Penthouse going all digital Looks like penthouse is planning to discontinue it's magazine and go digital only from here on out. In my opinion, this could be a really great move. I'm sure they spent a lot of money producing their print magazine, but in today's world the print format for magazines doesn't confer much value over digital. I know I would be much more likely to check out their website than buy another Penthouse magazine - haven't bought one since high school. Now they can hopefully take the resources they previously devoted to the print magazine and instead focus on producing more great content and better marketing their website. How do you guys and girls feel about this? Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off. | |

It's been many, many years since I bought a magazine copy of Penthouse or Playboy. Like you said, their time has passed. And most magazines, and newspapers, in the Internet age, have either disappeared completely, or are having a very difficult time. Digital seems the only option. But with the widespread availabilty of porn sites, do Penthouse or Playboy have much reason to exist any more? Penthouse and Playboy hit their peak in the 1970s. But they missed their chance to be significant since then. And too many competitors have arrived since then. So the chances of Penthouse or Playboy becoming important again seem dim. Too bad. But that's the way the business world works. | |

I miss the days of magazines. I still own a huge collection of vintage playboy but nothing past the 90s. I love how porn magazines were back then especially Playboy.
