It seems many sites are using a separate downloading service which charges an additional fee. They should at least be up front about it instead of springing it on after paying $30 or so for a site membership.
That practice on Sean Cody is what caused me to give them a rather low rating.

I have joined this site multiple times, the last just a few months ago, and have never had a problem with downloading also I never hit a download limit.
I'm sorry you had this experience. I use either chrome or firefox, browser makes a very big difference, plus look into a download manager, I use IDM, internet download manager. can quadruple or more your download speed.

I do think Jennifer2 means the site is now using a downloading site that charges extra to download. Reality Kings is streaming only unless you order the download site as extra. Other sites have started to do this now. The same with Sean Cody, which allowed downloads in the past.

My mistake, sorry. That is a shit move on their part. I can see a reduced charge for site access them a full price for downloads. People need to learn from that mofos fiasco a couple years back, this is going to piss off a lot of customers to find out a membership is going to cost them $45.

Not surprised by the new fees because RK is not what it used to be. Fortunately I have a "lifetime" membership that cost me about $50, but the site is so bad anymore that I don't visit often. For my taste the best scenes are the older ones, but like Brazzers they have deleted hundreds. I now think that Czech/Russian porn is the best porn around, straight sex, choreographed and without gimmicks.
This month RK completely revamped the site, and not for the better. Navigation is awkward, ads are everywhere and they lost my ratings, which I use to keep track of older scenes I have seen.

Yes, the ads are ridiculous. They're everywhere. I do notice quite a few of the older 2000-2010 videos are missing from their series'. They have also tried to convert some the older ones to the 16:9 aspect ratio. The way they did it they stretched everything out. It looks insanely unnatural. Or they crop out the top and bottom of the video like exploitedteens.com. Looks like they shot the footage with a telephoto lens. Such a shame. That site butchered some great footage. I say just leave them in the 4:3 ratio in which they were shot. So much better. Oh, well.

I agree 100%. I am a person who is always looking out for a bad aspect ratio. But in my opinion, RealityKings have never got the original aspect ratio 4:3 correct. Even when I think back to the old days, I remember seeing those old RK movies which should be 4:3, and it was stretched to 1.5:1
Maybe that is not so bad, it is basically going from 1.33 up to 1.5 - so it is adding 0.17 in the width (slight distortion) so I imagine not many noticed it but I did. Now like you said, now they are taking things which should be 4:3 and showing it widescreen. It is turning 1.33 up to 1.78 - so it is adding 0.45 in width (much more distortion, easily noticeable).
But yes it's annoying, I don't really stream anything (unless I am forced like when I can't figure out how to download something). But once I have a file, my chosen player is VLC and I can easily turn 16:9 into 4:3 with VLC.
Regarging your review, I been RK member at different times. I never experienced downloading problem to RK as a whole, but I have experienced some bad download speeds at realitykings to old videos. I assume this is your problem too, since you bring up topic of distortion, 16:9 into 4:3. It it something which only happens on their old videos, so I will assume you are often trying to download their old movies, in this case. Yes I have experienced the low download speeds. But for me as a whole, RealityKings is a good website when it comes to download speed, if what I am downloading was released today or in the last 5 years. But when I am downloading the really old stuff, like from 2004, 2003, 2002 etc I often see the slow speeds. I think maybe they did it for 2 reasons. 1 - Because they are thinking not the majority of our members want the old videos, I think this is also true.
2 - They are thinking since old movies is much smaller file size, it is acceptable. I disagree, but maybe it's what they think.
Regarding your rating, in my opinion I think you are judging too harshly RealityKings just for your experience with bad download speeds. But I do respect your opinion, I understand we all think and view things differently. For me bad download speeds is a minor problem, I look more into content of website before I give them low rating. And if overall I think website is amazing, their download speed could be bad but I will still rate them high (because I think overall it's amazing and the low speeds won't annoy me too much, I'll just take time to download them. Maybe you could try to use ethernet cable to improve your speed).
