The closest answer for me is "more/less extreme," but to me that's more extreme in her own appearance, with tats, piercings, and/or silicone. I like 'em "natural."

I guess the closest answer for me is losing her edge, as in got too old and worn out looking. Nina Hartley is a good example. She was cute in her prime, now she just looks old, tired and worn out to me.

That's a great question. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to have my pron stash buried with me. Since it's on my hard drives, would I need to have an electric outlet inside my coffin, or would I be able to watch the hard drives with my ectoplasmic extensions? I figure external hard drives are better, because I don't have a laptop, just a desktop.
Things were simpler back in the days when pron was on magazines. I had an uncle who was buried with some newspapers in his coffin (he liked to read the newspaper, I guess). First time I saw that happen.

Another hard/difficult one: I'll keep on - but maybe with less entusiasm. Like - an exampel - Julia Ann. She WAS great in the early days - she's still a knockout, but, yes, well....not so great anymore - maybe too much 'inflation'...
And oh, yes, RB: the cute Nina - man, it like pressing things for the last drop here..
Still I'll keep my old favorites in mind - and look closely, when new material comes up..
If she should die - I'll keep those videos/photosets at a safe place (external hd).

I find it amazing that no one (so far) but me chose "she died." I could not watch a porn scene involving my favorite, knowing that she had died, in all likelihood very prematurely. I could say yes when it comes to the other reasons but "she died" has to be number one. I would feel almost ghoulish watching a dead starlet perform.

People still watch movies of Clark Gable and many other actors who died. So whether a porn star died prematurely or not, I honestly do not see why a person has to feel ghoulish watching a film or clip of a dead porn star. You might feel sad the star died prematurely, if that happened, but you could still enjoy the movie or clip without being a sicko.

I know what you are getting at. As I wrote my remarks I was wondering if I was right in my knee-jerk reaction to the subject, after all we still watch Jimmy Dean, Elvis Presley, Clark Gable etc. But to me there's a huge difference between watching "Gone With The Wind" and "Cum Cocktails." While the porn starlets do scenes like that willingly (I hope), I would feel I was demeaning their memory if I watched a hard core scene of theirs after their death. But of course I don't expect the same reaction from everyone. I was just surprised to find myself alone in this.

There's a chance that her stuff will go poof forever and that would be something I would not be happy with.

There are porn babes that change their bods - by starving themselves - very common - or by getting unnattractive clown boobs - very common - or by getting unattractively overweight - not as common in the porn world as the real world, but it happens.
I'll still watch their older scenes enthusiastically, but I've never made a commitment to any porn performer that I'll love every thing they ever do. So if I don't like a new scene, I won't have a problem acknowledging that - and if, like Teagan Presley, the performer gets herself in scrumptious shape once again, I'll be quite happy about and, again, will have no problem acknowledging it.

There wasn't an answer that matched my choice so I picked lost her edge. The main thing that makes me stop watching a certain performer is when she has done everything under the sun with pretty much everybody else. There isn't much of a desire to see a new scene with her because it will be just like the 5 or 10 that she's done since she got in the biz.

We all got our preferences - but a boob-job would in no way keep me from searching/downloading material with favorite models/girls/women.
Actually some of those favorite models already had boob-jobs - and most are just great...

I personally can't see stopping watching Eve Angel. Nothing short of a 12 inch thick beard would stop me!
Though I haven't been downloading Aria Giovanni's few new sets. Don't mind the extra weight at all, but the hairy butt look just isn't for me.

Maybe I've mis-read the question, but I've read it in the context that made sense to me. Some of you read it as asking what would happen if your favorite starlet changed somehow and continued making scenes. I've read it as what would happen if a favorite left the business. For me, to put it in context, all I need to do is think about two of my favorite all time performers, Tammi Ann and Inari Vachs. Nothing except my own death will stop me from watching their scenes. Now if one or both ever came out of retirement and started working, I'm not sure that I'd be so much into their new work. But in their prime, those two lasses pretty much peg the perfect meter for me.

Surprised noone has mentioned contracting a disease. Granted llooking at the percentages it should really be no surprise. For me it would have to be between her death and disease. Losing her edge could very much also take away from her image in my eyes but i would not stop watching just because of it (eg. Melissa Lauren was, to me, one of the most beautiful porn stars and she was just about now of the dirtiest porn stars to grace my computer screens. I loved her for years but then she got boob implants and though the implants do look good on her, her scenes are less hardcore and more "contract-looking" than gonzo. But her beauty would keep me watching those dull scenes (relatively dull compared to her earlier work).
Back to the death vs. disease ... I must say I thought at first death would be my answer and then I thought of Anna Malle and Haley Paige as well as Lea Da Mae (think i spelt that wrong). Anna and Haley especially I loved because of their hardcore style (especially Paige). So I find that I can't turn down the opportunity to watch their scenes. The only difference is I don't go out searching for their scenes. but if I stumble across them I would watch. Even thinking about some of my favorite porn stars right now (eg. Belladonna, Sandra Romain, Naomi, Kelly Divine, Rachel Starr, Lisa & Julia Ann, Marie Luv, Claire Dames, Francesca Le, Audrey Hollander ... to name a few :) ) I would definitely still watch their scenes.
SO for me it would have to be disease because each scenes I watch from the star would have me wondering "is this the scene where she contracted the disease?". It would ruin the scene with me having to wonder.
