No objections to this whatsoever.

I don't like them, but are OK if unchecked at default.

I don't mind cross-sells per say. I'm an old hand at them so checked on un-checked isn't an issue for me but I prefer that they be un-checked simply for other people who aren't and would get stuck with a site they didn't want and a cost they really didn't need.

Cross sells are ok if unchecked, but most cross sells that I've seen are still checked, as the default option.
I think I only got caught once with a pre-checked cross sell. I immediately (within 5 minutes or less) called the billing company, but they would not reverse the charge.
So I spend a lot of time whenever I sign on to a new site, looking for the cross sell. Sometimes they are hard to find.

I think Cross sells tell me personally that they are about selling me stuff not providing me serves I am asking for. I also find ads on the site wrong, I paid for the site why do I need your ads?

It's just that they're always pre-checked. Otherwise there's not much point in doing them in the first place.
