Excellent review.
I'm curious what you pay for your internet access.
I pay $40/month, which is a discounted rate, to Time Warner Cable, in California.
When I download files (photo sets, videos) from the internet, my max speed is about 5 MB/sec.
That would be equivalent to 8 * 5 = 40 Mbps.
A capital B stands for Byte.
A small b stands for bit.
1 byte = 8 bits
Are you really getting 22 to 25 MB/sec?
Or are you getting (22 to 25 Mb/sec) divided by 8 = 2.75 to 3.125 MB/sec?
Also, how much are you paying for internet access?
I'm paying $40/month, for internet access only. That does not include TV or phone access.
What I'm asking is, are the rates so much cheaper in Canada, that you can afford very high speed internet access?
If I paid more, I could have a faster internet connection, but 5 MB/sec speed is OK for me.

Good job. Just wish his camera work was better than one on a tripod.....

Thanks for the comment.
I’m not very technically-minded so I was worried that I might have misread my specs. But I checked and I do see download speeds of 25MB/s using Internet Download Manger. Could IDM make a difference?
I wish I could tell you how much I’m paying for this but I can’t with any certainty because my wife pays that bill and our internet service is bundled with two separate landlines, one cellphone with long distance and data, and TV. One advantage that we may have is that we have fiberop right to the house. I realize that many ISPs get fiberop into neighbourhoods, but I have a fiberop line right into a box in my house. I think if the internet was bought as a stand-alone service it’d pretty pricey. Looking at their pricing guide I think I’d pay between $80 and $100 per month. It’s lower than that for me because of the bundle.
Having said all that, I may have to update my answer because for some reason my internet connection is really slow right now. I did a speed test that showed it much slower than I’m used to. Then I went to an active membership I have at Swallow Salon where I see fast downloads and tried downloading last week’s update again. The file size is 1.08GB and I know when I downloaded it last week it took about a minute. Tonight I’m seeing 1MB/s and the download would have taken more than eight minutes if I let it continue. But I know that it was only a minute or so last week.
I suspect that the rates are likely higher here in Canada. They certainly are for cellphones.
I hope some of this helps.

Thanks for the reply.
It sounds like you are paying a very low rate for your services.
I'm paying $40/month for 5 MB/sec download access.
That is not a bundle:
That does not include TV access or landline access or cell phone access.
And that is a low rate in California, because other service providers I checked wanted much higher rates.
But everyone seems to want to sell bundled services.
