If a site provides size info and gives me a choice, I'll choose a smaller size to see if the video is something I want at a higher def level.
If a site doesn't tell me the size, my download manager does, so I'll kill the download before it's completed.
I seldom will download anything bigger than 1.0 gb.

Sometimes. They're the times when the super humongous download isn't necessary because the steroid-driven option b will suffice.

It's a pet peeve of mine that some sites don't give members a choice when it comes to the size of their video files. I'm already not a huge fan of HD so if all I can download are those types of files then it stands to reason that I'll pick and choose even more what I do or don't download.

Damn if my responses aren't getting repetitive.
In today's world, you usually have choices as to the size of a file you want to download, so it would be hard to not download the file if you wanted it.
And you will see plenty of external hard drive threads on the forum, so space has become less an issue.
And because my niche is so narrow and especially if I'm hot on a performer, size doesn't matter. (yeah, I know, she didn't say that!)

Rarely - I generally like to download the highest quality version but some true HD 1080 files are so huge I'll compromise and go for the next resolution down.

Thats what she said hahaha.
I like the biggest that yields the best results.
Some are so big that really the definition is not noticed.
I did a test on EveAngel recently three videos of size.

Hopefully I'm not the only guy who thinks that (file) size doesn't matter, though my hard drives would disagree (some of the emails in my spam folder would also seem to disagree, almost to the point of making me think they're not reputable sources!).
But I do like larger resolutions, thinking somehow that one day I'll be using a projector to display my downloads instead of some creaky LCD monitor, thus the higher resolution the better. Of course this isn't the kind of thing you share with a family and probably not even most friends, so it'll probably require a bit of antisocial madness (and probably a house with good insulation if I'm playing them on surround sound). Maybe I'll even be ranting to myself, growing a beard and locked in alone, á la Leonardo Dicaprio as Howard Hughes. A man can dream. :-0

I can't imagine that I'd ever encounter a scene that I wanted that I thought was too big a download. I've downloaded scenes that exceeded 5GB, though those are rare. With a fast internet connection and harddrive space being so cheap, I don't see any real limits. All that might change if my ISP ever imposes bandwidth caps.
Having said all of the above, I had gone through a phase where I downloaded the best available, which was often 1080p. I've since rethought that and now download 720p because for 95% of my viewing the additional resolution makes no difference.

I don't care about the filesize. High speed connection and download managers make it as easy to download a 15 GB file as a 100MB preview. The biggest files I bumped into were the ones from fuckinggamble, they are about 16GB for the full version (3-4h 1080 though) However, I avoid certain sites when I see that their files are big and the quality is sub par. Recently, naughtyamerica has fallen into that category.

Can't remember where it came from, but somewhere along the line I picked up a 22 gig copy of Avatar. It now resides on 3 drives for safe keeping. I haven't seen anything close to that size anywhere else so I guess it's safe to assume I'll download and keep just about anything.

Unless lengthy clips contain a sizable amount of what I want ... and really like, I skip over it.
My purpose for that is simply to conserve space on my hard drive.
On the lone site from which I mostly download, and maintain an ongoing membership, I simply pack a lot of those big files in their favorites..... avoiding the hassle of dumping it on my C-drive.
