I usually watch on my laptop but when I do watch on TV, I have my main PC connected to it directly.

If I ever watched it on tv, I burned it or used my HDTV card from my pc to my tv.

I only burnt Porn to DVD twice but a) found the picture not as good on my TV and b) didn't want to have Porn kicking around the house so, ever since, it's been "I don't watch it on TV."

I usually watch it right from my PC monitor but once in a while I plug my laptop into my TV and play the vids on my home network.

I've been holding back on ever watching from tv. For one, my tv ain't that great. Second, I'm afraid that if I do start watching on the ultimate "boob tube" that I'm just going to want more and find myself filling up more hard drives of stuff because I'll want the highest possible quality vids. Ignorance is bliss for me ... for now.

I use a an external HD plugged directly in to a PS3 via USB to watch videos and photos. I never have a problem with pics but a few videos do not decode correctly. This usually are a few WMVs and AVI files. However, for the most part, I have great success and can enjoy vids on a 42 inch LCD. This is usually why I look for at least 1280 X 720 or higher sized files with a decent bitrate.

If I want to wath it on TV then I burn it to a DVD.
I'd love to be able to hook my computer up to my TV but I'm not sure how I'd play the movies since the computer is ina different room as my TV.

On a rare occasion I tend to hook up an HDD to my media player to watch some incredible HD video.
But the comfort of a PC is hard to ignore. So I prefer my PC.

Without moving your PC next to your TV, your best bet would be to get a media player like a Popcorn Hour. Run a network cable between that and your PC and then you will be able to stream and play anything you have on your PC on your TV.

Thanks Frosty.
Would that allow me to access different movies on the drive and pause fast forward and so forth?

Yes, you would get a folder / file browser that you can use to select the file you want to play. The media player will come with a remote control so controlling the playback is the same as with a DVD player.
Also most of them support usb hard drives so if you dont want to run cables everywhere, just copy what you want to play to the hard disk and them plug it into the media player.

This thought never even occurred to me. I even have an HTPC, but I never thought to put porn on it.
