Pros: |
-The main pro is that the site serves as an encyclopedia of nude appearance by movie stars in movies.
An easy way to check if a movie star appeared nude or semi-nude in movies. More suitable for fans of movie stars, instead of fans of erotic content.
-Unlimited downloading and streaming.
-Secure login and member pages (https).
-The introductory page after login is a page of ads. Normally, I don't consider ads a positive, but there are only a few ads for major sites, and some of the membership prices are very low: MetArt, for example, has a $60 annual membership listed, which is the lowest price I've seen for that site.
-The clips usually end with a "SkinVision" segment, where they replay the "sexy part of the clip" in slow motion, so you can re-watch the "best part of the clip".
-A low membership price: $60/year. They often offer a lifetime membership for $100.
-Excellent search engine. |
Cons: |
-The tags describing a clip can be misleading:
A tag says breasts, but the model/actress can be wearing a bikini or a blouse, and the breasts are not naked, but covered by material. You figure she has breasts, because she is female, but you can't see them.
Or the tags say ass, and the model has an ass, but it's covered by a bikini bottom or shorts.
-The clips are not erotic. They are too short to be erotic. Even when the clip is from the erotic part of a movie, you lose the impact of the movie because the build-up to the clip is missing, and the clip itself lacks the original meaning of the scene. And when I say the clip is too short to be erotic, you have a clip of two minutes or less, so it's like a fleeting glance, instead of a full-blown experience.
An erotic photo or photo set can, and usually is, a more complete and satisfying experience instead of the Mr Skin short movie clips.
-The quality of the clips is disappointing. The clips from movies are degraded definition. |
Bottom Line: |
The site is for fans who want to search for brief clips of movie stars nudity.
The clips are not erotic. They are mainly short clips, 2 minutes or less, with minimal build-up.
As an encyclopedia of movie star nudity, it serves a useful function.
But I feel Mr Skin is built for fans of movie star nudity, and not for fans of erotic content.
If you want erotic content, go for a fine photo site, like MPL Studios or MetArt or other softcore glam sites.
Or if you're into hardcore teens, the Wow Girls/Wow Porn sites, X-Art, Teen Mega World offer a lot of value.
Or a hardcore glamcore network like LetsDoeIt is a fine choice.
Even though Mr Skin is catalogued as an erotic site, since it focuses on nudity in movies, it is not a site to go to for erotic content. Instead, you go to the site if you have an itch to see if a favorite movie star has done any public (movie, tv) nudity.
There's a reply from PU member marcdc1 on 2019-04-25 that sums up the site:
"I keep checking out Mr. Skin and so far haven't pulled the trigger - mostly because I fear it's going to feed my curiosity - but not my libido".
I'm giving the site a score of 80.
It's a good site for what it does: There's a huge amount of short clips, many of them non-nude. As an encyclopedia of movie star near-nudity or nudity, it does a good job.
I just wish the quality of the clips was better, the clips were longer to include a build-up to the scene to give it greater impact.
As a site of erotic content, it's disappointing. |
