Occassionally. When I give trust rating to someone I notice writes solid reviews, I usually take time to go through others I might not have rated who appear worth it. However I never give ratings I feel are not deserved.

I did it a couple of times but i seldom do it. And when i do, do it i read at a minimum one review they posted to see if they are worth a trust rating.

REPLY TO #3 - Capn :
This was going to be my reply.
I try and encourage when I see a person trying to give a nice review.
I still have a nagging 1 negative from the first review a person did not like cause was short. And now its stuck with me, so I try and give newbies a chance a trust usually comes with feedback, or a reply to their review.

No and I'm sure that I've never given a positive trust rating to many other member's who's reviews and participation I appreciate.

I searched, but I did not brown-nose. I always feel that I can only approve of people who deserve trust. And besides, everyone loved getting those gold stars on their school papers when they were 7 years old; the trust ratings are the same thing except that they're for post-pubescent, filthy-minded pornography addicts.
I see it as well as a more meaningful expression of mutually assured user-to-user fidelity than simply agreeing with someone on the forum.
Let's face it, positive trust ratings are important!
It's an exercise in community building, and how many communities get built out of a mind frame that is bereft of opportunism?
And hey, did it ever win me $50? $100? I'll never know. More often than not, it didn't win me anything.
But at least somebody got something good out of it! Right?
And finally -- and this is key, my friends -- the Keepers of PU didn't set up the raffle in order to get us to feel guilty about the opportunities it presents us. So why should we ever be guilting each other for it?

Yes now and then i use the trust votes to grab some raffle tickets usually in the odd weeks where i have no reviews or comments to make.

It honestly never occurred to me. I didn't even know there was any reward tied to it. I just give them to newcomers who gave one or two good and fair reviews because they deserve it and not because of what I can get out of it.

I feel really bad about this but I rarely think to tag someone with a trust rating. But I would never do that just to pad my points.
I'll make amends and add some trust ratings because they probably are important to newer members who don't know the regulars here.

I'm like cap'n, I try to trust them as soon as they seem trustworthy, and hopefully they'll contribute more.

Never...
One only has to see the difference in my trust scores verses most other regulars.
I've been approached by a very few who suggests a you-scratch-my-back an I'll-scratch-yours propersition..... But it gets nixed at the bud.

I can't leave a trust rating as Tom needs to fix that.
