Question about credit card billers

Two questions about billers that someone may have the answer to:

When there is a primary and a secondary biller is it possible to select the one you want? Sometimes the primary is a company that I’d prefer not to do business with as they make cancelling difficult. (I’m looking at you Centrobill and Customercare.co.)

Is there a way to join a site through the biller itself? I normally join sites through TBP to support them with any referral fees but I found a site I’d like to join and the join page is screwed up and the link to join just cycles back through to the same page. The site says it bills through CCBill. I’ve emailed the site owner to see about getting it fixed but I’m wondering if there is a way I can go to CCBill, find the site and join through there. Any thoughts?

If anyone is interested, the site is http://mastersfeet.com/

1. Some sites offer a choice in who you can pay the bill to but others don't. Usually they will have a way to check the one you wish. (They use more than one company for various areas so they may restrict which ones you can choose.)

2. Most billing companies have the sites listed on them. However, when you click on the site you are sent there to join. You can email the billing company or call them if you want to join a certain site as most have toll free numbers these days. "Dogs think people are Gods. I posted this a while back, because I thought it might be useful. Because some card processors are less reliable than others.

PU member standard posted a tip on how to switch to a more trusted payment processor (like Epoch or CCBILL).

"standard (25) Thanks for giving everyone a heads up. I try to do the BangBros trick someone mentioned in their review/complaint with EVERY website that doesn't use Epoch these days:

If Epoch isn't the primary biller, enter everything correctly except for your credit card's expiration date. Make it a year in the future, and the system will reject it.

Repeat the year-in-the-future wrong date when it tells you there was an error and prompts you to re-enter your info.

On the third time (possibly fourth?), and assuming Epoch is a secondary biller, it should give you a different error message and say something like "please wait while you're redirected."

The Epoch page should appear next."

I checked out that site for you, did everything short of clicking "complete transaction," and CCBill now seems to be working fine. Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off.

I'll definitely try this sometime when I prefer the secondary biller. This is a good tip. Thanks.

I'm not sure what's going on but I checked the site again after reading your post but this time I did it on my iPad and everything seems fine. I figured that the site may have been undergoing some maintenance on Sunday morning. Using my iPad and going to the join page there is the lower right quadrant of the screen where there is a big "Join" button. So I log onto my PC all set to join and there is no join button.

I'm chalking this up to some recent updates in Windows 10 that have messed up a lot of things. I was told that one of the latest updates made a mess of how Java is used so maybe that's a factor here.

I'll just join through my iPad...

Thanks for pointing this out.

In my experience, there's often a small text link on the Join page before you are sent to the biller that says something along the lines of: "Problems joining with your credit card? Try these alternate payment methods." which then takes you to the selection of their alternate billers, whichever ones those may be. As previously suggested, emailing the webmaster is often a good solution too. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"
