Though it might be useful in a few rare cases to know the last time a user "visited" (month and year, and logged in, too, I assume), I'd rather respect privacy, just for its own sake.
Besides, users can "visit" without logging in, so that would diminish the effectiveness and accuracy of having that added to the profiles.

I don't really see a need for this feature. This isn't myspace or anything.

Why not? I enjoy following my favorite Porn Users and what they have to say. Sometimes they don't use the service for awhile and it would be nice to know when they were last around.
And actually it is "myspace" for me. I enjoy sharing my biggest hobby (finding & collecting porn) with those who have similar interests.

Big brother is watching.
We now accept that government watches and records almost every move we make. So why not our fellow PU members as well? The technology is there, so why not use it?
Does this mean we now have greater trust in each other?
So many questions. We need President Bush to return and tell us what to do.
He would know the answer to all our polls.
Does PU list President Bush among our members? If not, perhaps he could be hired as a site consultant.

I like the idea.
When I post something in the way of a question or a reply to someone's post, I'd like to know that the person has logged on afterward to see if he/she has had a chance to see it.

Heh... First I voted yes, then no, now I've changed it to undecided. What is important is that you can see when a person was a member of the site reviewed (like it is now), this isn't as important.

Last visited the site, real name, address, a copy of driver's license, credit card numbers, yearly income, Social Security number (if applicable, of course), blood type, mother's maiden name, religious affiliations (if applicable), politcal affiliations (if applicable) and sexual orientation (I would hope something's applicable there).
I voted 'No'.

This is a feature that just makes me say "it is what it is". Meaning, I would see it there in the profile but would probably just glance over it and not taking it in to account at all. Therefore, the majority of the time I'd probably just overlook it. So, to me, it's kind of a pointless feature.

I thought about it too late to edit the reply above, but what I would like to see is how many times a review has been viewed

You are so right about Big Brother's ability to watch. There's no hiding if he wants to know everything you do.
Fortunately, Bush and his buddies were incompetent and really only interested in giving their cronies lots of money (Haliburton, etc.).
They said all the right words for the Taliban-like Christian Evangelicals, but outside of burning a few witches at the stake, they were only interested in their own greed.
Fortunately, even though our form of the Taliban (Christian Evangelical preachers) controls talk radio and cable, real life goes on and they can't prosecute every single person who breaks their "moral" code since that's more than half of America (non-Evangelical Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Muslims, non-believers, etc.) including probably the majority of their Evangelical followers who still fornicate and watch porn in secret.

I read an opinion piece recently. The writer said that our Republican representatives in Congress and the Senate who were secretly gay but strongly anti-gay rights were not hypocrites. They recognized that homosexuality was wrong, and they were fighting that evil not just in society but also in themselves. The fact that some of them have been exposed for their homosexual activity means they are only human.
What I got from the piece was that any position could be defended. That's what lawyers are for.

I thought the question was worded funny. It took me a while to realize what it was actually asking! Didn't know if it meant when you last visited the website you are reviewing/commenting on.

I guess I don't really see the point. I use PU for the reviews and the forum. If the reviews are recent, I look at those first. If people are active in the forum, you know when they're around or not.
I guess the only point for having a "last visited" note is for people who want this place to be more of a social networking site. Is PU really missing out on that demographic? Call me old school but I guess I don't really care when someone last stopped by or not.

For the record ...
I posted this question after seeing two instances w/in a short time of users posting a question to someone (that I could see) hadn't visited in months and months but the person who posted the Q wouldn't know that.
My thought was that by only providing the month/year, it would alleviate some of the fears of the paranoid .. alas, I guess I didn't take into account their level of paranoia. :)
Anyway, now I know that quite a few wouldn't be interested in it so I won't pass the suggestion on for adding it.

Yes. Another way of putting it: spin. There's nothing that the spin masters can't "spin" one way or another. Kerry actually SERVED in Vietnam; Bush did the National Guard. Then came the "Swift Boat" group ...

I saw somewhere that Ron Jeremy's penis already has a twitter account going. Which, when you think about it, probably has more intelligence than anything he could post.
