-You get a nice, short text description of the plot of the video, plus tags for the video that can be used to search for your sex niches and fetishes. |

-Site stopped updating around 10-10-2018.
-Site gives me slow download speeds. I have a 200 Mbps connection, but my wireless connection can drop to 9 Mbps.
Theoretically, I've read that the minimum speeds required for:
SD (480p): 3+ Mbps.
HD (720–1080p): 5–13+ Mbps.
4K (UHD, 2160p): 16–25 Mbps.
So even 9 Mbps, which my wireless speed can drop to, should be fine for 720p videos.
But it doesn't work that way.
On my monitor, the stream is not smooth for 720p. And if I try to fast forward the video, the playback will stop completely.
The way to get around slow streaming speeds is to download the video, and play the file on your PC.
The technical features of some of the videos are top-quality. They have plot and some special effects and good to excellent video, nice sets, nice costumes, etc. |

The videos at Parody Pass don't have a single focus or tone: they might try to be serious, or comical, or stupidly funny.
In contrast, the stories at Pure Taboo, a site in the Adult Time network, can be interesting and add to the impact of the sex. The Pure Taboo videos are trying to create an artistic, erotic visual experience where the sex is illicit. The Pure Taboo site is probably the finest story-driven porn site I've seen.
Candide, a novel by Votaire, published in 1759, was a satire on the Leibniz philosophy of optimism. The novel Candy, by Terry Southern and Mason Hoffenberg, written around 1958, was supposed to be a satire of Candide.
Candide, and Candy, are both considered comical, or humorous. I read them years ago, and enjoyed both of them. The humor is not really laugh-out-loud funny. More a quiet humor that, "Oh, I get the idea, and it's nice".
The Sex Files #2 is an imitation of The X-Files with sex.
My idea of parody movies include Airplane!, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Hot Shots!. A movie where you get exaggerated ideas or acting that is supposed to be funny or enjoyable.
"The Sex Files #2" is not funny for me. It's not enjoyable. It's a waste of time.
On reflection, I realize that by "parody" what they mean is "imitation". The Sex Files #2 is an imitation of The X-Files. It was not meant to be funny, but interesting and enjoyable. Spiced with sex. But at 2 hours runtime, I was bored.
Reasons why I don't like the site:
I don't appreciate the humor of the videos.
I've never followed most of the TV shows that are parodied.
So the parodies don't strike a chord in my mind, that makes me laugh or appreciate the points being parodied.
Also, some of the parodies are just not funny.
The technical qualities of the videos are good to excellent. The acting by the models is OK for porn videos, which sets a low bar for acting. The sets are nice, the filming is done professionally: good focus, good lighting, good sound control, nice colors.
I'm giving the site a score of boring 78. That's a new category for boring sex and boring videos. |
