Fetish Network
Apart from kink.com, there are not many high quality bdsm sites available. For some reason, those sites are either insanely expensive, or they are offering low quality videos... or both. Fetish Network looks like a real exception to this, so I decided to give it a try.
The network is offering a bunch of different sites, each one focusing on one specific type of fetish: bdsm (doh!), spanking, smothering, brutal castin etc. However, many of those sites are dead, just a few of them are updated more or less frequently.
Navigation
The sites are all looking pretty similar, plain black/red layout, lots of stuff to click. Although the design is not as stylish as you could expect it to be in 2016, it does it's job. Browsing is the main issue. There is NO model directory! If you are looking for a specific model, you have to brwose thorugh the entire network update history to find her. Oh, there is a search bow, where you can enter the model's name, but unfortunately, it doesn't work.
Videos
Videos are coming in four different types (streaming or download)
-UDHD 4320p
-Full HD 1080p
-HD 720p
-SD 576p
A 16 minute UDHD video is about 1,5GB large, the corresponding 1080p video just takes 300MB of your hdd. Wait... 300MB for a 16 minute 1080? Right, that's what it is.
Surprise: the "UDHD" videos are actually 720p videos. This is simply cheating and false advertising!
Download
The second big issue I had with this network is the download speed. Sitting on a pretty healthy 60mbit pipe, I managed to get a whopping 200kb/s download speed on all videos, which means a 2 hour download for a 1,5GB file. I though the 90ies are over... little did I know.
Bottom line
This network is wasting a lot of potential. It could be a real alternative to the allmighty kink empire, but the drawbacks are just way too serious to make this happen. For now, my recommendation is to stay away. |
