Porn is fantasy and real life has no relevance to porn. Living in the San Fernando Valley, I've been involved in occasional cross-overs where I'll bump into a porn star in a store or restaurant.
One example is when I was sitting next to Herschel Savage in a restaurant about 4 years ago. He looked terrible, probably because of the variety of abuses his body had experienced over the years. I also see an occasional nameless but recognizable porn babe in a Target or WalMart. They also look worn out.
Onee exception was Randy West who I saw in, of all places, my orthopedic guy's office (I had shoulder surgery) who looked totally buff and the stud that he always was.
I deal with those encounters the same way I deal with porn. I look but I never engage.

I'm not sure, but "Don't get your hopes up, pervert" and "She's probably not into that" are two thoughts that frequently enter my mind.

Over the years I've noticed that my initial thoughts are perhaps a little more sexualized than what they might have otherwise been. However, it's usually just a second and then it's back to reality. You're not going to get too far with the ladies if you're a total perv about it.

I'm not sure if it's due to watching porn or it's a question of being more mature but I no longer feel as tongue tied when I mmeet beautiful women. I also look to see if the beauty is skin deep or if there is an actual decent person under those looks.

Why would porn be any different than watching any other movie or television show? When watching we know that it is acting. Even now, with submitted vid websites. You see that all people have private and public lives and they are often very different. You have to respect that, and leave it on the computer. I may occasionally wonder what someone is like in their private life, but i did that before porn, lol.

No - but still:
Us 'older' guys did not have this global netporn in our puberty (except for those 'girlie magazine' - the soft deal and sure, some more rare hc, too) - and I'm a bit gratefull for that.
I'm more concerned about the really young people now - concerned that all this porn (bless it, though) - can give young lads a somewhat wrong picture of love and sex ect.
In US you call it 'adult' - keep it that...

I say there's a huge difference between watching an actress 'act' in a serious or semi-serious role and seeing her masturbate or get pounded like a jackhammer, and this is regardless of whether or not she is attractive. Whether the girls who do all their fucking on screen are acting or not is kind of irrelevant when it's almost guaranteed that audiences are going to have different reactions watching porn compared to the ones they have when they watch non-porn entertainment.
In any event the question was more about your attitude towards attractive women you meet, not necessarily about meeting bona fide porn talent like Monahan apparently has (lucky bastard!).

REPLY TO #6 - Denner :
I'm still worried about the mainstreaming of porn. Don't get me wrong; I want all the legal and social protections possible but I don't necessarily want everyone into it as much I am. I think this ends up making porn more generic and also more stupider--think BangBros and you might understand what I'm getting at.
Part of what I like about porn is that it is not totally accepted or at least not totally loved by the society at large. Granted this has its risks like legal snafus and restrictions that end up negatively affecting other parts of society but I still like to think that I am part of a small but strong minority rather than just another big meaningless group. This is probably why I can't stand things like Playboy or porn awards and sales figures.
I guess this means porn really hasn't changed my attitude of even the most attractive females I meet because you don't know whether the subject of porn or a viewpoint influenced by it is going to get you a nice warm hug or a swift punch in the face.

Well spoken - and apart from that - and maybe more for us PUs, I really dig this line:
'.......I think this ends up making porn more generic and also more stupider--think BangBros and you might understand what I'm getting at.'

I don't know about attractive women, but since getting into amateur porn, there aren't too many women I can't picture with their ankles up around their ears. And sometimes that not a good visual!

Watching porn is watching fantasy, a movie or clip. Is James Bond real? How long would a real James Bond last, taking all the risks he does? Do porn stars fuck and suck as much as they do on-screen? Kinda doubtful they do.

Well... I had them around as in close to. If you took it any further than that, you're even more twisted than me! :laughs:
