Pros: |
-Large amount of content. Domai was started back in 1997, so it was one of the earliest softcore photo sites on the internet.
-Instead of the high-gloss glamour style offered by many photo sites, Domai gives you basic nude softcore photos of young women (18 years old and older). Very little air-brushing that I could tell.
-The girls are mainly attractive to very attractive. Many of them are featured in other MetArt sites, as well as other photo sites.
-You get many of the same contributing photographers from the MetArt network, so you do get some variety of photographers, except that the overall style is simple nudes, simple costumes, nothing glamourous or exotic. Strictly softcore.
-There is a zip file for photoset downloads in low, medium, and high definition.
-Content is exclusive.
-There is a nice mix of indoor and outdoor sets.
-Codec for the photosets is efficient. The high-definition downloads are less than 300 MB, and the low-definition downloads are usually 10 MB or less |
Cons: |
-The main con is the price. Domai used to be, many years ago, a low-priced site (less than $10/month) that offered softcore nude photos. But it's now a fully priced site. $29.99/month, or $99.99/year. As a low-priced site, it was worth joining, because it has a large collection of nude models shot in a simple, non-glamorous style. But as a full-priced site, I would hesitate to join, because there are so many competing sites offering glamour-style photography.
-Photo only site. No videos.
-Pre-checked cross-sale on join.
-They are running out of new photosets, so they are using some older content shot years ago.
But unless you've been a longtime porn addict, you probably won't realize that some of the content is old.
-The online slide-show mechanism is acceptable, but could be improved. You get a cropped photo with a large amount of black-space on both sides of the photo.
-Only basic data is provided on a model. Model's age when the set was posted, a few physical attributes. That's it. |
Bottom Line: |
CONS(CONTINUED):
Note: the downloaded model data sheet says the age shown is the age of the model when the set was shot. But it's really the age of the model when the set was posted. Which is obvious if you've followed some of these models, who look like teens in the photos, but the stated age is in their 30s. So unless these models have discovered the fountain of youth, you figure the site (and many other sites, due to covid) are using old content and posting it as new updates.
-Due to covid, the rate has slowed. It used to update 5 days a week, but now it's one new update every 3 or 4 days.
BOTTOM LINE(START OF):
Domai offers a non-glamourous, basic softcore approach. Many years ago I was a member off and on. The catalog of models was the main attraction, combined with a low-priced membership.
But since MetArt took over the site from the original founder (Eolake Stobblehouse), they've raised the membership price, and it's now as expensive or more expensive than most glamour-style photo sites.
So in spite of the attractive models, I would hesitate to join the site.
Unless you're tired of the glamour-style approach many photosites use, and want something more basic.
Domain is a photo only site, no videos. So that could be a negative for some.
Also, the site is extreme softcore only. No masturbation or explicit scenes.
Site design is simple and basic. Which makes navigation easy.
Back when the original founder was running the site, it used to have more features: short erotic fiction, articles on how to enjoy life and erotic photography, a loyalty program to make membership even cheaper. But that was all dropped after MetArt took over.
Because some of the models are so lovely, and many of the rest are attractive, the site might be worth joining for a month or so.
But there is too much competition, both softcore and hardcore, for this site to stand out.
I'm giving the site a score of 85. Because I have fond memories of the site. But the price ($29.99/month) makes it expensive. |
