now.
ANY porn was great in the old days, but so much is now available and time is so limited that I now feel hunting for only the best is the new way to go.

Like Jay G, I'm also selective and might not be affected by download limits, but then again, I might depending on what they are, especially in the heady early stage of a membership when I'd download more.
Besides, it's an added task to keep track of how much I'm downloading each day and when a day starts for the site instead of for myself.
I've been through such experiences. They're nothing to hoot about just to save a rather small amount of money. Complications don't prove to be popular.

I look at the question from the perspective of sites that charge you more just to be able to download. So far I've avoided them but I'm guessing at some point this year I'll bite the bullet and do it.

I'm more of a hoarder than some of the others who answered this question, but I'm okay with download limits as long as they are reasonable. In 2017 having a limit of 10 or even 20GB per days isn't reasonable given file sizes.

It really depends on the site and how much I download. For the most part the answer would be no as I can wait the 24 hours.

I don't think I'd want to join a site that had DL limits. The point of being a member is full access for the duration of your membership. If I can only DL X videos before being stopped, why exactly am I paying for a membership? Why not just switch to the pay per video model at that point. Answer: You basically have, you are just disguising it as a membership.

I am a very picky downloader so unless the site is one that only offers huge video files and a pretty frugal download limit then I will never face that problem but I guess I might be willing to pay a little more for no download limit. It would really depend on the join price.

Like Rearadmiral I too am a collector. I have over a dozen external drives (4 & 6 TB in size) and with my preferred HD & 4K choice That really fills up quickly. With file sizes up to and over 7TB a download limit is hit fairly quickly so I generally avoid sites with imposed limits unless something specifically catches my attention. I already pay an extra $50 a month with my ISP for unlimited data. What pisses me off is when you join a site for full price and SURPRISE!! STREAM ONLY UNLESS YOU "UPGRADE" MEMBERSHIP!! MOFOS and a couple others burned me that way because they don't sat that at sign-up

Even when I'm scanning and only downloading the things that I want, I have hit limits on a few sites, mainly In The Crack. I also think that sites that sign you up as streaming only without telling you are pretty much committing fraud. That includes Playboy Plus, Twisty's and a bunch of other sites managed by the same sleazeball company. Fraud. The expectation is that you will be allowed to download anything you "see" unless specifically told otherwise. Limits are one thing. Bait and switch is fraud.

I'm reminded of the old saying about locks only being there to keep honest people out. Why would a pirate searching through torrents notice and care if a site required higher costs or ridiculously restrictive limits to downloading content? I guarantee the paying customers like us would notice and care, though. I've marked a couple of sites off of my "to join" list for that very reason.
I bet both paying customers and the torrenting crowd notice when the paying customers who want to pay for legal content leave reviews saying it's both too expensive AND too much of a PITA to download, though.
It would be interesting to see data on whether heavier restrictions encourages more piracy of the product. I'd bet my $29.95 it does.

I hate download limits. But I will not pay extra.
