Cancelling membership out of frustration

This is a great site, and part of a decent network, but the problems keep piling on and I may cancel my membership without downloading everything that I want. That would be a first for me.

My initial problems have been outlined in earlier comments. Those were no network access for which I paid (resolved when the webmaster stepped in), and download speeds that can drop to virtually nothing.

The current problem may be more specific and might not be experienced by all users, but it is still frustrating to me. I use Free Download Manager. I don’t use it to download multiple files at once, I just use it to queue up several files I want to download and then I can leave it unattended for a while and do other things. Video files were no problem at all: I loaded them in FDM and it churned away and downloaded them. Photos were a different story. Sometimes when I wanted to download a zipped photo set I could click on the download link and it would load into FDM and off I’d go. Other times I needed to open the link in a new tab to then download it. I had to check at the beginning of each session which method was needed. That was odd, but I learned to work around it.

But today things have changed again. Today I can’t download video files using FDM. I click on the link and it reads the name of the file to be downloaded, but then FDM reads it as a file name “HD” and downloads a file that is just over 1000kb. The file is a video which tells me that my access is denied. So I’m now left with downloading each file through my browser which means that I have to check my computer regularly to start downloading manually.

Also, as of today I can’t download photo sets using either of the methods that worked before. My access is denied for those too. But keep in mind that access is only denied using FDM – I can still download through my browser.

I haven’t changed any settings on FDM so I really don’t think the problem is on my end. A username and password hasn’t been required before for each download, but I tried that too and that didn’t fix it.

I sent a message to customer support and I’ll wait for their reply, but I’m pretty much fed up with this network. The frustration level is too high. The porn on the site is really top notch, but getting at it can be a chore. I'll submit a detailed review when I hear from customer support and my temper cools off a bit.

From what I understood, reading your post, you complain about two issues, slow downloads and denied access for the third party download software you are trying to use.

Download speeds - we have the fastest download speed available on the market, we cooperate with the leading provider of CDN solutions and we worked hard with to make it perfect, but unfortunately, they had a technical issues this weekend, which have already been solved. Right now, you should download with your maximum speed available by your provider. CDN is a great technology, allows you to download our content from servers located in your city as this technology splits our content in thousands of location worldwide and connect you to the closest one which is very close to your place, sometimes just few hundred meters away.

If you still experience slow downloads, our customer support knows how to handle it. It happens very rare when they dont have temporarily issues.

Second thing is download software. Well, we operate our sites over internet which is accessed by browser. We never said you can use a third part downloaders, I never used it myself. We can not take responsibility over it, we are providing services through browser access and everything works flawless there. So your major frustration is because you cant get FDM working and as I said, this is out of our responsibility.

Download speeds are zero right now. I tried downloading from within my browser and it says the file isn't available right now. Maybe there is a server down.

Your support staff did reply and stated that thrid-party download managers are not necessarily supported, and I agree that you've made no assurances that they would work. They also recommend downloading within the browser. But I'm still left wondering why it worked (and worked well) up until today and now it won't work at all. I realize that isn't your issue to solve and maybe it has to do with the server being used at that time.

Again, thanks. The problem really might be your fault for having such beautiful models! I don't know where you find them, but I'm impressed.

lk2fireone (0) I haven't been downloading a lot from this network lately. And my max download speed is 630 KB/sec, on a DSL line.

But I do use DownThemAll sometimes. I used it this afternoon, to download several files from YoungLegalPorn and 18OnlyGirls.

I had no problems downloading with DownThemAll.

And I regularly hit 620-630 KB/sec for each download.

I used to use FDM, but a couple of Firefox updates ago, there was some compatibility problem, and Firefox disabled FDM for me, and I haven't tried using it since. FDM would be nice to use, because I don't know how to que files up with DownThemAll, I have to start each file manually, except that I can start 4 separate downloads with DownThemAll at the same time, if I want.

Note: I don't get 630 KB/sec on each separate download if I'm downloading more than one file at the same time. But hopefully, the separate downloads add up to around 600-630 KB/sec, if downloading more than one file at the same time.

But sometimes, the total download speed adds up to much less than 600 KB/sec. Not referring to today's action, but from downloads in the past. I don't know why download speeds sometimes come in slower than normal.

lk2fireone (0) I should add that DownThemAll is a good download manager, and it's free.

So maybe you might download it and give it a try.

The only problem with DownThemAll, for me, is that I don't know how to que up the downloads. I have to start each one manually.

But you can manually start up to 4 separate downloads at the same time, if you want. 4 separate files, I mean.

Maybe someone who's more tech savvy will know how to cue up files with DownThemAll. We could start a thread for that.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into that. I seem to recall that DownloadThemAll only works with Firefox though. Do you use Firefox or Explorer?

Also, the thing I use FDM for is for queing up downloads. That way I'm not stuck at the computer all day.

It still seems odd that FDM worked fine for more than a week and suddenly stopped...

It's probably better to delete your email address from a public post, or you might be opening yourself to spammers.

Write a note to PU if you can't delete the email address from the post (because of time limit, you can't change or edit a post after 10 minutes or a reply to that post, which is part of PU rules).

You don't want a good email address published in a public area.

I get a ton of spam every day, and I've tried to keep my email address private.
