I have the most fun interacting with other users, though I can't say for sure that it's my main motivation. The answer to that question I do not have! It's an unexamined piece of my life!
But before I start having an existential crisis, I'll just say that I do a lot of work at home and sometimes I need a break. One of my favorite digs is PU!
It's the "pause that refreshes!"

My primary reason when I first joined PU was to browse the new sites or reviews. That started to change once the forum was created. These days I'd say it's a 60% interaction and 40% reviews. I still like to read and make reviews.

If I remember correctly, I think I came here right after I'd asked the people at TPB if they'd ever considered having a way for people to leave comments about sites. Not long afterwards, there it was! I stay because, for the most part, I like what people have to say about the sites. And the polls, even when they get a little personal or just plain weird, are fun. Then there are those times when I think I'm here just to challenge webmasters. There's nothing more fun to me on here than to say, "Nope - not buying the bullshit!"

TBP was my go to site before PU came along anyway, so when I checked it out I really liked it.
I voted interaction, but the no bullshit reviews as well as the occasional posts by webmasters explaining why they do what they do is not available anywhere at all on the internet.
I said before and it bears repeating. PornUsers is the Consumers Reports of porn. The only source for unbiased, real people info and an opportunity to share with others infp about sites, downloading, organizing, etc.

I realise that most people have multiple reasons.....construncting a poll using multiples would be rather difficult.
I guess, the "main" reason would qualify if it the FIRST thing you do when you login.....most times.
For me, I always check out new sites first....then have a nose around after that.

The interaction - BUT that certainly includes those welcome reviews and warnings and recommendations ect. - and don't forget the forum which both is a fine help and can be fun...
But bottom line:
Compare this to other sites like Porn Inspector, Rabbit's, Sir Rodney or even Pam's (LOL) - no one come close to PU...

Mostly for checking out sites. I occasionally stumble upon a site and am interested what others have to say about it.
It's the most honest about the quality of a site. I always get the feeling that reviews on other sites are biased cause they may get sponsor money from them.

For me, visiting PU is just a habit before joining any new site. If it has bad reviews in PU, or even if it doesn't have any reviews at all, I will think twice before joining...

If a PU review is lousy, that's the ballgame. I will not sign up for any site that PU members is unhappy with. Ever.
I also will not join a site that has not been reviewed by anyone on PU even if my libido is activated by the preview site.
Life is too short and there are so many superb sites out there it makes no sense to gamble even a few bucks on a site no one here has visited.

I read the site reviews and comments to get an idea of whether a site is worth joining. I also like reading some of the threads.
