I had a similar experience recently, both with an issue logging on and getting a quick fix. I think they are trying to unify all the logons, which in the long run will be a good thing, but glitches like this are probably to be expected when they do stuff like this.

MetArt sites normally give excellent service, so when you have a problem, it can be irritating.
However, their customer service is excellent: fast responses, and usually helpful.
So problem solved: except you don't expect problems with these sites.
As I get older, I have less patience. But that's just me.

OMG this is a pain in the ass. It has happened to me five or six times in the last year or so. I a couple of annuals and a couple of highly discounted monthly subscriptions (cheaper than annual), plus I rotate through most of their their sites once a year or so. Every time I sign up or cancel a site, my master account gets screwed up. For me, the problem is usually because they use different billers for different promotions. So two subscriptions are Epoch, two are rocketpay and one or two are ccbill. When they reset things, the different biller accounts don't synch up and logins fail. I had one account that continued to charge me for a couple of months before I realized that I wasn't actually cancelled like the site said. Of course, once I point all this out, they fix it within a day or two, but damn it is frustrating!

I am glad to hear that our Customer Care team got you lined out! And thank you so much for the wonderful feedback about them.
As LadyLover correctly surmised, we are moving to a single sign on process. We are also doing some cleanup on the database. While it will be great when it is complete, there will unfortunately be some bumps along the way. I am so sorry that you got tripped up on one of them!
