Might be interesting to see the responses to a poll using only terabytes as the unit of measure. I've crossed the 4TB mark, for example.

I'm at 2 TB but I could easily be at a lot more. I currently only have a 2 TB external drive so I have from time to time to delete some files to make room for others. Not that it's a huge issue as I find that some files is stuff that I more or less cared for at some point but don't remotely care for now.

I do less collecting now but always keep it under one TB otherwise the collection just gets too "messy" ... it's current state I prefer keep under the tagline "complicated".

I submitted this poll a while ago and would have updated if I had known they were going to use it again. Funny how things change in a year. I'm also at around 4 TBs.

My collection totals about 9.5 Tb. It's got enough rare stuff in it, including copies of some sites that I tried for years to find, that I take backups seriously. I back it up in duplicate, one backup at home, and one off site. So that comes to nine 4Tb hard drives. It sounds costly, but it's cheap compared to the time and money I put into my collection.

Ugh... I guess I'm going to look like a real pervert when I say that I have between 20 and 25 TB in my collection. And that's on the primary drives. I have it all backed up too. I am a bit of a hoarder but for me the collecting is as much fun as the having. I did a major cull last year of all the low resolution stuff I had (except for the scenes that I will never part with no matter how low the resolution is).
With a collection of this size I need a good method of cataloguing it. This may not be the best method, but when I started this it worked great, but now I have a 250+ page MS Word table listing the DVD or site name in the first column, the female talent in the second column and the drive number in the third column. It's alphabetized using column one but I generally use it more for word searches now.
Now if you'll excuse me I have some porn to download...

While I might not brag about the size of mine, (I mean, size doesn't really count now does it?), I would venture that the author of this poll should have started with less than 1T and worked up in five T chunks. IMO that would have been more revealing - as you can tell from the responses. And to those that responded to this poll I want to shout out a thanks for propping up my tech stocks.
