One of the main reasons, if not THE main reason, for the PornUser's site is for us to share and gain information about a site beyond what we learn from just visiting it AND from the info at TBP, so even a review that gives a user's account of a limited trial is better than none.

I'm completely agreeing with Drooler on this. The visitors POV (no pun) matters. Everyone willing to explore a new site on their own knows this. Sometimes full memberships don't allow the full access to all the freatures in a site. So even if they only went for a trial, whatever they hads to say will be relevant to everyone here.

I have no problem with it, but the fact that the review is written after just a LIMITED trial, where the reviewer did not have the opportunity to see everyuthing on a site should be required. A review from a full access trial is (or should be) the same as from a full month.
That's why I voted undecided, because the question does not distinguish between FULL and LIMITED trial.
That said, my recent review of Whale Tail 'N would have been to rate it quite low if I wrote it during a 3 day trial, not after 2+ months membership, because it's a loaded site with lousy site design. It took me almost a month to get used to it and enjoy the site.
In fairness, when writing a review after only a short 3-day or less experience with the site should include that fact so the reader knows what the review was based on.

I've written before that I won't review a site until I've been there for several weeks, but that's not a standard for PU and I believe that there are numbers of people that write reviews for sites that they have been members of for only a few days.
If a reviewer is open and accurate about their membership and the membership is recent (the thing that burns me is when I see reviews of sites where the person hasn't been there in months), then I think it's OK. It's more info being shared, and that's the whole point, no?

Any shared information is good information if it's clearly stated how long someone's been a member.
In my first few days at a site, I pretty much get all the info I need about what it provides. Being a member for a couple of months seldom reveals any new insights, for me, at least.
I enjoy the thrill of exploring a new site for the first month or two. After that, I'm usually ready to move on and explore a new site.

No problems - if it's based on full access trial....

As long as its a full access trial, then absolutely fine.

I want to know if someone disliked something about a site that would make them not opt for full membership.

I'm with those who said that as long as it's a full access trial. If you don't get the full access then you really can't be certain of the overall quality. I do agree with Pink Panther that for certain sites, you have to be a member for more than a couple of days to be able to give a review, but usually those site don't offer full trials anyway.

As long as they can see the members area, then they can reviews based on that. They may not know much about updates, but thats about it.

I use porn trials a lot and do about half my reviews from them. However, I only review based upon a full access trial - I don't even bother with trials that don't have full access. I think you can get the flavor of a site pretty quickly, especially if you have a basic review check list, so you don't need to stick around for a long time.

I used to think that you should be a current user until I started to look at what videos I watch over and over. Sometimes certain websites hold up better over time than when you first signed up. I may not have immediately realized just how good the videos really were.

As long as the trial is full access to the site, you should be able to write a review of the site. It doesn't take that long for most PU members to judge a site.
You won't see the entire contents of a mega-site in a few days, but you should get the basic feel of the site quality and contents, of the pix and vids offered.
If the review is based on a trial membership, that should be clearly mentioned in the review.
