Was given a kindle a few years ago and read a book on it. Started another and then went out and bought a real copy of the book. Gave the kindle away and haven't looked back. I read internet things on my ipad, of course, but like the feel of a real book so much more.

There was study that showed college students doing better with questions about details when they read print instead of digital screens. However, there wasn't clear proof that one medium is better than the other. Both screen and print readers did about the same with main points.
For me, the advantage of books is that that are NOT digital and NOT part of a networked device, meaning there's nothing there (texts, calls, notifications, ads, battery power, etc.) to distract me.
But the bit of irony is that I found and read the aforementioned article on my phone.

Physical books give a better, more familiar experience when reading, than ebooks.
But ebooks are usually cheaper, and more convenient to keep and read.
So I use both.
But most of my library is ebooks. Because of cost and convenience.
I'm really glad that ebooks were invented.
Even though you can't seem to hold the same affection and regard for them as a real book. It just seems like a different experience when you are reading a screen instead of a paper page. Less of a real connection.
