While I believe that CCBill is the best of the credit card transaction companies, I won't exclude sites that use other services, such as Paycom. However, before I join any site that is not CCBill, I make sure that I have a URL for their customer support page as well as clear instructions for how to cancel my subscription. If I am not comfortable, like if the support sites looks put together by a 4-year old, then I won't risk my credit card number.
A quick question: does anyone have experience using those 1-time credit card numbers from Mastercard or Visa? I've thought about using those for my subscriptions but I haven't tried it yet. Let me know what you think.

I prefer CCBill and Paycom, I haven't had one problem out of either. I have used NetBilling as well, but I'm not real fond of their cancellation system, it is usually somewhere in small letters on the actual site. I like going to CCBill or Paycom, clicking cancel subscription then receiving the email that says it has been cancelled. You don't get that with netbilling, they may send a confirmation one time, but not the next. The worst part about the other billing services is that you can't put your member ID in to see that it is cancelled in their system like on CCBill or Paycom. Last, CCBill and Paycom also have your password and username on their site in case you lose them, so you don't have to wait for the site to email your info.

I agree. CCBill and Paycom. Always accurate, always trustworthy. Forget the rest.

I do sort of prefer things like Verisign.
But if I really want a membership to that specific site, it doesn't really matter that much.

HELL YEAH!! I cannot send my hard earned money to anyone I can trust... Basic law of common sense!!
CCBill seems to have their shit together!! I really don't know of those otha sites because I never encountered them!!
However, if a join a site that uses another billing company and they have THEIR shit together, then it's all good!!

I don't know if it's a sign of how good they are but most of my transactions have been through CCBILL, but I've also dealt with Verotel, Paycom without any problems. My only requirement is that customer service be easily available, and that cancellation also be very easy. I can remember a couple of times where cancellation was made very difficult needless to say that site has not seen me ever again.

agreed on ccbill and paycom. I would like to see a category for reviewing billing companies. When entering card info, I always check the name on the SSL certificate. I don't like it when porn sites take "up-front" info before passing off to billing site (like zip code or full name).

I prefer Paycom. Their customer support and site search features are lightyears ahead of CCBill. But I will also join CCBill sites but that's about it for high priced sites. Lower priced sites (19.99 or less), then I can experiment.

I would join a site that didn't use the better known billers, but I always feel better about joining a site when they use such services. It's easy to log in and check your subscription info, which is a big plus. Just a nice safety net.

I've used CCBILL, Paycom, Segpay, and Verotel and most of the time haven't had problems with them.
One company that I do NOT trust is DHD Media, as they don't seem to maintain their cancellation forms, so they don't work often enough -- though sometimes they do (depends on the site). I've been erroneously rebilled thanks to them, resulting in hassles.
So my advice to anyone who joins a site with DHD Media is this: if you cancel online but don't get a page that confirms that, cancel by e-mail (and demand a reply) or do it by the toll-free phone number.

I rarely try billing that is not through CCBill or Epoch. I have had problems in the past when tryoing to cancel with billers that I cannot ever find again.
