Why does anyone like b/g scenes?

This is asked from curiosity and not from a desire to offend those of you who enjoy b/g hardcore.

Some of you might look incredulous, some might say, is he off his rocker, that's what porn is all about, but I am really serious. I don't understand the love for b/g scenes.

I invariably go for female solo, strip or masturbation, or both. I can be very interested in Lesbian material (unless they are sucking on fake penises) but I honestly, truly, do not understand the liking for boy/girl scenes, seeing that the "boy" has the same equipment I have (well, maybe a bit larger) and most b/g scenes will invariably focus for the larger part of a scene on close-ups of the above mentioned equipment.

Some dislike POV almost as intensely as I do when it comes to b/g scenes but I think POV is a far more rational approach to porn than the other way because it allows you to put yourself into the scene and dream a bit. So I understand that.

Yes, I've read complaints about all the mindless talking in some of the videos and agree. I despise over-acting as well, but my biggest complaint at the moment (seeing that a bargain video site was my only viable financial option this month) is the fact that I have the choice of a never ending supply of videos with "stars" that are all doing the same thing.

So, the question, asked from honest curiosity: what is it that makes b/g videos so attractive to those of you who like them? Is it the fact that you are collecting porn stars and they all do it? Is it a certain act within the genre? BJ, DP etc. and you can't get enough of it?

What makes some of you clamor for more b/g contents in sites? I really would like to know! And I won't make an argument pro or con out of it. I did that already above to a certain degree, didn't I, but basically I just want to know why, if it can be explained at all. Thanks.

Any psychiatrist will tell you that if a man is afraid to look at heterosexual pornography there is the likelihood of latent homosexuality involved; the same goes for a man who is exclusively interested in lesbian porn.

Why you ask? Because if the homosexuality is latent, it can only express itself in veiled terms, in other words, Lesbianism is homosexuality, but with no males, therefore safe as expression. And fear of heterosexual porn is safe because it apparently denies the homosexuality that is latent by eliminating the penis from the viewing.

A heterosexual male would find a model with heterosexual porn, it's quite apparent. If you like baseball, you watch baseball, not hockey!

Porn for me is like food. I love to eat different things. I may prefer one food over another and there are some foods that I will never eat. The main things is diversity. I look at Porn in the same way. I enjoy B/G stuff and I enjoy lesbian stuff. I do not watch gay porn (ie: male/male). I think foreplay which includes touching and deep kissing is a must. I think penetration whether with a penis or it's rubber equivalent is also very important. I love to watch anal sex. There was a time when I thought the same thing about dp's, but nowadays the extreme style of dp's and in some cases anal, make me cringe and lose wood real fast.

I tend to agree that POV is way overated. It was OK in the days of Ed Powers. The girls he was having sex with were newbies and wanted only him in the room. That meant that he had to be innovative. Most of todays stuff involves girls that are pros, so that reasoning makes no sense. Most of todays POV smell of narcissism more than anything else. Long live the Brown Coats.

When it come to POV I thinkit was a good idea and can be nice if professionally done. The issue is that too many people took it as an excuss to have only two people there for the scene. The girl and the camara-man/male performer. Basically this is prostitution with the hope of selling the video of the act. These nealy always very poorly put together because the guy simply does not care nor have the money to do so. Making the video was not his point, screwing the girl was the point.

I am not a huge fan of b/g scenes. I do get into b/g/g scenes a litte more. I prefer lesbian the most.

I do not feel that a guy liking b/g is gay in any way. After all it is the natural way. It most closy resembles what most of us desire.

I think that part of the reason I do not get into b/g scenes is that I do not imagine myself in his place. I usually take it for what it is, watching the act. We call them "b/g scenes," but in truth, it's the girl us guys are interested in. And us guys think we'd like that with her. So a guy must be shoved (if you'll pardon the expression) into the milieu to achieve that effect. Well, really, he has to do his own damn shoving.

So never mind the naming conventions. The "boy/girl" collocation is very much misleading. We shouldn't read too much into that.

"B/G" porn scenes very much favor the female. She's the star. Have a look at most any porn site and it's the GIRL'S name that goes with the scene. Even if she's kinda homely.

And it's almost misandric in its treatment of the male. We don't care WHO he is. What? He's got a name? (Select. Ctrl+X.) He'd better keep his face out of the action scenes and his voice down. And just get to work, do a decent job, and get outta here.

And don't expect to get a video interview of your porn-drone ass on the website, either! The subscribers DO NOT give a rat's if YOUR favorite position is doggie style or if you've ever done it with another guy!

So it just comes down to this: We like the girls! S'it! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Feb 12, 2009, 01:14pm

I tend to agree that most of todays male performers are treated in the same way as the couch or bed ie: as furniture. How many of us can name more than 2 or 3 of todays male performers? I could easily name five from the early days of porn. Each had his own style and therefore the girls tended to react differently with each of them. It's true that we watch porn for the women. Take them out of the equations and none of us will watch porn. Todays gonzo no longer requires acting talent, but when you had story driven porn then the
guy was important. Long live the Brown Coats.

B/g are not my favorite either, and I think because it tends to actually ruin the fantasy for me. Instead of just one (or more) beautiful girl(s), there's some dude taking over and seemingly calling the shots. Okay, unless it's just a one-on-one POV, then he probably is not really in charge, but the simple fact that there is a guy present fills in where my imagination normally would.

I almost universally cannot compete physically or sexually with even a fraction of what I see porn studs do, so generally the less I see of them the better. I don't mind the occasional b/g, but too often and it ends up heightening the reality of what I see onscreen (regardless of how little of it is actually real), rather than whatever twisted fantasies I think up in my mind.

Some of my all time favorite models over the years have been ones who have only done solo or girl-girl work, or that was all I had seen of them. All too often I eventually see a girl's b/g work and have been strangely disappointed, as if all the hype I had worked up in my head was too good to be true. If I never see a girl do a b/g scene, I can always imagine things like Well, she might do this, or I bet she likes this with a guy, but when reality finally appears, it can be a cold, unsatisfying slap in the face. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hardcore Commie works." - Gen. Jack D. Rippper, Dr. Stranglove

TurboShaft. I agree. I was actually a little disappointed when I first seen Amy Reid in a hardcore scene. For a while all I had of her was girl/girl and solo. I actually liked it better that way. Sorry, guys. Five minutes after I wrote this post I came down with the flu/cold and this is the first time I've been back on the 'puter. Interesting views, all. My views are best reflected in those of turboshaft and, no, jd no latent homosexuality present here. I've lived long enough to be pretty certain of that! Latent lesbianism, definitely because I love women and that's all I want to see! :-)

Lesbian/solo/toy scenes don't do anything for me. I like b/g because I can put myself into the mix (in my mind of course) and see how a girl works it in bed. Look at someone like Annie Cruz, Olive O'Lovely, Ricki White or Rachel Starr. What makes them good is the way they work the guy off. They energy they do the guy with is what makes it exciting thinking about if they were doing that to me. In a solo scene, all I'm doing is looking at a naked woman not doing much, which I can get that just off of pictures. No need for videos. Lesbian scenes aren't much better...two girls eat each other, suck tits and maybe use a strap-on/dildo. You can't work it the same way as a guy.

With that said, POV is horrible. You can't appreciate the way they perform with POV even though it's what you really would see.

Isn't it funny, I was tempted to write exactly that a few replies earlier! :-)
