Alt porn sites and the growing acceptance of tattoos. OK, First thing. Let's talk about tattoos in porn. There are sites where the viewership doesn't like them, sites that accept them and sites where the viewership celebrates them. People have preferences and it is a topic not unlike shaved or bushy, heels or bare feet, etc. I do have a comment and I have a question. Comment: as far as I can tell, PU does not have any specific reviews or list any sites that fall into what I think has recently been deemed the "alt" genre. This would include Suicide Girls (not a traditional porn site but there are some OMG beautiful women with amazing artwork there), alterotic.com, and a few others. If we can have reviews of fringe sites like Naked News and Mr. Skin, I think it is time to identify this niche and start rating sites within it. It is clearly a growing genre. In general, I have not seen a huge change in the softcore sites like Met-Art and Femjoy, but European sites and several of the VR sites have accepted that their porn stars may have many ornate and intricate tattoos. Question for readers: As tattoos become more commonplace and as they seem to be constantly improving, have you become more accepting of them than you once were? Reply with your thoughts..... I'd say tattoos are more popular than ever. They're even more popular in many other parts of the world, i.e., Europe and South America. Personally, I still hate 'em unless it's minimal and tasteful. You didn't expand much on "alt" sites and I'm not exactly sure what is meant by that. For me, 2018 was a break from traditional porn and paying sites. I've groaned before (along with many of you) how repetitious and boring porn sites have become. As a result, I went searching for alternatives. For the past 6 months or so, I've been mining one of the last vestiges of the wild wild net. Not the darknet, though that qualifies. But is also a minefield where only the knowledgeable and brave should wander. I'm referring to Usenet. It's a forgotten and unused place by most and has existed since 1980. Things haven't changed all that much. It's a PITA to search, video quality is often the pits and it's as disorganized as it was in 1980. However, there's some excellent and, more important, different stuff to be found, mostly by amateurs. The cost is minimal - I think I paid $100 for a year with no download limit. Price was not the motivation though. The thrill of coming across some great and different stuff was my only motive. | |

Yeah tattoos are much more popular these days on sites were you would of never seen them a few years ago, miles more euro girls have them now, I hate them now as ever lol, I think they take away from the beauty of skin on a woman, I love art too which is weird I guess that I just don't like seeing permanent art scrolled over something that was more beautiful without. But to watch porn these days you have to put up with them I guess., If a model is ink free though they will get my attention still first. I've never been a fan of tattoos but I've learned to accept them. They're just part of the current generation of women who would be looking to get into porn. If I'm going to lust after the 18-22 crowd then I'd better get used to the ink. (Though it's always a treat to see a new model with few to no tattoos.) | |

I've never really cared for tattoos one way or another, as long as they are not very terrible I generally find them easy to ignore. I do remember one girl that had an octopus stretched down her legs and ending on her asshole...that was something else. They are for sure more common, but such is life. An alt section would be interesting though, if nothing else because it would highlight some of the more unique sites, Burning Angel was a really pleasant discovery I didn't think I would like, but became a regular at. | |

More people wear tattoos today and by extension more people willing to work in the adult industry have them. I think that is why we see far more porn performers with tattoos now than we used to but about the only places where an heavily tattooed performer is likely to work on a regular basis are alt-sites like Burning Angel. Ask any director, producer or agent what he would tell any future performer. Do not get ink if you want a long career in porn because they know that it may greatly affect the kind of career a performer has. The size, quantity and in many ways the location of these tattoos may mean that a performer can be ultra popular and have a long career or fade into the unknown because most producer think that while she has a gorgeous face, amazing body and is willing to do about anything on film. They will never book her because of her body art. Now that doesn't mean that some women can't have amazing careers lasting many years(if not decades) but those are the exceptions and not the rule. Bonnie Rotten and Joanna Angel are perfect example of heavily tattooed women with long porn career. I can't list the ones that suffered for their tattoos because the list is too long. Daizha Morgann... I had not seen her before but now that I have, I have to wonder if that artwork isn't off target by about 2 inches....or maybe not complete. Yes, I also joined Burning Angel and it has some very keepable sets. Jook, I think maybe my drift into the "alt" sites...places with a totally different set of models, most of which have tattoos, is just the next effort to find something new. I'm not sure who branded them alt sites, but it seems like a good name. Alt covers Emo, Punk, tattoos, and probaly cosplay and anime style modeling. You can google the term to find many lists of sites in the category. What strikes me as interesting is that I once thought that the tattoo niche was dominated by older biker chicks with bolt-ons. That does not seem to be the case, although a few are 30-40+ (Joanna Angel, of Burning Angel, is 3  . Skippy | |

So far, in addition to Suicide Girls, I've joined Burning Angel and one called alterotic.com, which is a small, all-inclusive network that has everything from softcore strip and masturbation videos, to hardcore sex, several fetishes, latex to actual piercing and tattooing videos. Wide range of meodel, some fairly popular. I would rate them in the high 70s if there was a review opportunity, primarily because I am an image person and this place is mostly videos with screen caps. Many of the vids are pretty good. I think that "alt girls" have become so mainstream that often they don't promote them as anything special. I sometimes see sites these days that actually promote themselves based on NOT having tattooed women rather than having them. I do think that often when someone isn't into them, they're really not into them - but sometimes you have to accept that the world changes in terms of taste and style. | |

^They haven't become mainstream and probably never will but that doesn't mean that the industry is unwilling to hire women with tattoos but if you watch many scenes that star these women then you will notice that producers usually get the women to wear a piece of clothing to hide as much as possible the tattoos or they shoot the scene in such a way that their tattoos are rarely shown in the shots. It's been my experience that most porn fans watch porn because they want to see good looking people have sex with other good looking people. I doubt that most secretly hope that their favorite performer gets tattoos. In fact I suspect most of them get annoyed if or when one of their favorite decides to change anything about him/herself but more so if the change is permanent. Long live the Brown Coats. | |
