Can only say a month. My whole motto is to take what you want and if you really like the site come back later on and check out the updates. I just haven't found any place yet that I could justify staying for longer.

The vast majority I stay with for a month only - then rejoin the best after a period where there has been time for many updates.
And some sites I've rejoin several times over the years. Like: 1byday, Teendreams, Twistys, Nubiles, Videobox and a handfull more.
Only site I've stayed with for years without cancel (over 4 years, I think) is Easynews.

I'm a member at All Over 30 for more than 2 years now simply because it's the best site for mature porn that I've seen so far. With more than 300 models and about 250 or so that I personally like to see nude this is mature heaven to me :-)

Been at met-art over 4 years, counting other joins.
Met-art is my favorite adult site.

BTW: Also joined LSG for a year - because it was a "good" deal - somthing like $ 44 - still regret it a bit - the videos on that site are generally just boring...
Can't recommend it - and twice I've been locked out (login/password suddenly did not work) and had to go through CCBill - because the site/webmaster never bothered to answer..

It was in '06 that I started year-long subscriptions to some of my favorite sites: MetArt, FemJoy, and HegreArt. I've rarely been a day without those since then.

Yes, LSG seems to excel at marketing, but not at their product. The photosets also tend to be boring and generally below standards. The models themselves even look bored sometimes. And there's too much graininess, cropping off heads and such, long-distance shots, and darkness.
They actually had one of the best (and rare!) poses of Gina (the tall, leggy blond Czech girl who's been all over the place) face down on a couch, but they fucked it up by cutting the top of her head off. I've complained directly to them more than once about the flaws, but I might as well be saying it to the millions-of-years-old light of the stars.

I tend to join for only a month. Sometimes I go for three days if there is a trial, but that may get me hooked or a month.
In some cases, the discount for three months has been great enough for me to lengthen my membership, but the site would have to have a lot of archive and new content (e.g. 1-by-day).
In some rare cases, I forget to cancel my membership and it goes for a few months. Sometimes it is because the site makes it complex to cancel. This is why I generally prefer well-known billing providers.
The only other exception was for "Penthouse Online" collection in 1998. This was supposed to be a "lifetime" membership for $199, but ID stopped working around 2000. I emailed them, but they gave me some lame excuse, and I never really had adequate proof of my subscription.

If the site is big I prefer a three month run. After that if I really liked I might join 4-6 months later for a 30 day.

I'm similar to Wittyguy and Denner, in that I usually only join for a month, download what is worthwhile, then come back later if need be. The longest I have joined a site was 2 months, but there's no 2 month option! So I went with 3 months, as that's probably the closest. (Yes I know it's half way between ome month and two months, but it's closer in spirit to 3 months)

I make it a rule to harvest a site in a month. Probably pretty much like others here: I go through the model index alphabetically, and each model I like I review a few photos in her sets and download zips of the sets I like, as well as the vids I like. It's not like I look at every photo or video as I go - I just preview the content and download the ones that appeal to me. I continue processing the site in this manner until it's cleaned out.
Using this technique, I'm able to get all I want, and save it for later enjoyment, in a relatively short time. Even big sites like 1-by-day I can process in a month.
I just can't see spending $20 to $30 per month on a site, month after month. I suppose if one had the cash, and didn't want to hassle with downloading everything, it would work. But I'm too anal-retentive and picky about what I spend my hard-earned money on!
Perhaps badandy will respond to this poll with some details on his technique. He has to be the download king!

The "deal" for a year is ok (pricewise), but when it comes down to reality, the "deal" is not so attractive as it seems - all PUs should be aware of that....

I've not spent more than $15 on any recurring memberships, and that much is overly indulgent. But the deals you get with sites like MetArt are much better. MetArt has 4 updates every day for 8.25 per month. Most year-long memberships are non-recurring.
I've taken to adding the "expiry date" of the sites I join right in their bookmarks. That way, I'll know when something is about to end and when it ended, too. It's most convenient place for that info. -- right at the spot from which I access a site.

There are sites, believe it or not, that I think are too "artsy." NenaBlue, for instance, looks too artsy for me. So what one considers "artsy" I suppose begins with a baseline tolerance (or lack thereof).
In fact, I ranted once in a review of an overly artsy (to me) site, PureBeautyMag, screaming "FUCK ART! We want porn!"
And so it is with porn. It depends on how far away from rudeness one can get before one says, "No, that's no longer porn."
Yes, it's subjective. And what a surprise that is.

I would have said 2 months, but it since it wasn't available I said 3. Of course I didn't really maintain my membership as much as forget to cancel it. I take my hats off to those that can stick with a site for more than one month, but I've yet to see one that updates often enough for me to justify the money.

So let me put it a bit differently: in your opinion, which of the three top sites mentioned contains the least "figure studies" (aesthetic nudes), has none of that polished Playboy look, and encourages its models to flaunt their charms the most? :-) This is an honest question. I've never been a member of any of your big three.

Like others here, Met Art has had me renewing at the year-long level for multiple years. I just joined for a year recently for the 3rd time, I believe. I've been a consistent member of ALS Scan for multiple years now, as well. And with Sarah Peachez as one of their upcoming new models, they definitely keep giving me that "I can't miss an update" feeling.

I've been with Sexy-Babes.tv for over 3 years because they had a one timne offer at $9.95 per month. Then they added Babelicious to the package at no additional cost.
I handle other sites as many of you do; sign up for one month, drain off what I want, then cancel. Occasionally there's a "stick around" offer that will make me want to stay on for one more month, especially with the content rich sites, but that's about it.

Yeah, I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon here. I never join a site for more than a month at a time, because 9 times out of 10 I am disappointed with the content. I'm aware that this is the Internet, and most of these companies are 10 times better at marketing than they are at providing quality. I find I can usually download all I want in a couple days anyway.
There are some sites which do require a second viewing though after a time. Some sites that spring to mind: FTV girls, Sapphic Erotica, Twistys. These sites reek of quality and I will likely be rejoining them in the near future.

I once joined the ( 6 month, 99 dollar, non recurring) deal for ftv girls. That is by far the longest I have been a member to one site for. Usually I go for the month, at less there is some great deal for a 3 month plan or something.
