Ive mostly joined Networks when most times I feel you dont get same value of your money on single sites when it comes to how much content and updates when compared to networks. What I do hate is inexclusive networks addin lots of content but you dont know really were it comes from then becoming more of a dvd-site without the option to categorize the files by dvd:s name they content may come from.
Tho Ive have been member to single sites to otherwise I wouldnt compare it when there is some big diffrences between Networks and Sites standing on there own

For special sites I really like that offer a bargain multi-month price, I often get a 2 or 3 month subscription if the price is right.

The only one I keep on longterm membership is Easynews ($9.95 a month) 'cause at Easynews there is a way to a massive and diffenrent daily updates.
I know the sites wants us to keep being a member for a long period and hope some of us forget to cancel, I guess.
But even for my more favorite sites, I think it's better to return after some time and get a whole bunch of updates.
After all, it's somewhat more exiting to search for new sites - and sometimes be disapointed - but then again, you got your favorites to go back to.
Few of us can afford to spend several hundred dollars each month....

I have done it on ocassion, but usually was thinking with my libido rather than my brain. However, I think more sites should offer $10 rebills since I think you'd keep a lot of people that way. Once the newness of a site has worn off, most people balk at $25 rebills. Maybe they'd stay, as long as there is regularly updated content.

There's a saying I heard once: Don't let yer dick run yer life. Hey, I don't do that. But I think that $99 for a year is a good deal with a site like Met-Art, which churns out 3-4 photosets per day.
Some days, of course, it's just view and close ... but I still don't want to look at my monitor and wonder if I'm missing something really hot.

I've never intentionaly bought a multi month membership, but I have forgotten to cancel the rebill a couple of times. I can't see the appeal of staying with a website for more than a month. That said I don't mind joining the same website more than once in a year, but realistically speaking how much new stuff will be added in the following month, and those is warrant spending the usual 29$ or so dollars? In my opinion, no.

I rarely ever get a multi-month contract unless I REALLY like the site or the multi-month offers a HUGE discount as apposed to just getting a one month membership.

Rarely will a site make it a bargain to join for more than one month.

If it's a site I love, like Met Art or ALS Scan, well then, I'm damned sure going to take advantage of a multi-month deal - why not?

I did that way back in 2004 with Danni.com when the site was superbly managed and had state of the art technical features. The 3 month price was good and I couldn't see myself letting the membership expire.
A lot has happened since then; Danni "retired," the support staff became non-responsive and the DRM made all archived stuff unavailable.
I signed up again for a month and found a site that is still in a sad state of repair. The multi-price is still available, but who would want to sign up for more than one month?

I do but its not common. Most of the time there is no point, because you can rejoin in a few months and get all the previous months material for no charge.
