You're really complaining about $1 difference due to currency conversion? To be fair, a site would be hard pressed to get the costs closer given the ups and downs of currency conversion.

My bank charges me a small fee for currency conversion. The website charges me US dollars and I pay in US dollars. The website does not pay the costs of currency conversion, I do. I am positive as I used to work in foreign exchange in a major European bank on Wall Street. The website is antagonizing potential customers for just a few pennies. Do they really need to do this? They do this by choice as only CCBill enables them, not Epoch or other billers.

Seriously, users here are over-reacting way too much on this piddly stuff.
Look, either the site has good material, or the site does not have good material. If it has good material, is it that much of a crime to pay an extra fifty cents?
I'm still going on a year subscription to Sapphic Erotica, while the next guy waits the full year buys a 1-month subscription and does a site rip for much much less cost.
Should I go around this site writing how pissed off I am because I paid more money for the same amount of material for every site there is?
There comes a time to just accept that the world is not perfect and never will be.

Hi Justme,
I think you may be misunderstanding why I posted this. I agree this is "piddly stuff". Yes it is small and of course I can pay an extra few cents.
However, my reasons for posting are two: the first is that the webmaster is reading this, as witness a previous posting. If you have someone's ear, take advantage. Most webmasters don't come to PU and post. Regional pricing is a point that is not worth talking about if those who use it don't ever know how customers feel.
That leads to my second reason. If we say nothing we get exactly what we deserve. Complaints here and of course the problems webmasters had in keeping customers got rid of DRM. We can't take all the credit of course, but we have over 10,000 members at PU and probably have at least that many who visit the site and don't join. We have a degree of power. Any webmaster who doesn't care about issues we customers have would lose in the marketplace.
I worked for 35 years in business, mostly in customer service. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. No complaints, business as usual. Complaints may represent a lot more people than the one voice you hear. Most people never complain, they just vote with their pocketbook.
You may not feel that this is worth getting excited about. Yes this is only a few pennies. Most sites are more expensive and regional pricing is dollars more. It is not about the amount, but the principal of the thing.

Secretease com (Suspended)
|
Hello,
As of the 24th Oct regional pricing was removed from the site. People will appreciate I don't speak on behalf of the industry and other sites. RP was being experimented with and seemed a complicated way to set any sort of fair pricing in my opinion.
So the US dollar price displayed on the site is now the price displayed on the CCBill sign up page.
Secretease is a relatively new site but the membership is growing. Prices are set a low as possible to offset expenses but also to enable more shoots and content.
The site is a labour of love/lust ;-)
Regards,
~Mitch~
