Well... yes. I mean, it'd be very informative and it would keep websites sort of well maintained.
Of course it doesn't have to mean that but it could.
Most websites with trial memberships are usually better than the ones without, or at least that's what I noticed.

The reason for this poll is so that webmasters of other sites if they are reading will offer trial memberships. I believe most people will say yes to this poll leaving it obvious that people want trial memberships. Out of all the porn sites on the internet there are just not enough trial memberships, and if they do they are usually limited. I hate limited trial memberships because I don't get to see everything the site offers. Atleast make the trial full access with a download limit so people dont just join to download everything in sight. Anyways I think its good for the sites because it could bring in extra potential customers. People may join and realize that they really enjoy the site and want to become a member. So charge 5 dollars for full trial access the site will still be pulling in extra money. Make it for 3 days with download limits. The site has nothing to lose and everything to gain. It also lets people with not alot of money have a taste of a pay site without having to pay the full monthly price. The people get to experiment with many sites and find the one that is correct for them, other then joining a site that they may not like in the long run. SO YES FOR FULL ACCESS TRIAL MEMBERSHIPS!!!

GG Your Explaining in this poll Is great Nygiants03. Ive couldnt had sayed it better myself, I agree completey, Rather download limit then being able to just acess half all content, ore why not If your site provides both streaming and Download in monthly membership, Then make the trail only streaming that means he has acess to all content for 3 days but will not be albe to see any of your sites things after trail if he doesnt Join.

I also think that newer sites should have reduced rates until the content is built up to the point it is worth the standard 29.95 per month charge demanded by established quality sites.

Yes I think they should offer trials although only with limited access or a download limit otherwise they will lose too much money. Everyone would just go for the trial and download everything on broadband within a couple of days and then just cancel. Unlimited trials would be great for the consumer but the webmaster needs to make money to keep going.

This is a great question and I think it's elicited a lot of good responses. I think every site should offer a trial, but at the same time I respect a webmaster not wanting to give away his full product. I wouldn't even mind a DRM restriction for the trial if it was that important, although a hate DRM so I'd go with download limits as someone here suggested. And I am VERY onboard with the idea of sites not charging full price right away when they have very little content to offer yet. Sure you are joining on the faith that the collection will get built up, but how many times have we all been burned there. Last, if you are going to offer a limited access trial, then state up front that such is the case and give us at least some idea of how much we'll get to see as a member. If done right it'd be like a movie trailer, but in most cases now it's not fully disclosed and folks feel cheated. If all webmasters were up front I think most people would respect that and we'd have to pitch in by discouraging people that fly in and want to download everything off the site in one swoop...by not doing it.

I voted yes, and want to add something in here. If a site doesn't offer a trial, then they should have a reduced monthly price, if not, then they should have a minimum of one free video preview. Maybe less than 5 minutes on the free video and 20-30 free (same resolution as members get) pictures.
The General Entertainment sites don't offer trials, but each of them have discounted prices through TBP for $15 a month and their top 2 sites, Eve Angel and Mya Diamond both have hundreds of video clips and picture sets. I have noticed that more of the full access trials are getting higher in price. The good thing, most of those are 5-7 day trials as well, instead of the just waiting to hit me with a charge because I can't get the billing company to cancel in 2 days trials.
Last, the site that goes through my mind when reading this poll and the comments is Annette Dawn's personal site. It says exclusive, the numbers are probably up to double digit pic sets and video sets by now, but it is priced at $24.99. It would be a shame for such a beautiful model not to ever get her own site going because of the person over her site starting the price too high and offering no preview.

Obviously the typical system stinks: they offer an inexpensive "trial" and
then don't allow access to the entire site. This of course is to prevent someone from spending three days in a row downloading the entire site, then quitting. Fair enough. They simply need to set things up so that "trial memberships" only allow viewing, not downloads. Unless you get to see the resolution of the vids, you don't know what you're buying. The fact that many auto-renew trial memberships at a high rate is a practice that should be outlawed, by the way.

I agree completely. Your key point is "web-sites have nothing to lose." Successful sites have to get you in the door unless they are relying on hype instead of quality. It amazes me that there are still web-sites that act like carnival barkers with promises about what's on "the inside" without showing anything at all on their preview pages.
I first turned to this review site because I wanted more information before commiting my $30-$40 to any web-site.

HELL YEAH!! Please do that!! I want to know all the time what I am getting myself into before I proceed! I check out a particular website and it looks real good to me, I'm talking the intercourse looks like it will end in a body cumshot, the girls are gorgeously amazing and very rock hardening, they do stand up poses for the camera... But after I join the website, It's a bunch of horse crap!!! I mean I am already crying and bitching about too many facial cumshots, hell yeah I'd like to trial run a site before I go full raw dawg or I'll get even more hysterical!!
By the way, who's the friggin' 11% that said "NO?!" Come on guys, get with the program! WHY NOT?!

Some honest, quality sites might be worried that they would lose money if they offered $3-4 full access trials. But if sites aren't willing to do a $3 full-access, trial, they should at least go for a $8 one, like Scoreland.com. It seems to me that the Score guys are out to squeeze every penny that they can out of their customers; which tells me that $8 for a trial is not a money-losing proposition, otherwise they wouldn't be so stupid as to continue it.

I noticed that some people said this in the poll about how the site would lose money if the people just allowed people full trial access for cheap.. I don not understand how the site could or would lose money if they offer a trial, whats it to them to have people view there content. The content is already there so it makes no difference how many people view it. I bet you
a site could make more money off little trials then memberships. So say 10 trials for every member join, and if the trial was say 5 dollars and the site was 25 thats double the profit. So put a gigabyte download restriction if it means that much to the site, thats plenty of content for most people, and people who really enjoy the content will probably join anyways.

Precisely right. Full access trials tell me that the site Webmaster is confident that it's good enough to attract me to invest a full monthly fee.
The worst idea is this 2 or 3 day "limited" trial nonsense where you pay to see birtually nothing.

I think so, just like many computer software has a trial.
Potential customers would like to see inside the members area, and exactly what they could get with a full-blown membership. I feel that site's that don't offer any kind of trial membership perhaps have something to hide. Maybe their content isn't as advertised on the signup page?
Although there are a few sneaky sites, that if one subscribes to the trial that lasts 3 days for example, after that if the rebills haven't been cancelled, it not only converts to a full-blown membership, but it's a premium price membership, more expensive that it would normally be.
One of the networks that come to mind for doing this is Bangbros.
So in a nutshell, trials are great and should be offered by sites.. but they shouldn't rebill. You pay say $5 for a 3 day trial, and after 3 days that's it.

Very good question.
I believe that every adult website should have a trial option simple because users would be able to have a look of what they will buy.

I would prefer an in-depth preview, with actual membership resolution preview videos and photos.
Trial memberships are a pain in the ass, a good preview like available on AbbyWinters.com is much faster, more informative, and easier.
