I wonder what's the point of the watermark anyway. It's not like it stops piracy or anything. Or are there some who use stolen content in their own stuff that they try to sell?

I think the theory is that the watermark is supposed to be a sign of ownership. So the watermark is supposed to discourage piracy. As well as being a form of advertising.
But like I said, and I'm sure a lot of PU members will agree, there's no need for large watermarks. They are just ugly and distracting, and can actually hide part of what you want to see in a video or photo.

I don't particulkarly like them and agree that his happens to be way too big. I know that Pierre has commented on his site that a new scene is out on a torrent/tube site almost immediately after he's updated it to his site. Making the watermark really large makes it next to impossible for anyone to edit it out of the screen by croping the video.
