They can charge somebody else money to read their error messages. I have no interest in paying for a few days of nothing.

Then ask the billing company for a refund and drop the dramatics.
Every site has hosting issues at some point in their life, and your sensationalized comment gives very little of actual value except just to add another negative mark on some site.
How am I able to determine whether they deserve the negative mark, or if you are just an incredibly impatient surfer? Was the site down for just one day? Two? A week? Intermittently? Were you denied a refund?
