I'm more into collecting photos and videos rather than taking part in a live, interactive experience. Plus I think my wife would be jealous, and maybe annoyed at the standard $1 per minute price.

Granted the exorbitant cost of most cam shows is a major factor for why I don't like them. The first and by far the most important reason is still that I don't have any interest in watching a woman play with herself through a camera that offers only one angle, no pan, no zoom and overall visual quality is not necessarily all that great. I daresay that most people who enjoy cam shows do so more for the interaction of the model with the visitors than the actual sex(if there is any).

Remember the old DHD site (Danni Ashe - Danni's Hard Drive)? That was my initial foray into internet porn. I suspect that, as a video tape renter I was blown away by the easy access to so much content, albeit soft core and formula driven. The quality was OK but the cost was super compared to the crap shoot of renting stuff from the local video store.
They had some rather primitive interactive "live" stuff (free) that I found slightly interesting but it got boring rather quickly. When I encountered the cam stuff on sites, I skipped past it without any thought of trying it just because I am not keen on boring porn.

This is something that I've never had an interest in at all. I can't really explain why, but the reasons that pat gives are certainly part of it. The cost is definitely a factor too.
