I had the same question when I wrote my Porn.com comment on 03-14-09 (Mega Site Pass + Download Pass = Porn.com?). At that time, according to the TBP facts and what I could gather from my Porn.com membership, it looked like you got the most content possible when joining Porn.com; the other two sites only gave you partial content. On a side note, I was unpleasantly surprised about not getting any reply from someone at the company since they have a pretty active webmaster at PU.
I never gave much importance to a company offering the same content through different domains (TBP is extremely helpful in identifying these situations) but you certainly have a point regarding customers accidentally joining the same content from two different domains.
On the other hand, I once tried to join a site through ccbill to get a temporary offer even though I had a couple days left of a monthly membership. ccbill detected the credit card I was using was still linked to a valid membership to the site and didn't let me join again. I wonder if the billing setting / provider this company uses in its myriad of sites would also block similar double membership attempts.

Hi james4096,
The intent behind displaying overlapping porn content on different site layouts is to satisfy differing porn users' tastes. It is never our intent to trick anyone into signing up to our sites. Unhappy customers cost us money when they cancel and poor reviews cost us new sales. It's in our best interest to make you happy!
We gear different sites towards different types of users. The examples you gave are good ones and we have long-time customers on all three. All three of those sites have different navigational structures, different layout and different video players. Some members of PORN.com would hate surfing porn on Downloadpass.com and members of Downloadpass.com might hate PORN.com
We invite people to check out all of our sites and pick the one that suits you the best - that's what's so great about PORNUSERS.com
We hope that you like one of our sites / designs and become a customer but we have it posted on the wall in the office...
"Different Strokes for Different Folks...."
Happy surfing,
Kris

Hi atrapat,
I'm sorry! I didn't mean to ignore you! I sometimes miss posts because I think I already replied, please don't take it personally. My brain is just a little quirky somedays ;-)
I've never seen it where someone signs up to two of our sites before. I made a quick call to our biller and they told me they'd stop you if you tried to sign up twice.
I'll watch out for that double-effect tho. We wouldn't want anyone to fall into that.
Thanks for your feedback!
Kris.

No harm done. When a company offers a plethora of sites and some of them offer access to some of the others, it sometimes gets confusing which site you should join to get the most content.
After reading the TBP follow-up review on Mega Site Pass back in March 2009, it seemed that Mega Site Pass was offering a subset of what is available through Porn.com. That's why I wrote the comment wondering if Porn.com gave you all the Mega Site Pass plus the Download Pass content while Mega Site Pass and Download Pass memberships alone didn't offer access to one another.
Regarding the billing concerns, it's good to know that your billing provider would block people from joining two sites that give access to the same content, like Porn.com and one of the exclusive reality sites.

Thanks for the reply.
It's nice to see a site that actually practices customer service.
If you say that you have a system to stop people from subscribing to the same site content twice, then I believe you and that's a good thing. But I'd imagine more than one person has tried to join two of your clone sites at the same time.
I'm just saying you have too many clones and fronts. When I join Brazzers, or Naughty America, or Bang Bros through one of their sites, I know what I'm getting. They are clearer in stating that you are part of their network. Those sites use branding well and are able establish a reputation because of it. When I see your sites, it looks like you are trying to reel in more people by making it seem like they are getting a whole site or network based on a very specific niche. And your stuff isn't exactly exclusive.
Respectfully, I'm not buying the whole design thing that much. The sites do present the data differently, but that's not important. Do you really want us to join Ultimate Sex Pass, then porn.com, then Mega site Pass before settling on Download pass because we like the layout? Why not get it right the first time. That's not what you are trying to do. You're trying to catch more customers with a bigger net. You are opening more stores to attract more customers. Do we need two starbucks across the street from each other? Anyway this is the internet, we don't need 300 stores with the same products.
I like some of the content you have in your sites. I got some good stuff in there. I like the price. I like DVD content and most of us here do, Videobox is one of the most popular sites here. I'll probably resubscribe in the future. You may take objection to me saying this and it doesn't matter because you are going to make money no matter what, but I think you guys are a tiny bit shady. And if I'm wrong about that, then the way you market your sites makes them look shady and unappealing.
I'm not faulting you for trying to make money, but hope people know what they are getting. You can pick apart little inaccuracies in post if you like to clear the recored, but I think my point was clear.

Hi james4096,
Thanks for your post. And yes, customer service is an area that we're really focusing on this year and we hope to set the bar high for our competitors before the year is out.
I have no intention of picking apart your post. I appreciate that you've taken the time to post a well-thought-out opinion. What you're saying makes complete sense and you're entitled to your point of view.
The other sites you mention are great sites but we all do things a little bit differently. I hope that surfers don't think we're trying to be shady as like I said before - it's certainly not our intent. The best thing about pornusers is that you can read other people's experiences with a site before buying (and you get great discounts!) and make an informed decision.
Thanks again for posting,
Kris.
