Maybe the server is stopping the multiple connections of a download manager.
Thanks for the warning, thats ATK on the not to join list.

I am glad you were able to get a better download speed and things are getting better for you. I wanted to let you know we are switching over to a CDN so we see better download speeds. We have had comments about this before and we are working to provide better speeds to our members by switching to the CDN but like all good things in life it will take time. We are working very hard on it and it is at the top of our list of things we want to provide to our members. Thank you again for your comment and know that we are listening and working to better satisfy you.

Like I wrote in my initial comment: the dl speeds are getting better by now..up to 1mb/sec, but there's still room for it to get even better...lol

Thank you Advent for caring about your customers. Can't wait to have my dl speeds maxed out..this means almost 3mb/sec..because there's a truckload of videos on the site.

I would prefer to use a download manager, than sit at the computer for ages downloading 1 file at a time at 1mb/s.
Thanks for the further reply, but I'll still give this site a miss.

I agree. Using a download manager is much easier and be sure that I will experiment until it's fixed the way I like it to be.

REPLY TO #2 - Advent :
Almost 48 hours later and nothing has changed. Download speeds between 60 and 240 kb/sec. This stinks when you are used to 20 times faster DL speeds on the better sites.
So Advent, can you give me a time horizon for when the DL speeds will get better?

I spoke to the IT department and they told me that we have unlimited bandwith. Could you sent in some trace routes and I will pass those on to them to see if they can give us some answers as to why you are having such slow download speeds?

I am not very technical minded, so I will have to ask you what trace routes are?

Traceroute is a command which can show you the path a packet of information from your computer to a specified destination. It will list all of the routers it passes through until it reaches it's destination, or fails to and is discarded.
To perform a traceroute select start > Run and then type in CMD clicking ok at the bottom. If you are using Vista select start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
Enter the word tracert, followed by a space and then the domain name.
On Windows it is called a pathping. This information can sometimes be used by hackers so please email me the information at melissa@atkcash.com instead of posting it on here.
I hope this helps.

It didn't help Advent, because there was a problem with my trace routes to your site and there's nothing you or me can do about it. I just have to accept dl with a speed of a VERY slow snail...which is like 30-11o kb/sec right now, or realize that I wasted my money on joining.
I sure hope I am the only one. Am I?
