My TV is 16:9 and my laptop is widescreen too. There's not a lot on TV nowadays in Britain that is in 4:3. Actually I can't think of anything that's in 4:3 Lots of adult stuff on the web is still in 4:3 though. DVDs would be nice in widescreen. Downloads I do not worry so much about. I have a 4:3 monitor so standard is nice for that. Even on a widescreen monitor 4:3 is nice because you can have the side pane up. I've been hooked since the arrival of the 16:9 widescreen view. I buy almost exclusively widescreen movies. I just wish I had a nice 50" screen to go with it. It's on my wish list for 2009. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

Definitely any regular movies I get I settle for nothing less than widescreen. I actually prefer the 16:9 format and which more of the movies would use it rather than higher ratios. It is very annoying to have a widescreen TV and still have black lines on the top and bottom. Most new TV shows are broadcasted in 16:9 so that ration would only seem logical. Porn is a little different for me still. I really do not mind 4:3. My cheap ass dvd player I only use for porn does not even send the widescreen signal right to my TV. It ends up putting lines top, bottom, and left and right. For future use I would prefer 19:9 though. It would;d be simple enough for me to replace the retarded dvd player with one that would not mess that up. The only reason I do not now is I loved the remove this player uses. I do a lot of skipping around in porns so the remote is key. We are still way behind here in Canada when it comes to programs in 16:9. I subscribe to about 16 High Definition channels on TV and am lucky to get the odd show in widescreen, mostly in Prime Time. As to Porn Sites, that was one of the reasons I subscribed to "In The Crack" and "FTV Girls" because they are now HD and 16:9. I am actively looking for similar sites because on my widescreen monitor, the picture leaves you breathless! | |

Sorry to deal with the technical stuff w/in this thread. We try to handle glitches as we become aware of them. As far as the video ratio .... I'm not that picky. I have one monitor that 16:9 and one that's 4:3 but I rarely watch any video full screen. I'm much picker that the video is nice and clear (not a lot of pixalation). To answer the question of the thread - I always prefer wide screen aspect ratios (be it 16:9 or any of the other popular wide screen formats) as they mirror the way humans see the world - it is much more engaging in my opinion. At any rate, as we all are switching over to High Definition for movies and television, both preferring wide screen aspect ratios, it seems logical for porn to follow the trend. Definitely widescreen - it's a waste of good screen space with those damn black bars at the sides of my 16:9 HDTV and 16:10 monitor. But obviously content and models do take priority over screen aspect :), so I still watch a lot of 4:3 porn, but I really think widescreen for anything video content shot within the last year or so isn't too much to ask for. | |

I think it would also be nice if photographers remembered that many people with widescreen monitors like to look at pictures in 16:9! (complaining about "portrait style" pictures is my hobbby!) :-) | |

That's exactly me as well. One 19" with a 4:3 and one 17" with a 16:9. It really makes no difference to me what the aspect ratio might be. But I love the videos that are crisp and are not messed up by technical flaws. | |
