Dear PU ...
One can pretty much tell from the tour whether to believe a site or not. I feel a bigger issue is sites that are great that just haven't put the work that needs to be done into a tour.
I really (double extra) really wish sites would do example images ..

its pretty easy to spot a high quality site with a cheap site, tho u cant always tell of the content
it would be great if more sites had a preview area like abby winters (shows everything)

What drives me crazy is when a tour is so filled with material that you wouldn't know what the site's background color was, but then you join and you can tell very quickly because of all the bare space.

Many sites have example (free) images at their tour pages and I can say that, most of the times, is cool and helpful

I usually just check it for weird stuff like spelling.
Things like these usually tell you if the site is trustworthy or not. But still even then you can't really tell sometimes.
So I just go with reviews and the homepage usually.

I was recently tricked by sites that claimed exclusive content. I don't trust them anymore, but I come here and to TBP for honest reviews.

If the site has a good review either here or at TBP, then yeah I'd trust the tour pages.
Otherwise, I'd be weary without reading reviews.

Tours are better than nothing, and they show that a site's prepared to tell you what they've got. But you have to be wary, and favourable reviews are worth more than any tour.
