DownThemAll! Worked for me last time without issues. It's a Firefox addon.

Yeah cheers for that I'm normally on opera but tried it with the firefox browser and got it to work but sadly just the same speeds as without the download manager, starts well and quarter of the way in we are down to 300-400 speeds, very annoying indeed.
Infact just checked and its stopped altogether now.

I use Free Download Manager successfully on the site. I use it to queue up downloads. The only problem is that the links seem to go dead fairly quickly so I can't load more than five or six files at one time. As for speed, I didn't have a problem.
Free Download Manager has stopped working for me and until I can figure out what went wrong I'm using a trial of Internet Download Manager. IDM worked fine on a sister site.

Did you see my long reply to your forum post suggesting looking at firewall settings etc?

Did you increase the maximum number of segments per download in the advanced tab of DownThemAll preferences? That said, I always limit my downloads to a single segment, whatever DM I use; but segmenting may help if you want speed.
Though if the site operates software that limits the total bandwidth per file, or per IP address, segmenting will not help.

Yeah tried with free download manager as well as downthemall but the same thing on both of them starts well then drops to 300 mark so takes ages but it does fluctuate massively

Yes I did - thanks for that and I meant to reply. I'm coming to the end of a few memberships and rather than trying to fix FDM now I'm just using IDM while I have the free trial. Once my memberships expire I plan to follow your advice and try to find the problem. IDM works well and I've discovered how to do what I want with it but I'm reluctant to spend the $25 to licence it when free software will do everything I need. When I get started on the repair I may have to check in with you.

Worth a try though it is probably the site, given what you said.

Ok so now I have this issue. Did you ever manage to solve it? DL managers give me server errors, trickle to 0 b/s or refuse to start at all. Normal download starts at 300-500 KB/s without ever getting better.
Strange though that the first download of a day starts at 12 MB/s and finishes quickly while subsequent ones do not. I rarely seem to get more than 3 scenes out of this site in a day.
A hidden limit maybe?

Hi RustyJ
No I could never get it better than 300-500 kbs, it would start high with mine around 1400 kbs but come down to around 500 mark very soon and would drop abit but never go higher either.
It was the same with the download manager though, didn't improve it at all for me.
I got all I wanted a couple of weeks ago so haven't downloaded for 2 weeks, maybe it is some new hidden limit been put into place

Thanks for the reply. Actually I seem to get better results turning segmenting off from DownThemAll! and not having too many downloads running at once. But still it's way worse than it used to be!
